The best! An Attleboro paragon of old-timey excellence. A literal train-car hole in the wall diner, this place serves legendary hot dogs and french fries. Been coming here for years, always a delicious experience.

It Tex one to know one, and Tex Barry’s is owned by a lot of Barrys that you know well. Barry White, Barry Gibb, Barry Manilow, and Barry Thahatchet. WHATTOGET: Hot Dog WHATELSE: There’s barry anything else to say. I found this to be a dirt cheap, enjoyable, but unremarkable hot dog, rated exceptionally highly in a small town in progressive, leafy Massachusetts. It’s a page out of history with the décor, the pricing and the service more akin to the 1950s than anytime since. If you’re in Attleboro and want a diner snack, you could do a lot worse than this. But if you’re looking for a boyfriend, you couldn’t do much worse than me, to be honest.

This is a good little diner. it’s a small place and it will be a bit cramped. It has vary basic, but good food. The service is pretty good too. The hot dogs is a specialty here.

This isn’t some gourmet establishment, but you know what you’re getting here. I’ll have mine«all the way». Simple and delicious!

This is a classic train car hole in the wall joint. There are 8 things on the menu and its simple. Cheese hot dog is literally a hot dog with a piece of cheese lol. Got $ 5 bucks in your pocket you cam leave with a full stomach

Found this via Unilocal.Very basic place with great hot dogs. Have fries and burgers also. Seats about 15, 7 at the counter. Had 2 cheese dogs and they were amazing. Well worth the drive off of I95

My wife grew up in the ‘boro and we hit Coney Island pretty much every time we’re up from NYC. Chili Cheese dogs«all the way» with fries and coffee milk(hailing from the Pac NW, my life forever changed with my first coffee milk here many years ago). Fountain Cokes are mixed great and burgers are good if, for some strange reason, you’re not feeling like dogs. Only gripe is that they close for a couple of weeks around the 4th of July, which somehow we always forget. I guess it’s not unreasonable for them to have a few days off… I guess…

Best hot dogs period. No need for me to say anything, everyone in the area knows that the hot dogs that come out of this place are nothing short of legendary. Also, very reasonably priced.

Any Attleboro resident knows of this little gem in the heart of the city. Right next to a cute little park(not sure of official name). It is a great place to grab a bite. I have been a «regular» at this place since I was 16 and moved to Attleboro and now me and my children share it together. The whole family loves Tex Berrys and it is a wonderful flash back to what old dinner cars use to be and the food that they were known for.

I LOVETEXBARRYS!!! Attleboro born and raised. I grew up with these hot dogs. I still get 4 all the way every chance I get. They are addictive to say the least. I with I could give them 10 stars.

This place is a classic! They sure don’t make ‘em like this anymore. Stopped in for my first time today and talked to the lady working the cash register. The diner was built in 1924 and I believe that some of the stools at the counter are from 1924. I had 2 dogs with everything, fries and a small soda — $ 6.20. Can’t beat that. The dogs and the fries were excellent!

Absolutely, no contest. Just go. «Run it through the garden», get fries and a fruit punch.

The building itself is like an old trailer. It has counter seating and about 4 tables. It’s a narrow building but the owner makes it work. Very Friendly/Quick service. My 11 year old loves coming here. The 2 of us can have a quick lunch for under $ 10.00 in 5 minutes. I would give this place 5 stars if it had A/C. We have stopped in a few times during some heat waves and it can get hot in there with just a fan. This isn’t a fancy place but the food/prices and friendly service will keep us coming back.

Five star joint. Minus half a star for being cash only, minus a star and a half for not having ice. Plus one star for the guy just being so damned nice(he must be from out of state). Arbitrary points system! Go here, you won’t regret it. For $ 5 I just had the tastiest lunch I’ve had all year. Seriously.

I have been coming here since I was a little girl, now my kids go here. It’s easy… hot dogs, maybe a cheeseburger, I order my fries well done. Quick, easy, inexpensive, and part of the hood. If you live in Attleboro, you love Tex Barry’s. I had my daughter’s birthday at the Y catered from there. Little brown bags. All the kids loved it. Well, it wasn’t exactly catered, we just ordered a bunch of combos!

So quick and traditionally delicious. My only vice is that I like cheese on my hotdog too. But for under $ 5 you can get two dogs w everything and a drink and some fries. Meat sauce is awesome. Service in seconds. They do one thing and they do it right. We love this place. Seating needs a little(a lot) of updates but it’s not a hang out. Grab a dog and sit in the park next door. Also. CASHONLY!

Went in with my boyfriend for a quick snack. Although it was sweltering the hotdogs were plump and cooked and the chili sauce had no beans!(boyfriend hates beans) the frys were just like Mcdonalds minus the salt!(add your own!) overall i would say delicious and affordable our bill was less than 8 $ for fries 2 dogs a small and large soda. YES!

Tex Barry’s rules. It’s a miraculously greasy little oasis in the culinary desert that is Attleboro. Before stepping inside, you must strip out of your concerns for décor, nutrition, and New Agey foods. It’s chili dogs, fries, and simple burgers. But damn — those are good. If I were ever on death row, I’d strongly consider it as my last meal.(And that’s coming from a vegetarian.) The guy who runs it, Art, is classy and nice. He also never forgets a face. I went to TB’s a few years ago with my fiancée, and he said, «Hey, good to see you — your brother used to come in here with you all the time, right?» That was 8 – 9 years earlier. Art is also tougher than nails: He’ll be cooking in the no-A/C former diner in the middle of the summer. I mean HE is literally cooking. Because you and I aren’t as cool as Art, I suggest eating at one of the park benches next door(at the park) if it’s hotter than about 85. That also allows you to go back for seconds.
