The Grooming Post

This was my first time to the grooming post… For my daughter’s service dog. Their price quoted, by phone, was 50 dollars. On arrival at 9 am, we arrived with 5 other dogs. The floors had blood stains and urine. They agreed to have the dog ready at 12:30. We were told at pick up that the cost was $ 60 because he was difficult to groom.. he was crying. They did not cut his nails, and probably didn’t do the ear hairs either… Curt and unsympathetic staff member. Poor quality service. I will never go there again…

I’ve been going to the grooming post for close to 19 years and would never consider taking my dog anywhere else. The staff are extremely friendly and personable. Prices are very reasonable and they offer every service under the sun. I recommend this grooming place to all my friends and they are happy with them as well.

I love these guys — and so does my dog! I have a white mini-​poodle, who does not stay very white. He loves going to see Tracy, Ashley and all the wonderful ladies at the Grooming Post. He gets groomed every 4 – 5 weeks, but he goes weekly for a bath. When he walks in, he can’t wait for the girls to come out of the back room and greet him, so he’s usually jumping on the door to get their attention.
Tracy charges very reasonable prices and always does a superior job. Teeth brushing, etc. are extras, and they always do a good job for Truman.

I am beyond upset! Just picked up my dog and cat and after 6 hours of being at the groomers the cat was never bathed and my dog was cut because they cut the nails too short and they never mentioned it. I came home and the blood from her wounds wound up all over my couch, carpets and floors, as well as my car! I called and the woman said she was sorry she didn’t tell me she cut her because she though the bleeding had stopped! My poor dog!!! I’m so upset! They didn’t even offer me a refund at all and charged me $ 58 plus I tipped those jerks $ 10 on top of it! NEVER USE THIS GROOMER!

these people do a great job with all our animals. They always have time to see our dogs or cat. They will do everything the animals need at a reasonable price. They are always friendly and treat our animals like their own. It takes a special group of people to perform these services in such a high quality way!

I thought I had already written a positive review for this groomer, but I was wrong, and I’m glad. On my first visit here, I was happy with the experience. My dog looked great; he seemed happy; and I loved that they had an option not to crate him (which he hates).
However, on the next couple of visits, I noticed everything seemed a bit careless and rushed. I noticed little grooming details that weren’t addressed: I questioned whether they actually brushed his teeth or cut his nails; he seemed nervous about me touching his nails, which leads me to think they hurt him; and it didn’t look like they trimmed the hair in his ears or paws.
Finally, I hit the last straw. My dog has been scratching his ear a lot lately, and it looks red/​black, irritated and dirty. He went to the vet on Monday, and my fear was confirmed that he has an ear infection — caused by the groomer not removing the hair from that ear!
I am so angry and annoyed, especially because this groomer is more expensive than my last, who treated my dog like family. I will definitely not be bringing him back here and now am on the hunt for yet another capable and loving groomer.

I bring my Morkie here, and they do a great job every time! The staff is extremely friendly, and very accommodating.
My only reason for the 4 stars is that they have never called me when she’s done. I never know when to get her! I guess I could call, but I don’t want to be a bother since they have so many dogs they’re trying to work on.
