For the most part it is a nice safeway, but they need to fix their seafood, shellfish is usually not so fresh, open clams and mussels; my oysters didn’t open :(

This place has grown into more then a grocery store!
I shopped here years ago before moving and now I am back I find it has evolved into a store plus for a busy guy like me. The pharmacy staff asked me if they could take care of my prescription transfer and all they needed was the phone # of my old place and my insurance card! I have some health issues and a long list of maintenance drugs to take. They also worked with my Dr. and insurance company to make some changes to other brands and options and are saving me almost $ 90.00 a month!
The Meat dept. has an awesome selection and the in store restaurant, coffee shop and bank are handy. (I would have given them 5 stars if I did not hate shopping so much)

This is my go-​to Safeway. They have everything I need here. I love their wide array of gift cards. Lots of organic foods. Great customer service.

Service was poor. Employees standing in the way of the dairy fridge talking or rather complaining about another employee. Checking out I dropped a bag next ton2 employees feet neither attempted to help. Only one person even made contact. So sad. I would have thought more for 10 am on a sat.

I hate writing a negative review for this store but the one star is for their bakery. My complaint is for this new weird policy they have of not being willing to bake a chocolate cake with white frosting unless it’s special ordered. Special Ordered. I really didn’t know baking a chocolate cake was such an unusual thing for a bakery. I was just trying to get a co worker’s favorite type of B’day cake without buying a massive sheet cake. Not a huge world problem but WTH Safeway. I’ve been shopping at this location since they opened and this new policy is stupid. Sometimes you just don’t want white cake, lol.

I come here for everything grocery. My girlfriend doesn’t think they have the deals we need all the time, but I just love coming here to support them. I overheard on the news that Albertsons is buying out some of the Safeway stores and I hope that doesn’t hinder this location.

Typical Safeway — recently remodeled (but they really don’t do any big changes in these remodels…). They do have a gas station but it takes up a ¼ of their parking. Rarely stop here, much better Safeways around…

Puyallup, WA
I came here to order flowers for my Sunday wedding, since there are no other florists open on Sundays and I didn’t want to pick the flowers up early.
When we got there, there were banners advertising wedding flowers. However, after waiting in the floral department for 15 minutes with nobody around, I finally had to go the customer service counter to ask for help. Someone was paged, and she came out to speak with us. She was extremely rude, and asked me to come back in a few days when the floral department manager was there. I explained to her that I work during the day, and that I drove there from Puyallup to order my flowers, but she would not take my order. She then said she was quitting soon, so she didn’t want to take my order. Literally, she said she «DIDN’T WANT to take my order.» I was SO upset, I left… I really should have spoken to the store manager, but I was extremely angry.
Needless to say, Safeway lost my business…

I’m tried of them being down to 1 Checker at night, and using self service. Safeway is expensive. I don’t feel like using self service. when I come, your supposed to ring me up. Plus I didn’t the Manager’s response to me pointing that out. also most of the evening worker are like boring drones.
It’s ok during the day but not at night.

Just another Safeway. Nothing really stands out about this location, either positively or negatively. I get the feeling this Safeway just sort of exists. I don’t have a problem with that per se, but I’d like to see a little more to make this place stand out. I have noticed however, that the lines for the gas station are almost non existent, so if you’re looking for a quick fill up, steer your car over here.

A little disappointed with the management there lately. Went there on a weekday about 7 PM, only 1 checker and an 1 express lane open, lines deep at each. Manager was paged, showed up about 5 minutes too late. Bad customer service. Left a message with manager, never was returned.

This is my idea of a perfect Safeway. It’s easy to get to, near other things I may want to visit (a bar, other shopping, etc), they have all the modern store amenities (a bakery, deli, chinese food) and they have a range of food, brands and quality selection.
They have a gas station on site which is great for the 10 cent discounts you get when you spend more than $ 50.

This Safeway was alright. Their organic selection of fruits/​veggies was smaller than the Safeway’s I’ve been to. They also did not have as many soy/​tofu products available.
Other than that, clean store, helpful employees, good Safeway :)

This store is in an easily-​accesible location, off Auburn Way S. and with a protected left turn at a light to 1st. It has a gas station with prices that are consistently a few cents lower than neighboring stations. They have an on-​site bakery that is pretty good, a deli, and meat cutters that do a good job. Also a variety of seafood, although most of that is on ice. Their selection of organic vegetables is small but has been growing (no pun intended) of late. The staff has always been helpful and friendly to me (I have been shopping here for 8 years). Not the worst place you could choose to shop.

For sure the best large grocery store in Auburn, being here since the 1930’s probably the oldest around. Great Staff, cheap sales all the time, clean and very nice modern store located downtown-​ish so it’s easy to access. Nice deli, Starbucks, not alot of those old crazy people that use to rummage around downtown, I like it!
