This is one of the two BKs on base. It’s co-located with an AAFES shoppette and an AAFES barber shop. It’s significantly smaller due to the available space, but there are still plenty of tables squeezed in there to accommodate a small crowd. The location is great for those of us who work over in this area of the base and don’t want to drive half way across the earth to get a Whopper. If you go around lunch time, you’re likely to encounter a bunch of students getting food or using the shoppette(which has it’s entrance off of the dining room), but it’s WAY less busy than the main post BK during lunch hours. I’ve seen soldiers get two promotions while waiting in line at the main BK. The food is what you’d expect at BK. Usual fare, tastes the same as every other BK ever. I will say that I’ve never had a BAD food experience here. The food is prepared like it should be, unlike other places where your slice of cheese is half off the burger and melted onto the wrapper(forcing me to act like a starving 3rd-world refugee, eating melty cheese off the wrapper because, man, you cant let melty cheese go to waste). The big draw here is the personnel. They are all very friendly, helpful, and attentive. I’ve always had excellent customer service when I eat here. I bet it’s a battle royale for employee of the month at this place. The only complaint I would have would be the upsell that they always try to pull. When you order a combo meal, the default(according to the menu) is a small sized fries and drink. But, when they plug it in to the register, they automatically ring you up as medium. Sure, it’s a meager 40 cents, but man, it’s the principal. Every single person who orders a combo ends up getting upcharged for a medium without asking. It borders on suspect business practice, y’know? I would lower them to 4 stars for this, except other reviewer on here gave them ONESTAR because he doesn’t like how their pop tastes. Seems a bit of an extreme reaction to me, so to kinda balance that out, I’m sticking with 5 stars. Just be sure to specify you want the small fries/drink when you order a combo if that’s what you’re looking for, or else you’re gunna be tricked out of 40 cents.

For the past year, every time I’ve gone I there their fountain drink station has tasted awful. I’ve brought it to the attention to the various managers there, and nothing has been done about. I’ve also written an ICE comment about the same thing… still nothing. Anytime I have HAD to go there to get something to eat before I go to work I go to the shoppette next door instead of get a drink from here
