Auburn Movie Plex 10

I had some trouble deciding on how many starts to allot here. On one hand, this place is cheap (as far as movies go). I can take my two sons to a movie, buy tickets and concession grub, and not spend over $ 40. Try to do that at the movies in Destiny!
It’s a quick, trafficless drive for us from Skaneateles, and it is never typically crowded. Sounds nice, right? Well, then there is the other hand. The theaters are old, and run-​down. You would have a hard time finding any seat without a tear in it. the last time we saw a flick we were seated in the back which was near the door. The door would stick open any time someone came in or went out. Of course, when this happened (which was frequent) we were treated with a wash out dose of outside lighting and the noise of the lobby. Oddly enough, no one who came in or out realized that they were leaving the door open, so we had to keep getting up and closing it. Sucked. Another big issue is the sound quality. We watched a movie the other night where we could hear (rather loudly) the sound track and effects of a neighboring movie. That makes it a bit difficult to enjoy your movie.
Still, I somehow find myself going back here. Hence the three stars. I can deal with it for the price and convenience.

Hard to give this place even one star. On February 28^th I went to see «12 years a slave.» The theater was run down. The seats were all torn. Insulation was hanging from the ceiling. I could maybe live with all that but the lack of any oversight by attendants made the experience one of the worse in my life. People outside our theater were wandering the hall when their movie got out and made so much noise that every single person in our theater was upset by it. In our theater people also talked through the film and one lady, obviously with no interest in the film itself, was surfing the web on her phone and distracted several people around her until someone finally pointed out how rude she was being. Of course she argued the point! All in all, I’ll never return to this Cineplex for a movie… ever!

WORST MOVIE EXPERIENCE EVER! There is no sound proofing btw theaters. No attendant to come and check during movie, therefore the door was left open and the excess noise from hall was completely distracting from movie. The inattentiveness of staff led to excessive talking during the movie in addition to ppl using cell phones. The theater feels old and dirty, every seats was torn with cushioning exposed. I am appalled to have paid $ 8.50 to spend my evening like that. Will NOT be returning.
