I have always had good service there. Good food. Food has come out on time. Service started slow at first but they got better. The staff are friendly. I always get a smile there.

I have had some very good experiences at the Jasmine Café. I love their weekday lunch specials. I love their Spicy Crispy Duck. And I think their sushi is very good as well. The servers are very polite, attentive and personable.

Jasmine is my absolute favorite place to eat. They have the very best Pad Thai around. The service is always good. I don’t eat sushi so that cannot comment on that but everything else I have tried is fantastic. The only bad comment I have is that their alcoholic beverages are not very good.

Last Wednesday there was a sushi tasting night. The place was incredibly packed but it was worth it. There were at least a 40 to 50 different kinds of sushi did you could try, and other delicious food that came with it. We just ate too much because everything was too delicious will be back next time.

I go here for sushi. There aren’t too many places in the area with quality sushi, but this is my go-to spot. Never eaten in, but it’s a clean environment with friend staff. Nicely decorated, too. Spring rolls are little but that’s how I prefer them anyway. Conclusion: Good sushi, fair prices!

So many of my friends raved about this place, being the new«trendy» place in Auburn. When my family went there the first time, we stood in front for 10 minutes without any of the staff acknowledging us. Then I went again with a friend and I did get seated, but our service was slow and unfriendly. The sushi I got wasn’t fantastic, and they drowned it in this really thick mayo sauce, which made the sushi unpleasant to eat, just because of how much they put on top.

Terrible service. Waited over an hour for one roll of sushi that was warm. I don’t plan on coming again. Jasmine’s food is decent, but the sushi is sub-par aside from the spicy tuna. There’s much better Asian food in Maine to pick from! I suggest doing so.

I truly Love Jasmine. I have been there so many times and every time it has been so enjoyable. The service is great and it is nice and clean. The food taste wonderful especially the Maki. My husband and I love the lunch specials and the price is right. Love the Thai Tea, also… This is by far my favorite Thai restaurant !!!

I am a huge fan of this place! I think they have excellent customer service and are willing to go above and beyond to make sure the customer has a positive experience. I tend to go for the sushi because it always taste fresh here and I can watch them make it. I have tried other local Thai restaurants and this by far is my favorite!

Almost every review describes our exact experience at jasmine café. The food was bland and tasteless, we went for lunch and were the only customers in the restaurant and somehow the service was still terrible. Both waitresses working sat at the bar eating, we had to approach them for chopsticks etc. We have not returned since, if you are looking for Thai cuisine in the Lewiston/Auburn area I would suggest Thai dish or Pepper and Spice.

I came in with my folks the night before Thanksgiving, so the place was understandably dead. Maybe 5 or 6 more people came in as the evening progressed. The hostess was also our server and was very charming and attentive. I ordered for an app the sushi combo which contained 5 pieces of nigiri; Salmon, tuna, squid, snapper and shrimp. The fish was perfectly fine, but the sushi chef added so much sugar to the sushi rice that the sweetness overpowered the delicate nature of the fish. I also ordered the sriracha noodles with duck. The broad noodles were very spicy and quite tasty, but the duck portion was small and relatively dry. My mom thought her crispy pad thai was a bit disappointing but my dad enjoyed his orange chicken. Overall, the food isn’t the worst I’ve ever had, but the place needs a great deal of work.

After being seated, we waited 30 minutes without having a server greet us. One of our 4-person party approached the hostess to ask if someone could take a drink order. By the time our waiter came to the table we were ready to order our drinks, appetizer and meals at once. We ordered the 4-person scorpion bowl, which was not made correctly and was offensively small. That drink is nothing short of a rip off at $ 25. The food was good but nothing to rave about. When we originally ordered the alcohol filled scorpion bowl, our waiter did not ask for ID. During dinner, one person in our party ordered a beer and the waiter asked for ID. That does not make very much sense to me. I am normally very patient about bad service, but Jasmine Café was absolutely terrible.

I’m always hesitant about restaurant recommendations from non-vegetarians. It’s not that I don’t trust them, it’s that generally omnivores aren’t very mindful of the restrictiveness of a veggie’s diet. But, a co-worker recently suggested that I check out«Jasmine Café» a new Asian-fusion restaurant in town; and, always on the look-out for good teriyaki, I thought I’d check it out. I hate to say that I was already disappointed before I even walked through the doors, but I was — the restaurant is located in a strip mall. Maybe I’m just overly judgmental, but that immediately put my guard up(strip mall food never tends to be impressive, in my opinion). We entered the restaurant and stood awkwardly at the hostess station for a good five to seven minutes waiting to be seated while waiters, cooks, bartenders, and even the patrons stared at us with annoyance. Finally, someone brought us to a table where we were seated among the neon pink and green décor, Whitney Houston and Celine Dion playing faintly in the background while HGTV’s «House Hunter’s International» played on the flat screen TVs. It was a very weird dynamic for an «Asian-fusion café.» My friend and I both ordered Thai iced teas, and when they arrived, there was — what looked like — a giant piece of seaweed at the bottom of her glass. She pulled it up with her straw so that it was sitting on the top of her drink. We called the waiter over to ask him what it was. «Oh, it’s just a vanilla bean they forgot to strain,» he said WHILEHEPICKEDTHEOBJECTOUTOFMYFRIEND’S DRINK. «Do you want another?» She hesitated, and not wanting to be troublesome, said no. «He put his dirty fingers IN your drink,» I said. She shrugged and we waited for the waiter to come back with our food. Our meals were okay. My friend, a culinary artist, mentioned that her Ok Dol Bi Bim Bop was lovely, but the egg was overcooked(she was also moderately offended that the owner came out and asked her if she knew how to properly eat Ok Dol Bi Bim Bop). My teriyaki tofu was nothing special — the tofu was a little slimy, and the teriyaki sauce was sticky and bland. Despite the fact that the restaurant was very clean and the staff was(overly?) friendly(once they found out I was a food blogger, they offered us desserts on the house which we graciously passed on), the food was as unimpressive as I was expecting and far, far, far overpriced for the quality and portion-size. Unfortunately, you will not find me dining here again, or recommending it to any of my veg-friendly friends. P. S. In case you didn’t know, sticking your fingers in someone’s drink is a big no-no.

Not good — and I had so many expectations… all dashed! We started out with the Summer Rolls — one of my staples for any Asian restaurant that serves them. They were bland. Not good. Boring. Kinda icky in a mushy sort of way. For an entrée, I got veggie Pad Thai — more of the same — bland, boring. And the service? Horrible! We sat and waited for almost 20 minutes just to give a drink order. We asked for chopsticks, waited 10 minutes and when the server didn’t come back with them, I went up to the cashier area and grabbed them myself. I would not come here again. Period.

Jasmine Café is a really good Asian Fusion restaurant. I hesitated on the star rating — 4.5 would be more accurate, but I feel like it’s closer to 5 than to 4. The menu is fairly typical Asian fusion — a variety of Thai, Japanese, and Korean dishes. It is owned by the same folks as Thai Jarearn in Lewiston, and has a broadly similar menu, but a much more upscale location and presentation. We’ve been several times since they opened. It’s undoubtedly the nicest-looking Thai place I’ve been to in Maine(so many are run-down), making it a great place to invite others to. Service is consistently friendly and unusually good for this kind of restaurant. The food is key, of course. Overall, it’s excellent. Nearly everything we’ve tried has been great. Favorites include the pad thai(great balance of sweet and spicy), green curry fried rice(aromatic, spicy, and loaded with vegetables), and volcano chicken. One great thing is that they’re very flexible with the levels of spiciness and are willing to accommodate various tastes — my mother likes to order pad thai between their regular and their spicy versions, for example, and they’re happy to oblige. Next time I go I’m planning to try the Ok Dol Bi Bam Bab, which looks and smells fantastic. Not everything is perfect — the beef teriyaki was very bland, for example, and the Pad See Ew(inexplicably written as Pad C-U on their menu) was only«okay». Overall, though, this is definitely my favorite Thai place in the area. The food is great, but the clean, nicely decorated premises and good service kick it a notch above the rest.

Fairly new to the Auburn area this little spot in right next to the movies. The soft shell crab was ok which was a bit disappointing since I usually love it. The Summer Rolls with Shrimp had a crunchy crispness to it. We ordered the Crispy Pad Thai and was very disappointed. It was very very salty and the noodles were not like the typical pan friend noodles. I wouldn’t get this again. However, everything else was really yummy… maybe it was just that dish. Drunken Noodle was really good. Hot but good overall flavor. The Bim Bab had a good array of veggies. I have always liked the cold one rather than the hot pot. The hot comes out too hot and I can’t eat it and am the last one still picking at it. Their hot pepper key is pretty accurate. If you like it hot you won’t be disappointed. If you like it mild then stick to one pepper. Sometimes it is good to cry and get the sniffles.
