I grew up going to Herfy’s. At that time it was the social hang out. NOTANYMORE. Recently I decided to go and order some fish and chips. I was never more disappointed. There is a time and place for oil… and on my pants ISNOT one of them. The food was soaked in oil and oozed out of the fish and then of course on my pants. The fries were cold and the gal at the window was very dissociated with her job. I would not recommend the fast food joint to anyone.

I used to love this place… until…I ordered the mozzarella sticks. As I left the drive thru I took a bite of one and it was still cold in the middle… I then took a bite on a second one thinking maybe it was just that one… but it wasn’t. So I took them back and about 4 minutes later was handed another bag. I pulled forward, stopped and looked in the bag. In my bag was the order I sent back, he just put the original order back in the fryer, INCLUDINGTHEONES I HADBITINTO. Then to top it off the cook got all pissed off and argued with me… anyway…I’m done with that place… Have fun Herpy’s …you won’t last long doing that crap… CIAO

Love this place. The kids that work there are always so nice and helpful. The lady that owns this place is so nice. I think it’s the owner, the cook anyways. The burgers are killer and their milkshakes. Damn. Banana Oreo is my favorite. Fried prawns and the fish and chips are awesome too. The cost is a little high, but it’s not like you don’t get a kick ass meal that is a great portion. Not some lame size. So I’m not worried about it. It’s maybe a buck or two more than what you would pay for a meal at McDonald’s or wherever, so not to much higher. Besides, it’s like, a thousand times better.

Love the food and milkshakes but the seating sucks. Looks like they are trying to clean up the place but kept the same old uncomfortable chairs that are attached(not friendly for bigger people). Service is slow, one person runs the front counter and drive through. This place could be better if they got some decent seating and quicker service because the food is delicious.

Great food and prices! Their menu is bigger than you’d think too. Also the place is really clean and the staff is really nice.

I enjoy going to this Herfys! The cook here is very friendly, and makes you feel welcome. Coming to this Herfys is like walking into a 1970’s hamburger diner! They make A tasty hamburger and basket of fries for a good price. They also have a drive through that is convenient. The only downside is the inside seating area is a little greasy, but it just adds to the 1970’s atmosphere, so nobody really cares. But even with that said, it is still clean.

I love herfys. The only times that I have been to this location though is through the drive thru. Took way to long. It’s a good thing I put gas in the car before I went there because I waited so long. However the food was great.

I love going to this place. Everytime I’m craving for a burger, I go to Herfy’s, because its close to school and after all, they have good burgers. Favorites are the Jalapeño and the cali burger. YUMM

This is an odd chain as not all of their stores make the food the same. This store has the BEST hamburger in the world! I love the Big Cheese. However, when we have tried the one in Tukwila as well as the one on Lee Hill in Auburn, it is no where close to being the same. Be prepared for outdated 70s style décor.

Sometimes I like to stop and pick up a ½ pound burger, Halibut Burger and sometimes Mushrooms or a Milkshake. Food is pretty good and it fills you up. Sometimes the Halibut is awesome, sometimes just meh. But the prices are okay and the food is okay, so solid three stars.

A bit on the greasy side; but, if you’re not worried about your weight, it’s pretty good stuff. I love the deep fried mushrooms and oysters. This is the better of the Herfy locations in my opinion, although at times they can be a bit too salty. I had to throw half of my order away once. Still, a good thing!(I also don’t like the tip cup that the put at the drive up window. It feels a bit unnecessary, «in your face», and awkward for the customer. Could they just give the girls a bit more money in each of the paychecks, I wonder?

Don’t let the cover of the book fool you! Basing my review merely on the food this place is awesome! Best burgers around and they have those awesome thick crinkle cut fries and awesome«secret sauce.» I hear the milkshakes are awesome as well. I have gone here once in a blue moon throughout the years and never had a bad experience!

Typical icky fast food joint. The place smells dirty and the chairs are held together with duct tape(literally). I’m guessing they cook everything in the same fryer because the fries taste like fish. Also the milkshakes are mediocre.

Herfy’s in auburn is kind of a neat throwback to the 70’s the building and décor are dated, but kind of fun in a retro way. Countless fried fish and appetizers line the menu, however what I came for were the burgers. Not bad, they appear to use a griddle to cook ¼lb burgers, not sure if frozen or fresh but they were ok, maybe a little thin. The sauce and lettuce mixed nicely together in a messy clump on the bun, which is definitely ok with me. Fries are the kind you get as a kid in the school cafeteria the krinkle cut kind. I am sure some people love these, but if you are trying to be an adult burger place and I believe this place caters to people trying to find the type of burger you can’t and McDonalds, then get some real frys. There are better burgers in Auburn to be had, however there wasn’t anything wrong with these. I recommend though if you have a craving for an awesome burger that you try something else. If you are nearby and just need a burger, why not. EDIT: It looks like they switched something, these burgers now taste like cardboard. LOOKELSEWHEREYOUNGONESFORBURGERHAPPINESS.
