Niffer’s has great food and booze if you’re looking for a place to get both. Only problem is that the larger seating area tends to get filled with little kids running around and lots of crying. So be sure to have them seat you on the left side of the restaurant closest to the bar. Burgers are what they’re know for, I’ve had most of them and you really can’t choose a bad one. Parking tends to be an issue, but if there’s not a space you can park behind the fence and walk through.

How many stars can I give for nostalgia? I returned to Differ’s with some old college friends after at least a 5 year absence to answer that exact question. I used to come here fairly regularly as a student at Auburn. I’ve always loved the way Niffer’s captures the spirit of the university community without marketing or structuring its business to cater exclusively to the university students. So what did I learn in my visit? It’s not just nostalgia, it’s good! They have an extensive menu featuring great American bar food, and it’s constantly changing! They have a lot of unique burger creations on the menu, and always have burger specials off the menu. Plus, Mexicali sauce! I had forgotten! How could I forget Mexicali sauce? Amazing stuff. Can’t wait to go back.

Came tonight while on a road trip with my family and it turned out to be kids night! The waiter was on point, the manager came by and we enjoyed our conversation with him for a bit and then the most amazing Balloon Animal Artist, Dr. Magical Balloons aka DeWayne Reynolds, came by our table and made the best one we have ever seen! This place was great and very family oriented.

This is an Auburn institution. I love this place. The food is good. But it’s not going to blow your mind away. It’s more about the service and the atmosphere and the people. This place is locally owned. The owners love auburn and auburn loves them back. Be prepared for a wait on Most nights. But it’s worth it!

Overhyped local place. Good only if you like burgers or salads. Homemade chips and corn nuggets are good too, if you get roped into coming. Nice people though!

Amazing burgers! From out of town and always try to stop in when we visit auburn. Burgers are great and good local beer selection. Decent atmosphere. Basically a local area chills feel.

Terrible. The past 2 times I have gone my order has been wrong.. .and the time before that my husband and I went with a group of 5 people and his food came out so late that everyone else was finished eating. I have been going here for years but lately it has completely sucked. Burger fi is way better.

The staff was really friendly and atmosphere pretty cool I ate the BBQ Bacon Burger with an added fried onion ring. Also had the corn nuggets. Nuggets and honesty mustard were very good, the burger was tasty as well. I’d give the place 3 ½ if I could. Overall a fun place to eat with some good burgers.

This place had excellent food. My wife and I had burgers. My son had pasta they made it to order as it wasn’t on the menu. It was Wednesday so kids eat free. The waiter was awesome. Everyone enjoyed the food. Atmosphere was awesome. If your looking for something original rather than a big chain stop here.

The Niffer’s BLT is one of my favorites! A lot of variety for a unique hamburger. We’ve always had good service in both the Auburn and Dadeville locations.

I am not from the Auburn area. I was here with a friend grabbing a quick dinner. Service was atrocious. Totally empty restaurant minus a handful of tables at 5PM on Sunday afternoon. Took us 40 minutes to get to mediocre burgers.

This might be a nostalgic five star review, but it is also that good. I have been coming to Niffer’s for as long as I have been coming to Auburn on my own. As a kid, we honestly never really ate in Auburn. But the first game weekend I went on my own, this was the first place I went. And it will always be near and dear to my heart. When I first arrived at Niffer’s, they were«Home of the $ 1 Beers». I won’t say how younger me got to experience those. But as the years passed, they became the $ 1.25 beers then $ 1.50 beers and eventually just became a place to get a cold reasonable priced beer. They also used to have giant fishbowls that were good enough to get a six pack of friends well on their way to a great evening. But as everything else in the world, things change. But what hasn’t changed is their menu. Since I am typically not there on the weekdays, the daily specials are not an option anymore. But they have a wing night, burger night, pasta night, and something every night of the week. Great place to get good food in good quantities at a good price… perfect for college students. If there is something you have to get, it is the corn nuggets. JUSTDOIT! That is one of those things I will wake up in the middle of the night, having not been to Auburn in months, and immediately crave. If someone mentions them, I go into instant withdrawls. The pastas are great. The burgers are fantastic. The chicken sandwiches are also on their game. And the wings are some of my favorite. They are not wimpy over-cooked wings. They are plump and huge. And I ALWAYS go with the Chicago Sauce. That goes for everything(except pasta) Get it on the burger, sandwich, and definitely the wings. This is an Auburn staple and a must go if you are in town. If you are looking for that«special college place» that is unique to Auburn, this is it. If you go on a game night though, be prepared to wait. But it is worth it.

So, it was a Sunday afternoon and I was craving a burger. Hotel I’m staying at recommended Niffers. Which I thought the Hotel Mgr said Sniffers… I was like what, Sniff what? . I digress, this place reminded me of that TV show Happy Days. It’s like a TGI Fridays you see on the East Coast. Walls are crammed with«stuff» etc. I had a mushroom swiss burger, onion rings and nachos(Don’t judge I was hungry. I drove 5 hours from New Orleans… ooo that smell on Bourbon St, ew!) 1) Burger… meat was good, bun was fresh. Woulda been better if they used portabellas. But I’ve had better burgers. 2) Onion rings… frozen pre-made average onion rings you have at every burgers joint around the country. 3) Nachos… horrible, I think they used Gov’ment cheese… nasty, no flavor. In Auburn for work… will not return. But its cheap, so if you’re on a budget. You can get a lot for your dollar. Good Luck, –T

Family Style«burger joint» in a college town. Service is attentive. Servers obviously have a routine down solid. Good variety of Burger choices, I had the Philly and she had the Nacho. Not spectacular, but tasty. Not real impressed with the chips or Cajun fries as sides though. All-in-all, I’ll be back.

Ok. Had better & worse, much worse, but nothing that sings out«come back». Service was good, drinks average with average choices. Burger was. .. average. Fries not my favorite. Nothing to write home about and nothing to dislike.

2nd visit Again essentially no wait to be seated in choice of areas. Order taken promptly and food arrived quickly. This time I tried the«Gus Bus» burger(Bacon Cheeseburger on Pretzel bun). Burger prepared as ordered(Medium) and not greasy. Pretzel bun was good but not worth the up charge for other burgers(included on «Gus Bus» at same price). I forgot about the«Cajun» fries, still disappointed not more to them than adding some seasonings to regular steak fries. At least this time appeared to cover most of them. Will likely return and try something other than a burger and no Cajun fries.

I’m a Dawg through and through, but I married an Auburn grad so I end up down this way every now and then. And as tacky as all the Blue and Orange is, I always enjoy eating here. 3 stars really for the food… burgers are good, but aren’t cooked to order so no rare meat here. Get the fried corn, freakin delicious. Play area for kids wins bonus points. All in all a decent«auburny» place to go.
