Kerby’s Koney Island

This review is for the restaurant inside Great Lakes Crossing, not the food court side. My 4 friends and I went yesterday (Tuesday afternoon). Not a soul in the place. We all had bags, coats, purses, etc., and they wanted to squeeze us at a table with a chair at the end. The hostess seemed annoyed that we declined and asked for a bigger table, but pointed out the larger table in the back. Our waitress (sorry, didn’t catch her name since she didn’t offer it) was either new, or just didn’t care. My order (coney dog with chili cheese fries) came out fine and was good. The problem was with the Kerby Melt specials that 3 of my friends ordered. They all asked for well done fries, which they were not. In fact, they weren’t even hot. And the sandwichs were wrong too. It took her 3 times to try and fix the problems and STILL got it wrong. Had to ask someone else for drink refills. All 5 of us are servers and would not be allowed to give poor service like that. Will never go back or will not recommend.

I came here on August 2. We were seated and the servers were too busy talking to each other to acknowledge us. There were about 2 other tables that had people seated at them. After 10 minutes I approached the manager, told him we were sitting there, and we just walked out. I was with a 5 year old and 10 minutes is ridiculous that no one noticed us.

This place was such a disappointment. We walked up and the sign said wait to be seated so we stood there for a split second and the waitress said «um just sit where ever you want.» It took us a min to find a clean table, all of the tables were covered in old food or sticky. None of the waitresses cared tho because they would have to get up from the table they were sitting at to clean tables. My fiancé had to clean our table with a wipe from our daughters diaper bag. The whole restaurant was just gross spilled food on the floor it looks like there was a spilled shake or something on the floor and wall near one of the tables. The food was ok but the entire place was so filthy dirty I don’t think we will ever go back.

Aiming for something quick and cheap at the Great Lakes Crossing food court, we hit Kerby’s Koney Island. Since the koney dogs were on special, we ordered a couple of those and sodas. The girl who took our order was polite, and the woman who gave us our food was nice, even if she did not understand my request for extra forks and knives the first two times I asked. The koney dogs themselves were good. Overall we rate the Great Lakes Crossing Kerby’s Koney Island as being Good, and would return.

Its been first time I try this restaurant but it was good experiment Those guys make delicious Yeros Sandwiches, the food os tasty specially when they mix it with yogurt,
I will try it again of course
