Federal Express Ground

This is the worst shipping company ever. Waiting for my package two days in the row and they not even try to show up, but updating the status that they «attempted to deliver». This is the biggest BS I ever heard. Never ever shipping again with these JERKS!

The manager is a dick, fed ex is supposed to be efficient, expeditious, professional –I tried to ship out of here and it was lame on Many levels, more than I want to even write about, don’t send anything important out from here.

I am extremely frustrated with my recent experience when I purchased an appliance from
. Not only did the product arrive 3 days late but it arrived banged up. And FedEx could not explain why it was delayed when I spoke to them.
It was supposed to have arrived Friday, August 21. I waited and took time off to be here so we could get it installed once it arrived. No call and no show. I called on Saturday to ask if it was to arrive on Saturday. I was told that the Auburn location was closed till Monday. I was so appalled that I was never told about this delay.
Online tracking had noted that it had arrived on Friday at 3 a.m., so it was sitting there on Friday morning and Friday night. It never went out. Then, on Monday I called and they told me it was left behind again! The man on the phone (Tom) was nice and he insisted he would deliver it personally that afternoon. It arrived– but DAMAGED. I don’t believe by Tom but by the entire trek from who knows where? China? Now we are arranging for Walmart to pick it up. We don’t even want to order online. We decided to go with Glenn at Lowe’s in Tukwilla. They know how to handle their products and offer free installation.

Great location but horrible access and bad roads they need to improve this area before someone gets seriously hurt other than that its an aweosme place to go to work and or have a job interview. Right in the heart of Auburn

I was expecting a package, in accordance to the tracking number. I saw the FedEx truck drive down my street and then it just pass my house. The driver didn’t even attempt to stop. He didn’t even slowed down to throw an ‘attempted delivery note’ towards my house.
I made a quick check of the tracking system again, and now it says ‘attempted to deliver.’ What a load of crap! The driver didn’t attempt anything. And to think, I paid extra for overnight shipping.
So I called the Fed-​Ex office to have them have the driver to do his job and bring me my package. I got the rudest impersonal operator that essentially said I’m ‘SOL’ and I’ll have to wait until tomorrow. When I asked to speak to a superior, she hung up on me. What a ‘shi**y’ company.

I worked from home today waiting for an expected package. Waited waited waited — the tracking info said it was on the truck for deliver so I waited still. Nothing. I went to bring the trash cans up from the driveway and noticed something attached to my front door. A door tag? An attempted delivery? But wait — I was at home all day. I didn’t jump in the shower quick, I wasn’t on the phone and didn’t hear my doorbell. I was home all day. My roommate was home all day. My doorbell didn’t ring. There was no knock at my door.
I call the 800 number and am told how very sorry they are (gawd, I hate call center scripts) and that they can re-​delivery on Monday. Except you know what? That package was sent specifically so I would have it prior to a work trip that commences on Sunday night. I offer to pick up the package on Saturday, even if it means a ferry boat ride and a 30 mile drive. No dice — they tell me the facility isn’t open on Saturday. I ask if they can get it to San Diego sometime Monday. No, they tell me — they can only deliver to my home and if I am not there on the third attempt, they will return to the sender. I won’t be home until Wednesday night. So I’m offering to do their job and pick up the damn package and I’m told I can’t even do that. Then they tell me that based on their zone maps the package shouldn’t have arrived until Monday anyway and it is actually early. If that is the case, WTH did my tracking number continually say that the package was on schedule for a Friday delivery???
I’m not convinced the driver even rang my doorbell or knocked on the door. I was here all day. Someone else was here all day too. I strongly suspect the driver was in a hurry to finish for the day and simply slapped a door tag on my door because it was quicker than knocking, waiting for someone to answer and sign for the package.
I’m beyond frustrated. I paid good money for something to be shipped and delivered and it won’t be there on time. What a joke.

Were to begin with this loser outfit! Only FedEx Ground plays this secret squirrel ops game. What is that? Apartment buildings in the area will no longer except packages in the office because FedEx Ground, not the other FedEx companies, overload management with packages because the independent contractor… ie…FedEx Ground is too lazy to go to the door and knock. Now what they do is, tape a note to the door without knocking!!! Why? I’m not sure… and when calling to complain, the driver makes you the last delivery of the day.

Waiting for my new computer, waiting waiting. So excited to get it. I call, um, they cant tell me if its on the truck or not, what! find it, its $ 2000!!! THEY LOCATE IT, IT SHOULD ARRIVE TODAY, yeah… I check the tracking number, waited all day for it. I was home. Theres a note on the site, custome/​business closed cant deliver. WTF! I was home all damn day, waiting. Call, no you can’t get it, we will redeliver next day. 8am on site, customer not home. UMMM, yes I was. No door tags, My unit is on the 2^nd floor, the address on package says 2^nd floor, but fedex never bothered to read it, obviously, or was too lazy to go up, 1 flight of stairs, since theres no door tag, I doubt they even got out of the damn truck. So i request it to be held at tukwila kinkos, they tell me, it wont be here till the next day, OK. I call the next day to check, nope, wont arrive till the next day. call edex, its at the klent/​auburn location. I go get it instead. Its like just an office, no front desk, weird, got package, but bitched him out about it. Oh and fedex express, in a few buildings over, they front desk girl, super rude, thats too many tracking numbers, you need to go to ground. Like ground is a horrible thing to use. Man, what a bunch of A-​holes.
Ahhhh, number 2 experience, This is about a week later. Ordered a tablet, (the laptop was for my BF) anyway. Suppose to be delivered friday, Mind you I was home all damn day again waiting for another package from home depot, who sucks as well, enjoy that review. Anyway, for some reason this package, is going at a record snails pace to me. So far its been hanging in Cali for 4 days. The website finally says it’ll be delivered today, due to the previous experience, I have called them like 4 times to make sure its coming and they will come upstairs. I got signs downstairs, saying to go to the 2^nd floor and deliver. I got a sign on my door saying go ahead and leave the package on door step. WILL it get delivered? OMG, I will update you today. However they say they will deliver by 8pm, which is BS, if its not here by 3pm, it aint coming, I know that… Update, it arrived, F-​ing amazing.

If you’re lucky enough to have a giant package that can’t be contained in a mailbox, it’s likely to be shipped by FedEx. And if there’s no one home to sign for it, it gets stored here: the terminal for Fed Ex Ground.
While they’re willing to arrange delivery over the phone, sometimes it’s just easier to pick it up yourself. Which is sort of an interesting experience compared to the local post office pick up.
There’s a number of parking spots just outside the walled-​off compound that is the FedEx hub. I ended up walking up to a guard station where I was stopped and asked for my tracking number (which fortunately, I had remembered to bring). Delivering the package took 5 – 10 minutes: I was advised to wait in my car and the guard would come out and tell me when it was ready.
It was sort of interesting to watch; the security here rivals a military installation. The grounds are bordered by a barbed wire fence. There was one guard at the gate while another two were seen patrolling the lawn and stopping and inspecting trucks going in and out. When my package was brought to the front gate, I had to show ID and enter through a metal detector to fetch it.
After leaving, I wondered if we should be placing FedEx in charge of Homeland Security…
