Definitely still bring all my vehicles here. Love the service and the pricing. I like being able to grab my own oil or parts and just have them do the labor if I choose to do so. I want to put a special type of oil in one of my vehicles and I just drop it off with the oil and filter in the trunk and they take care of the rest.

Awesome customer service and the prices are in line. The owner carl is very helpful with suggestions. Very well recommended.

I had some issues with having my tires balanced by them and it turns out their machine was out of calibration but they had it fixed and re balanced my tires. The prices were better than most around for new tires. The customer service is very good and the free drive to work if you drop your car off is very helpful.

I pulled up to New England Tire to get my window fixed as soon as it started to rain! An employee instantly noticed that my window wouldn’t go up and promptly took my car inside out of the rain. I had researched comparable prices at other locations, so I knew their prices were fair. Although it took a little while to get the parts I needed, the staff was very nice and the location was very convenient to the Attleboro courthouse. I will definitely be back!

I purchased a Groupon for three oil changes, which was a great deal! I have always made appointments, but my car is always taken in upon arrival and the job has been completed in a reasonable amount of time. Carl at the front desk is very pleasant and courteous. I will definitely be back!

Relationships & Trust still matter
I’ve been coming to these guys for over a decade, and they’ve never steered me wrong.
Admittedly, I began taking my Mercedes for warranty service the past few years until I realized I was paying 2x the price for the same value I’d get from NE Tire.
Carl & gang sold me a reasonable set of tires, have me on a convenient maintenance schedule, and have been very flexible to accommodate my schedule.
I will go there to buy my tires, get general maintenance, and anytime my cars need work.

Definitely wish I could give 0 stars. Everyone beware of this place. They are completely dishonest. Most recently I took my car there for an oil change and tire rotation. They had a big sign out front «19.99 oil change and free tire rotation». I also bought my tires here, so I knew that included free tire rotations as well. I have gone to this place in the past out of convenience. It is walking distance from where I work, so I can bring my car in drop it off and then pick it up at the end of the work day. I no longer will be doing what is convenient.
I dropped my car off around 8:15am and told them I didn’t need to pick it up until after 5pm, so they could take their time, but I wanted to get my oil changed and have my tires rotated. I mentioned the tire rotation multiple times and I was already registered when I checked in. I picked up my car at the end of the day and went to the parking lots. I mark my tires so I knew instantly that they didn’t do the tire rotation that I asked for and that was printed on my receipt. I also asked them when I picked up my car and they said it had been. Well, it had not. They lied. I couldn’t believe it. I was so furious so I drove home.
After talking to my husband and co-​workers who know a lot about cars I decided enough is enough. I had another past incident before where they failed my car from inspection and said I needed a ridiculous amount of work done. I took it to my mechanic and they said it should not have failed and he did do some repairs, but the cost was FAR less than what NE Tires wanted to charge.
I went I’m the following day and told them sternly, but calmly that I was extremely dissatisfied and that they didn’t get away with lying about rotating my tires. I really do agree with another person who posted that the place shows signs of sexism. I very much feel that because I’m a woman they are trying to take advantage of me. I will not let the get away with this again. I told them I didn’t want anything free or reimbursed I just wanted them to know that they lost a customer and that I will very much spread the word about the type of «establishment» that they are.
Funny because they are advertising a free oil change to anyone who rights a positive review on Unilocal.Clearly they know they are criminal.

Brought my brand new car in for an inspection sticker, watched the workers go in and out of other older cars with plastic and paper floor mats and thought, O.K. that is good. Still being skeptical, I watched them pull my new baby out the garage and the guy gets out with no plastic on my seat, no paper floor mats. Are you kidding me? Upon checking my car, it is left with giant dirty feet and hand prints everywhere, I went back in to complain only to have them say, «oh sorry about that, he has been warned about that before. I’ll send him out to clean it.» REALLY? Warned about trashing cars before and yet you let him still have access to brand new cars? He came out and brushed off my car mat, big whoop. Tip of the Day: Pass on this establishment, go to SpeeDee right next door! I will never bring my car or any of our family cars to this establishment for any reason, obviously they have no respect for their customers.

If it were possible to leave ZERO stars, I would have done it. I would strongly advise you to find another place to do your inspections and auto repairs.
I took my vehicle here for an inspection on Friday morning. I was told that my car had failed the safety component of the inspection, but passed emissions. The problems: 1) wheel bearing with «excessive play» and 2) leak in the resonator of the exhaust system. I was told that these safety issues were of «great concern» and needed fixed immediately to the tune of $ 1100.
I told them I would be taking my car and would get back to them for the repairs. I then drove my car, immediately, to my mechanic that I have gone to for all repairs for the last 12 years. He checked the car over quickly and reported that 1) the wheel bearing issue had a very slight give and it was nothing to be worried about. I was told it could probably be manually tightened and that’s it. Didn’t need $ 300 worth of repairs and didn’t need new parts. 2) the «resonator» that was going to cost $ 750 was not the actual problem. I had a small leak in the cat converter (a problem that I was made aware of a year and half ago, but until we failed emissions, it didn’t need to be fixed). Mechanic said this was not something to be worried about and he could fix it for $ 570. Made an appointment for the following Tuesday.
Monday morning, we call New England Tire and ask for a formal, written estimate for the repairs. Interestingly, the inspector was there, but Kevin, who quoted me $ 1100 was not and could not give me an estimate until later in the day when he arrived. Once he did arrive, he faxed my husband an estimate, that came in at that time at $ 612. So all of a sudden, upon recollection, there was just a manual adjustment to be made on the wheel bearing to the tune of $ 100 vs. the $ 300 that was originally quoted and the «resonator» job was only going to be a total of $ 500 vs the $ 750 I was originally quoted on the day of the failed inspection. Why the drastic changes???
Needless to say, we stuck with our mechanic who fixed the problems. I took the car back in today for the re-​inspection (first re-​inspection is free per State guidelines and Kevin told me this on Friday before I left). I pick up my now-​passed vehicle and Kevin tells me I owe him $ 29 for the inspection. I tell him that I thought the re-​inspection was free and he gets all flustered and tells me no. Excuse me?! Another gentleman had to step in to this conversation and yes, confirmed that the re-​inspection was free… as was on the new inspection report and on the computer… the same computer where Kevin was reading that I owed him $ 29.
This people are dishonest and cannot be trusted. I hate to play the «woman card» but it does make me wonder. Just because I have boobs and two car seats in my vehicle doesn’t make me an idiot. I strongly advise you to be very wary of these people. I don’t know what games are being played or if they are just highly incompetent. Either way, stay away!

When I got here today there were two other cars waiting for inspection stickers. After an hour it was finally my turn to get my inspection done. The attendant continued to say diferent parts of my car like brakes needed repair. I showed him my bill dated 2\3\2011 that my car car had just gotten new brakes, struts, and ty rods. He continued to inspect my car for another hour and a half until he found a minor and questionable rejection item. I would not recommend anyone going to this garage unless are expecting to spend much money on repairs before trying to get an expection sticker.

Great Service! I needed a new tire for my truck. It’s a total beater so I wanted the cheapest tire possible. I called them on a Thursday evening. They quoted me over the phone $ 165 installed. Sounded reasonable so I brought it there the next day to have installed. While I was waiting I overheard they offer a AAA discount (they don’t advertise this. Ask for it!). It ended up only costing me $ 125. I was ecstatic! They also removed my spare tire from under the truck which I didn’t have the tools to do (no charge for that). They also don’t try to sell you up and offer you services that you really don’t need. I really appreciated that. Will absolutely go back when my car needs tires. Highly recommended.

I was leaking coolant, took a look and found that it looked like it was coming from one of 3 hoses directly above the oil dipstick. I have a great mechanic that I normally go to for my old volvo and my brother in law is a volvo mechanic but since both of them are now over 30 minutes away and it was just a hose I figured «why drive that far or bother my brother in law I will just bring it to the Auto repair place right across the street, they can handle that for me. Replacing a hose cant cost more than 75 bucks. I dont want the hassle. »
I dropped my car off w NE Tire, telling them where the leak is and went on my merry way.
They called me back an hour later saying that my radiator was blown and it would cost 750 dollars to replace. I said that sounds funny, the leak was coming from somewhere above the dipstick (I could see the drip) and could they double check it? He said they ran tests and the radiotor isnt handling pressure and the drip I saw must have been from fluid running along the wires and hoses from the radiator. He also told me that my FRONT brakes are completely shot and would give out soon. They needed to be replaced badly. That repair would be an additional few hundred dollars.
I deferred to their experience and knowledge (I am not much of a mechanic) but explained I told them I couldnt drop that much money into my car and that I had called my brother in law who said that 750 was a very high quote. NE Tire was very cool about this. They did not charge me the 29 dollar assessment fee. I felt grateful to them.
My brother in law had said that he would do the radiator for me (I bought it retail up the street for 120 bucks… not at a discount auto parts store or anything just the closest shop to me).
My brother in law drained the coolant, undid the old radiator and slid the new one in. Total time: 20 minutes. Why would this cost $ 750? Who knows.
But it gets worse. My mechanic brother in law looks at the old radiator and says «This looks ok, usually if the radiator is blown there are streaks on the outside where the fluid has been running out. There are no streaks on this. Are you sure those guys said that the radiator was blown?»
We refill the new radiator now installed in my car with coolant. THE LEAK IS STILL THERE… COMING FROM ONE OF THE HOSES ABOVE THE OIL DIPSTICK. My brother in law (professional mechanic) points it out to me. «Your old radiator was fine he says. one of these hoses is leaking.»
It’s 9:30 at night and my brother in law has already worked a full day and helped me with my radiator. Im not going to ask him to drive w me to auto parts store to buy hoses and go through this again.
I’m going to bring it to my regular mechanic I say to myself. I need to do the brakes anyway, right? I might as well have him do the hose and look over my old volvo anyway. I bring it to him. I TELL him what happened and he says he knows exactly what it is (without looking at it). He pops the hood and replaces a hose (it is a hose that wraps directly above and around the oil dipstick — where I told NE Tire to look– and shows me the large break in the hose (right in the crease). Did NE Tire even look at it? Are they just inept or con men I say to myself. Either way they suck.
My mechanic tells me my rear brakes are a little low, not bad and he can throw some new pads on them. Says he wouldnt do anything to the FRONT for another 10, 000 miles (about a year with my driving habits). HUh? NE TIRE told me my fronts were dangerously bad, not just the pads but everything on the front brakes was junk.
All in all, The NE Tire folks I dealt with are either completely incompetent or totally dishonest. Maybe they sell decent tires, who knows but dont use them for ANY repair. Not even replacing a hose.
