I hate to give a place a bad review without patronizing them, but it was IMPOSSIBLE for me to get the receptionist to understand what I wanted, the price of the services and who could actually perform the service. I am a beauty professional, have been since 2001, so I know what terminology to use about the services I wanted. I know this is a Caucasian based salon but from the pictures on Unilocal, there are quite a few African American stylists there who would completely understand what I was saying and asking for. I wanted to try this place out because the pictures on Unilocal are the actual styles I like, wear, and try to achieve when I’m styling my hair. I can do anyone’s hair all day but when it comes to mine I don’t put much effort into it because I don’t have eyes in the back of my head and the manipulation and flexibility of my arms and hands won’t let me perform intricate styles on my hair, so I’m pretty basic when it comes to my own hair. I was always envious of coworkers who could cut, perform chemical services and style their own hair. I’m not a master of that yet! I wanted an extravagant style for my upcoming birthday and from the pictures on Unilocal I knew one of the stylists could give me the exact look I wanted. Like the stated before, mostly Caucasians patronize this business but that is no excuse for not being able to style and perform services on hair other than Caucasians. The only thing that separates different races’ hair is the texture. Also, in cosmetology school you are trained in all textures of hair, so you could work in any type of salon. The texture you choose to work with outside of cosmetology school is your choice though. I wanted a dandruff treatment, maybe my natural hair in a twist set and an unit of extensions thermal styled. First, I kept asking the receptionist how much was the dandruff treatment and she kept quoting me $ 55, I repeated myself at least 5 times that I wanted just the dandruff treatment without styling. She kept quoting me $ 55. A dandruff treatment by itself is no more than $ 15. The stylist parts your hair and places dandruff shampoo on your scalp, massages it in and places you under a hooded dryer for several minutes. Then they shampoo and condition you as normal. So there’s no way that would be $ 55 without any kind of styling. Then I asked her about a having my unit curled. She kept saying they have customers who have clip-in extensions and is that what I have. I kept explaining to her that I actually take it off and put it on when I go anywhere. She still kept going on and asking me were they clip-ins. I tried my hardest to explain that it’s a wig but she couldn’t understand that. She said they may have one person that styles them, but it’s human hair and functions just like hair that grows out of your head, so why couldn’t just anybody in the salon thermal style a human hair unit!!! I was so frustrated with the whole exchanged because NONE of my questions I had were answered and I asked her could I speak with one of the stylists to explain to them what I wanted but she made it seem like her word was law. I also asked if I could come in and speak with someone, she skirted around that question as well. So I just thanked her and hung up. I will definitely have to go in and speak with an actual stylist to see if they can perform the services I want. I don’t know if the receptionist is competent or clueless about hair itself, but she definitely need some type of training or knowledge about what the salon she works for offers!!! Maybe I will have some type of luck when I go in and speak with a stylist!!!

I love that you can book on Unilocal.Anyway I booked a appointment online for the next day. I showed up a little early and was the 1st client to be seen. My stylist was really sweet and she new exactly what I wanted, just a trim and some face framing layers for my long hair. She shampooed, cut, and gave me a blowout, I was pleased with the outcome. I also liked that she didn’t push any products on me. I hate when I fee pressure to buy $ 100 worth of products on top of a haircut. I look forward to going back and possibly getting some color done!

I got a «Basic Fix» for $ 35 and the result was great! My hairstylist was behind so I had to wait a bit but the receptionist(who is also a makeup artist) took care of me and made sure my hair was washed and smelling great so that the appointment wouldn’t be more delayed. The interior is really airy and the décor is natural/modern. It smells great because of the Aveda products. My stylist was able to transform my hair into a work of art and I felt great for my event that night. My hair smelled great and I received compliments all night long! Fix has an online appointment option so you can book your appointment online instead of calling or going in person. Nice salon, nice people and great results!

Loved this place! Made my appointment online(I love this feature) at 6am and went in at 1:20pm. They took me in right away, gave me a relaxing shampoo and head massage and proceeded to style my hair exactly like the picture I used. The cut came out gorgeous! My stylist blow dried & curled my hair and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve always been that person who wants a cute cut, but when the stylist cuts off my hair, a little bit of me dies inside. This time around, I felt good from the first snip of my locks. Highly highly recommended! For a shampoo, cut, blow dry, & curl, $ 60 was a GREAT deal. I will definitely make this my go-to haircut/style spot.

I loved everything about my appointment. My stylist asked questions to figure out exactly what look I wanted. She gave me suggestions for the best possible result. My appointment was quick and comfortable and my hair looked great! I got compliments all night. Highly recommend.

Last minute appt. Needed it washed, blow-dried, and flat ironed. It came out great. Light, straight and smelling clean all in less than 90 minutes. The gentleman with the dreds — boom good job!

Excellent service! My first time going and I’m a very happy costumer. All the employees were very kind and welcoming. My stylist, apparently I can’t say names but I wish I could, was very receptive to what I wanted. The place was clean and it smelled natural, unlike many hair salons that smell like bleach. Most, if not all, the hair products she used on me were of natural ingredients and she informed me of each one. She also made fun light conversation with me. The price of having my chest-long curly hair and undercut cut-fixed, washed, blow-dried and flat-ironed was $ 55 which I considered totally fair. You can make the appointment online which is super convenient and they show a movie with subtitles while you get your hair done, which is pretty cool.

What a great spot to get your hair done. Highly recommend Shelby. I did a basic fix which included wash, blow dry and style(he curled it). Loved the look at the end. The atmosphere is very chill with music playing and a movie on the wall(with subtitles on so you can actually watch). I was skeptical of the concept but must say I’m a huge fan now. I did my appointment online which was really convenient too since they aren’t open late during the week.

Saw this place one night while I was out with friends at Takko Sushi. Tonight is date night, I thought why not try it out? I made an appointment online the same morning. I have to say I LOVE this feature. I’m not one who likes to talk to a live person. So being able to see multiple options online is a super plus! I arrived 15 mins early but was promptly seen. It was a slow day bc the weather was gross outside. Rainy and gray. Anyways, I was sat in the chair, I showed my girl a pic of what I wanted. Basic loose curls. Then off to the wash bowl I was sent. The wash was great. I love getting my hair washed and she did a great job! I felt really relaxed. Once back in the chair she started. I watched sex in the city in tv with subtitles. I do have one complaint. My head got kinda burned with the blow dryer while she was drying my hair. Just a few times. All in all she did a very good job and it’s nice to be able to just get a wash and style when you don’t need a hair cut. My visit cost me $ 28 + tip. Seems pretty competitive in price. I will definitely revisit again for my next event!

Love to get my hair«fixed»!! I have been to fix on several occasions and have had a great experience each visit. Love the space, the incredible massage with the shampoo, the fun movie or music, the enthusiastic people and the lemon water or wine(I recommend both!). I always get a ton compliments on my hair when I get it «fixed» too. Both my girls love Fix. We have had their hair fixed for Social and Spring formals. The stylists always make them feel special and pampered. And both girls have loved each style whether an up do, to long and straight or funky braids with a messy bun. Fix is always one of the first calls when we have a special event!
