Worst place ever smells extremely bad. Its so bad in fact that i wish I could rate it 0 that’s how bad it is. Strongly don’t recommend this place for anyone. Also food takes an hour to get.

Bad food overpriced unfriendly staff and a kids night that is a joke. The kids face painting staff member took so long that we got in line just after we ordered and by the time we returned to our seat our food was on the table and cold. I understand it is kids night but a random child kept coming to our table and eating our food. We will not be back

This place should close… it’s horrible. Unless you like fried foods that have no flavor, this is not a place one should eat. So my wife and I found ourselves shopping at the mall and our 2 year old was hungry, we decided to eat here, very bad choice! The place was empty, no hostess at the front, had to flag down the bartender and ask if they were still open? After a few minutes we were sat in the back by the gorillas and elephants! My daughter liked the atmosphere for a bit, but then the fries arrived, Bella lives off of fries, she’s two! The fries came out fast, I mean fast, so needless to say we got fries that not only were mushy but showed the classic signs of sitting in the«window» all night? Yea limp, cold, flavorless fries that have been sitting around forever… gross. At that point we decided that the kitchen manager and two managers that talked in the bar for about 20 minutes while we waited to order… Was a great sign not to order food from a kitchen with no manager in it, maybe that’s why our fries were so bad. We didn’t order entrees because we realized we were in the wrong place of we wanted to eat and not get mad that we paid money for shitty food. We ordered the app platter… the chicken wonton thing was flavorless and dry, the cheese sticks were barely hot, and the chips for the spinach dip stale… what would I have expected from a national chain that obviously stays open to spite the shitty fried food menu. You might be able to fool kids and people with zero care for the food they put into their mouths, but not this guy! I do not recommend this place to anyone ever…

We went here after we visited the Sealife Aquarium and had a great time. Our waiter Al, was awesome. Very gregarious and helpful in navigating the menu. The food was yummy. I highly recommend the salmon! It had hazelnuts and frangelico butter on it and had been grilled on a cedar plank– delicious. Our dessert, this chocolate concoction made with Heath, fudge, and ice cream sandwiches was so big– perfect to share with about 4 people! My 5 year old loved all the aquariums and animals. It’s kinda pricy, so don’t be shocked. But the service and food are worth it. Big portions and tasty. I only gave it 4 stars because I thought some of the animals were annoyingly fake looking. But food and service was excellent!

this restaurant has great ambience but terrible food. For what you pay you would expect decent tasting food(Leo’s Coney Island is better) but sadly Landry Restaurants needs to redo the menu aNd the cleanness of this restaurant and restrooms. As a parent and grandparent you want and EXPECT decent food and cleanness to be top notch for what you pay! We had 3 adults and a child cost was 70 $ and the omelet was tasteless the Mac and cheese blah(pasta to big for a child to eat) the burger with guacamole blah the large app totally gross. The only thing Landrys did right was the décor for children! Enjoy if you dare and have extra $$$ to THROW away. If Tillman Fertitta gave a crap about his Landry restaurants he would read some of the Unilocal reviews and fix Rainforest and his other restaurants. Just goes to show you he doesn’t care about the public or his reputation. It’s all about the $$$$$$$$.

I have never been more disappointed in a restaurant. We went as a family since it was supposed to be a family spot. However the prices were ludicrous especially for the quality of food. We had several hairs in our food everything was cold. Somehow even the burger. My daughter’s «fresh fruit» was bagged apples worse than McDonalds. The food was obviously frozen and heated up. It was soggy and not even warm thoroughly. The animatronics were mediocre at best. Take your money and kids somewhere else.

I get the gimmick for kids, my 5 yo was happily entertained. But really, the 30 yo animatronics at Disney World are more realistic than the plastic stuffed animals they have here. And for lunch the rating should be $$$ if not $$$$. I could not justify $ 14 for soup and salad. So just a plain salad it was. It was good and fresh but at $ 7way over priced for Romain and croutons. As for the kids menu there was a variety with of choices with the same $ 6 price tag on everything. As for service only being ¼ full and being seated next to the 10 person birthday party was odd at best. Guess they figured it was free bonus entertainment for us. At least I can say I’ve been, but I can also say I won’t be coming back.

Cool gimmicks. Food was awful. Coleslaw tasted dry and flavorless. The waitress said«it’s a drier slaw». We substituted the beans and rice. They were okay. Mango BBQ sauce tasted more like Sweet Baby Ray’s with Cumin added. Fries were cold. Coconut shrimp was as good as anywhere that sells coconut shrimp. Nice waitress. Poorly executed food, and at $ 17 for fish and chips I would atleast expect decent. Cross it off my bucket list we won’t be back. 9 hours later I am having some lower G.I. issues and other than coffee this was all I’ve eaten since 5 pm yesterday. Definitely don’t recommend. I’ve changed from 2 stars ton1 star and if I could I’d give negative rating.

Food didn’t taste good at all, it took the waitress 10 minutes to come to our table, and 30 minutes for the food to be served. We didn’t want chicken in our appetizer then we get chicken, very expensive

This isn’t my first visit to a Rainforest Café. At no point did I expect it to improve from previous experiences whether here or at any other location so please allow me to be brief. It has all of the archaic, animatronic charm of Chuck-E-Cheese while having all of the culinary panache of an Applebees. My wife thought the kids would like it but neglected to wonder what my thoughts were. Kids were only mildly impressed at best while the visit was lost on me the very moment I set my first foot in the gift shop that is laden with Chinese manufactured crap. It’s marketed to a be a family friendly place but just look at the menu pricing — outrageous and in no way family friendly at all. $ 17.99 Cobb Salad, so I passed. AREYOU F’INKIDDINGME? Basic fish and chip dinner, frozen and not at all fresh, was $ 16.99. WTFMAN? Half size Caesar salad was $ 6.99. Back to AREYOU F’INKIDDINGME? Summary: One fish and chip dinner entrée and one side Caesar with NO beverages, NO sides, NO apps and NO desserts, with tax, came out to $ 26.00. Heat and serve or deep fry and serve crap. Way to stick it to us Landry, Inc.

Food is expensive but kids meals are reasonable. $ 13 for adult cheeseburger and fries. It was very good though! We got the chimichangas and spinach artichoke dip and it was great! The atmosphere with the aquariums and moving animals is great too. They use to have a «storm» every 15 minutes with lightening, animals making noise etc… now it’s only every 30 minutes? MAKERESERVATIONS! Long wait times!

If your coming for the food… Turn around. If it’s for the kids it’s all good. Bland overpriced burgers, sandwiches & salads.

Nothing to rave about. You are basically paying for the atmosphere in which you are eating. The food is completely over priced and when ours came out it was luke warm at best. I am very underwhelmed and will not be returning any time soon.

Back story: my dad was in a plane crash five years ago, and to keep our spirits up, my family would sometimes get away from the hospital where he was being treated and just do something fun. He always said he wanted to take his grandson to the Rainforest Café when he recovered. Last year, he did just that! And we went again this year. And you know what? For all the«chain-iness» and slightly overpriced food, this is a special place for our family. We go, and for an hour, we forget our troubles, and we just watch one little boy(well, now there are two little boys! LOL) take in the magic of being in a mysterious, lively rainforest where animals come alive.

With a party of seven and four of them under the age of 13, we all really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The waiter we had was great and attentive of our needs. The kids loved walking around checking out all of the animatronic animals.

Wanted to come here w/my aunt for an early birthday celebration. Something cute & fun. And of course before going I looked @ reviews. I went thru every review and decided ok. Not this place. Because you know how it is nowadays– you Unilocal & if it’s not the place to go you just don’t go! We passed by it while shopping and my aunt insisted we go inside just to see the cute little rainforest décor! I was impressed. Really made me feel like I was Ina rainforest. On our way out we agreed that if we wanted to come back later & eat. We would. And that’s what we did. Upon arrival of course we went the wrong way, we didn’t know if someone was going to seat us or if we seat ourselves.(I’d think someone would seat us by the look/feel of the restaurant.) We went thru the bar & asked the bartender. He told us to go the other way where the hosts were.(We didn’t notice them @ first.) They let us pick where we wanted to sit, we chose to sit near the elephants! & there was an aquarium near us as well so it was the perfect spot. Our waiter took our drink orders & they came fairly quick. We took awhile to decide what we wanted to eat so our waiter came back about twice lol! Poor guy. We had ordered the Awesome Adventure Appetizer & added a side of St. Louis ribs for 5.99 $. The appetizer came with a little bit of everything.(Tenders, mozzarella sticks, artichoke dip.(To die for!) and a few other things which were delicious) I didn’t try the ribs, but my aunt said they were excellent. While eating the animals started to move around– the crocodile starts making noises and moving! The gorillas start talking and hitting their chest!(So cute!) & the elephants start to make noise while wagging their ears back and forth! I just loved it. Near the end I had gone to the restroom and I guess my aunt asked our waiter if they had anything small for a birthday. The volcano dessert looked amazing but neither of us would eat it so that’d be a waste. I guess they had bday cupcakes!(I didn’t know this until they brought out my little lit birthday cupcake) they also sang to me! The cupcake was on a plate with it looked like raspberry drizzle and confetti to me! Too cute! Most of the time restaurants don’t do this anymore. The place was packed the first time we had walked in just to check it out, and the second time we came in to actually dine– it had died down! Overall this place was a MUSTTRY! Especially if you have never gone. The atmosphere just makes it so much fun! Now had we gone with more people, I’m sure we’d have gotten the volcano dessert because that’s usually what people order for birthdays! But next time I will definitely try that. Our waiter was super sweet as well! Very polite and patient. I would recommend this place to anyone! I even saw people in their late 40’s-50’s in here. I enjoyed my time @ the rainforest café and I know I’ll be back!

Very disappointed in this place. My family was visiting from out of the country and I brought them to Great Lakes Crossing for the day. We decided to have lunch at 4pm, and went to rainforest for my little brother. Our experience was terrible. All of the orders got mixed up(cheddar instead of American in burger, fries instead of veggies as a side, the appetizer was super late, and my brothers burger came after everyone else finished eating because it went to the wrong table). The manager finally came to talk to us and told us she will take care of something’s on the bill. The bill came 30 minutes after we asked for it and we got 10% off, which is $ 10 off. Is this a joke? Went to the manager again to ask her if this is what she meant by «taking care of us»? She knocked off another $ 10. Btw we already had a 10% off coupon from mall passport. After some arguing by the boys, she took off about 30%. We paid and left. Save your money and go to the food court. It is overpriced and bland, and the service is horrible. I would never go back.

Rainforest Café is a restaurant highly geared towards families. Food is pricey, but generally pretty good. Being a fan of theme parks, I really enjoy the atmosphere in this place. There’s always something to look at. It’s not on par with the one in Orlando at Disney, but it’s still pretty good. It was in the middle of the afternoon, so it wasn’t very crowded. They made a point to seat people in areas with good views(close to the animals), which I appreciated. Our server must have been having a bad day or something. She just didn’t seem very happy at all. Service was still good though, so I can’t complain. I ordered the bbq chicken wrap with the rice. Good tasting, good portion size. Anyways, this place is ALWAYS a hit with kids 10 and under. Little ones might get scared when the storm sequence runs. It gets pretty loud.
