Nice welcome when walking in the door. Lots of dishes to choose from. Offered hot tea that was very good. Ordered the spicy teriyaki chicken very tender and the spice was just right. Yum.

I moved out of state to place that doesn’t have teriyaki so I am always craving it when I come home for a visit. We tried Soo Teriyaki based upon the reviews and we were not disappointed. Their beef teriyaki has amazing flavor and tastes like they marinate the meat. My kids, who can be picky, started eating off of my plate because they liked it so much. The waitstaff was pleasant and I would defiantly come back

Great food!!! Friendly service! Beef short ribs are the best in Auburn. Gyoza is perfectly cooked. The truth is I have never ordered anything I didn’t like.

For a small little strip mall joint this place was pretty good, with a really nice wait staff; we ate fried rice(I wasn’t a fan of the small bay shrimp, but other than that it was really good). If I’m in the area I’d go back…

I’m torn between 4 – 5 stars. It’s hard because my expectations are fairly high for many places and especially with a 5 star on Unilocal I was expecting exceeding my expectations. If I can give a 4.5, I would. The food is good value and staff is friendly. It wasn’t crowded or anything, there was only another couple there: there are less than 5 tables there; seems like people order this for take out often. If I were to order take it, I would consider this place! Siting in the restaurant, appears clean and simple. Free cups for water. The chicken Katsu was delicious, tasty with extra sauce on the side. It was perfect with the rice and felt like it was al I needed. I did feel satisfied after eating as late afternoon dinner snack. The only reason this didn’t exceed my expectation is there was waiting time before ordering when there weren’t many customers. And overall is awesome but did not make my crazy awesome 5 star.

This place is super tasty and the family who runs it are friendly. The portions are huge. One plate can probably feed two people. My only complaint is if you substitute white rice with brown rice, they charge a $ 1.50 up charge. That’s seems a bit high to me.

After seeing the rating for this place, I had to try. And oh my, this place definitely deserves the rating they have. I ordered the spicy chicken teriyaki and the chicken katsu. I think this place might have the best spicy chicken I’ve ever had. Usually, I need to add some sriracha to give it more kick and flavor, but not so with this place’s offering. It’s actually made Korean style, which is quite nice. I instantly recognized some of the ingredients, to my surprise, and really enjoyed it. The katsu was great! Crispy, and tender at the same time. Now, what puts this place over top is the portion. My, they are generous. I eat a lot. I’ve surprised my friends and even myself with how much I can eat. But this place, filled me up! With just one order! Even when other people saw me eating, they were surprised with the portion. I’m telling you, this is the go to for teriyaki in this area. And I will going here and only here in auburn. And when I get teriyaki anywhere else, I’ll be thinking of you, Soo Teriyaki House.

This place has recently changed ownership, but the food is still basically the same(from what I have ordered). It seems Zechariah sold it due to health problems, but I’m not sure if it was him or his wife. The new owners seem pleasant enough, and although some of the prices have risen, a few items are actually cheaper now while others were eliminated. There is one major improvement, a professionally done overhead menu instead of handwriting on a dry erase board. I’ll keep going back as long as they don’t get greedy or start cutting corners.

Was really disappointed. After reading such amazing reviews I expected ½ decent food. It was ok but definitely not 5 star food quality. I even asked what was good and they said everything is super good. I would give my dish Teriyaki beef and chicken 3 stars. But my wife couldn’t even eat her orange chicken 1 star. 2 star average.

It’s very tasty Teriyaki, reliable, quick, and at a great price. What more to say?! I’ve tried the Teriyaki chicken, spicy chicken, and Teriyaki beef — all were good cuts of meat(little/no grissle) and prepared with tasty flavor. Quite a healthy portion, and not over-sauced. My go-to place for Teriyaki in Auburn!

Just moved here and just found this place. Soooooooooo yummy. I would recommend it to anyone. Staff is nice. You get a lot of food. And it’s cooked to order. Only con I would say is the price but then again I feel like I got my money’s worth in amount and taste.

We went in tonight, 3/8…and when we asked for our sauce we like to eat with our meal she said they didn’t have anymore as they have new owners! I kinda panicked but figured they deserved the benefit of the doubt and took my boxes and left. The teriyaki chicken was pretty close BUT the Kung pao chicken was awful this makes me very sad because we have eaten there weekly for quite sometime. Figured I’d post this for a heads up to others.

This place wont win any awards for décor but this is a great teriyaki place. I will definitely go back. Probably the nicest owner you will ever meet and a hard working family! They gave fast and great service and a great value for the price. You wont be disappointed.

I don’t normally write reviews for teriyaki joint. But this place is superb! I phoned in my togo order for a chicken yakisoba. 10 minutes later, I came in to pay, there I met the owner, he was very welcoming and the food was already there waiting for me! My only concern was the price. It states $ 7.49 for yakisoba w/chicken. And my bill came out to be $ 9.30! That’s like a 24% sales tax. Oh whatever, the food was steaming hot with lots of chicken. A meal good enough for two people!

We were in the outlet collection and we were searching something good to eat on Unilocal when we came across with this restaurant. From the outside it doesn’t look nice at all because of where it is located but we had a great surprise as the food is very good and the portions pretty generous. and not expensive at all. We ordered tempura, chicken katsu and tofu yakisoba and everything was delicious!!! And the best of all was the service we received… the owner is soo soo cute!!! Excellent service and excellent food, totally recommend it

The reviews did not lie! I called my order in, and the staff member was super nice. I was able to create a Mongolian beef and chicken katsu combo(not an option on the menu) for my boyfriend. I ordered a beef teriyaki and chicken katsu for myself. When I picked up my order, I lightly tapped the bell at the front and a nice gentleman came out, rang me up, and I was out the door! It’s literally behind the Mc Donald’s, with parking right outside. I got home and opened up my goodies! The chicken katsu seriously looks the best from any other chicken Katsu I have had. It was fried perfectly, and when I bit into it, the chicken was moist, not oily and the breading was crispy. My boyfriend also enjoyed his meal. He loved the flavors in his Mongolian beef. The katsu to him was good, not his best though. Overall he liked his meal. I would definitely come back for the katsu when I’m in the area. I would also like to try the other offerings on their menu.

Number 1 teriyaki spot in Auburn. Spicy chicken is cooked to perfection. Katsu is perfectly breaded and juicy. I’ve also had the yakisoba noodles which are standard. I love the dressing he uses in the salads its on of the main reasons I choose this spot over the other ones in town.
