Celebrations should be special and in our experience celebrating here is worth celebrating. The food is awesome and the service is better. Kyndall is our waitress. She is nice and attentive but not overbearing. Today is special because it’s my daughter’s 24th birthday. It’s even more special because we’re celebrating it at Crum’s on Central.

Been to crums over 5 times and never had anything but great service, perfectly cooked food, and a great atmosphere to enjoy it in. Andrew does a great job taking care of his customers and going the extra mile . Staff is professional and knowledgable about products. They have my business as long as I m in Augusta !

Good quality food!!! I love the atmosphere. This was my second visit and I promise it will not be my last. Staff was super friendly, even got to meet the owner Andrew. You can tell he cares about pleasing his customers., Everything I have had ordered has been amazing. So far my favorite and most unique dish is the Grit Fries. Yummy!

Dirty. Coffee served in a cracked coffee cup. Disgustingly dirty ketchup bottles, served us a poached egg that was raw(raw egg whites!) and when we complained(no we didn’t want another) didn’t even take it off the bill. Had to ask. Yuck. This restaurant has seen better days.

Excellent!!! We ordered every appetizer on the menu to share and all of them were great. I was especially impressed with the grit fries, very inventive! For my main course I had the jalapeño stuffed quail breast wrapped in bacon on top of pepper cheese grits… AMAZING!

The Crum Toast is awesome!!! I have eaten here twice and both time the toast was great! Thanks to my fiancé I had an opportunity to eat fried portabella mushrooms adn those were also good. This place makes my list of places to go while in CSRA!

This is a regular spot for us in Augusta. Probably one of the top 10 best here. We like it cause we can walk there from our house in summerville. They recently did some renovations and updated their menu. I had the pork pasta which was very good. I thought the pork was going to be a little more tangy but I still enjoyed it. This is a great place for a date night and we will definitely be going back

Delightful! The food was delectable and the service was attentive but unobtrusive. Truly enjoyed the Trout over Yukon Gold potatoes with roasted arugula. The asparagus on top was very fresh and crisp. Next to the trout were lightly breaded fried oysters. An excellent dish.

A short distance from our new house is this restaurant with an inviting small front porch and tables. So being close and convenient we have stopped in a few times. First to review some positives. As I said the porch is quant and comfortable, not exactly beautiful but nice. There are covered tables and some patio tables with umbrellas, the pictures on Unilocal are representative of the feel. Appetizers– There is a small but good selection of small plates on their brunch, and dinner menus. They stick to the standard Southern bistro derivations seem around Augusta, but serval are good. Service is friendly, and welcoming. Though it follows the relaxed a slow style of most CSRA establishments. You go out for an experience and to relax with good company, don’t show up hungry or in a hurry. The less than desirable aspects are unfortunate as this is close to home. The inside is dark and more of a dressed catering hall with a bar than a unique space with character. The entrees have been both inconsistent among the good ones, and some are just poorly executed and then coated with a heavy sauce. In general go with the carnivore in you, and always opt for a pork/slow cooked meat or BBQ. Their fried items are alright, but really you get that every where in GA… so if your dipping into the fryer menu then it better be good. If any revelations arise I’ll update this, but unless if hungry and in a pinch this prob won’t be our destination choice.

For starters the place is a little hard to find, but the search is well worth it. The restaurant has recently experienced a makeover, which really brightens up the place and makes the place much more inviting than before. The menu is unchanged, which is perfectly fine because the menu before was DELICIOUS!!! The CRUMMYFRIES are definitely the way you want to start the meal. Just picture a plate of fries with cheese and bacon… need I say more? For lunch, THECRUM or the FRIEDCATFISHSANDWICH are solid choices. Make sure to get the fried egg with the Crum, it’s totally worth it! Finish the meal off with a delicious PEACHCOBBLER. This place is a great place to get a nice lunch in Augusta. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to get dinner here yet, but the lunch is delicious. If your on the fence about trying this place, GOTRYIT… you’ll thank me later.

I recently went to Crums with a group for dinner. I really wanted this place to be good since it is within walking distance of our new place in town. We arrived around 8:30pm on a Friday evening and the place was about half full. I was with a group of 11 people and the waitress seemed overwhelmed while trying to deal with everyone. Everything took a very long time. The waitress was frequently missing, despite the emptiness of the restaurant. By the time we ordered and actually received our food, it was 9:45pm. The pizza was about the worst I have had in years. Very small portions for the price, mediocre ingredients, the pizza crust was completely covered in corn meal, and every pizza was burnt. It seemed that they wanted everything to come out on time and as a result the pizza must of sat under a red light for several minutes. Within the group, 8 people had pizza and 3 had fish or chicken. I was amazed at how deplorable the fish and chicken dishes looked. Again, everything was overcooked and the portions were meager. I did not taste those dishes, but everyone in the group was not impressed. The waitress did ask how the food tasted, and to her credit, brought free desserts when she learned that everyone thought their pizza tasted like charred cardboard. But, to be honest I would rather have just had the check then to have to look at the custard-like dessert with canned fruit that she brought. Overall, this place was a disaster. I still can’t believe the restaurant was even half full. I, along with everyone in the group, just moved to Augusta and I can pretty much guarantee that we will not be returning. Maybe we came too late… maybe the group was too large… maybe we should have avoided pizza. whatever the reason, I don’t think this place deserves more business for the disappointing food that they produce.

I went to Crums for the first time in May after my brothers graduation. This place was one of the few open for brunch downtown and my mom had seen a review in the Metro so we decided to check it out. I enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant and the outdoor patio was so cute. I had the French toast and my sister had the chicken salad sandwich. All of the food was delicious! Not one of our party of 16 had anything to complain about. The server was a little slow with refilling drinks but other than that, I have no complaints. I’ll definitely be back again!

Great food… when they’re open. We spent a New Year’s Eve here one year, and it was perfect. I’d have given it six stars. Small jazz band, great drinks, fast service, champagne, best NYE I’ve had in Augusta. But their lunch menu is severely lacking; they have like five options and recently a group of four all ordered the same thing, as if there’s one stand-out dish and then filler. Their brunch and dinner menu is better, but they don’t have set night hours(4:30 to until), last night we called a little after 8:00 and noone answered the phone.

Had a great meal here for brunch w/a good friend. We were there before the place was opened. They let us in early and took our drink order(Spicy Bloody Mary for me & Mimosa for him). Both were good. I had the pulled pork omelet. Was good. Added the Jalapenos for a bit of spice. because we were early, the hashbrowns took a little longer to get. They were well worth the wait, as they had incredible flavor. The atmosphere and staff is what really set the place off. Nice place and nice people.

Came for brunch. There were plenty of empty tables, yet it took 45 minutes for our appetizer(crummy fries) to come out. What were they doing back there? I could have grown my own potatoes faster than that. The fries were delicious, but my standards do tend to be substantially lowered if I’m starving. Also had a Bloody Mary. It was store-bought mix and not spicy. Boo. For entrees, he had the fried catfish and I had the chicken salad pitawich. Both were good, though nothing to shout to the world about. The pasta salad that came with the entrees was mediocre, and the chips looked and tasted like Ruffles. Friendly waitress, but for the price and the wait, there’s little desire to return anytime soon.

brunch, one of my favorite things to do in any city. It’s the kind of thin that’s supposed to be spontaneously romantic and fun. Not something to do by yourself, but best with an attractive person sitting across from you so that people wonder about your conversations. but about the food… it started off with a blast, a very nice menu and many choices. the appetizers include things like fried clams, oysters, soups, fried portabella fries. clam chowder(5 stars). seriously, i’m a huge chowder fan, amazing. creamy yet not dense soup base. comes with smoking hot potatoe chunks and abundant clams. you can see a thin layer of oil on top where they put the bacon chunks. wow. the best thing i had that day. pulled pork sandwich. admittedly average sandwich. from KC(home of amazing BBQ) and Oklahoma Joe’s(you should Unilocal this, see it on the food network, even anthony bourdain talks about it), this sandwich couldn’t hold its own. The pork was dry and tough to chew. came on a regular steamed hamburger bun. the thing was lifeless and had no color. OMG the fries were terrible! when you go to a nice restaurant, u expect gourmet style french fries. thinly cut, with season salt or herbs. these were obviously frozen oneida french fries. no taste and terrible. belgian waffles. again another failure at a brunch favorite. A classicly good waffle is crunchy on the outside and fluffy and delicate on the inside. this was just a floppy soggy item with waffle styling. the only saving grace was the AMAZINGMAPLESYRUP. I mean honestly, it comes in a little jar, and u’re half expecting it to suck. BUTWOW, the syrup is so refreshing, and light, leaves a clean taste on your palate. i hope this is better, the next time, but i can’t see myself going back anytime soon.

Great ambiance, good prices & nice service. My friend & I both had the Crum’s Toast — it was mouthwatering! Good deal on mimosa’s, thanks to our server’s suggestion: 1 bottle of champagne & endless OJ for $ 19. We also tried the calamari & portabella fries, which were both delicious! We will definitely be back.

I had to edit this review because I find it a little misleading and outdated. I gave it four stars because… I keep coming back. There aren’t many dining options in Augusta that are not chain restaurants. This has a nice ambiance, service is good, and it has a small menu. Dishes I’ve tried that are decent: Chicken Florentine, Pork Loin… and if you’re really hungry– the Coq au Vin. Brunch: Breakfast Burrito, Crum’s Toast, and Sausage and Mushroom omelet, Eggs Crum. The crab cakes are OK alone. If you had to pick a salad, go Fresh Herb Insalata. I’ve gone to a number of dinners here with large parties, and the restaurant is great about seating and serving in a reasonable amount of time.
