Nice outdoor café, breakfast was good, I tried the sausage and egg scramble and would definitely get it again. Pleasant atmosphere with nice servers. Their mocha was made just right too.

Finally! A cute café that serves great food and coffee. I’ve been looking everywhere. I’ve been to several coffee shops in the area and this is definitely the best one I’ve been to yet.

What a nice, refreshing, fun way to spend our Saturday lunch. The service was Very friendly, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the food was clean, fresh, and«home made». Whoever is preparing the menu and meals understands the need to eat clean food, to use home made baked breads/ingredients, and to introduce how fun it is to eat food as God made it(e.g. Without chemicals and preservatives that are literally killing our bodies). We also had a smoothie and it was delicious. We love going downtown Augusta and the New Moon just makes it that much better! Thanks New Moon!

The food was awesome! I had an egg and cheese bagel sandwich, yogurt parfait, and grits. Everything was great, but the yogurt would have been fine with less berry compote.

On a rainy, chilly Saturday morning, New Moon Café was the perfect place to grab and cup of coffee and a warm, tasty breakfast. my in-laws and I were all impressed by the Grits Bowl, but weren’t overly enthused by the Avocado Toast. the staffers were all very pleasant and I loved that the order markers were of famous writers; we got Mark Twain. The bathrooms were very nice(and clean) and I appreciated that they were gender neutral(#nohote). Overall, I’m looking forward to another Saturday brunch at New Moon.

I went here for breakfast before church — this was my first visit here since living in Augusta all of 6 years. I must be honest for breakfast I thought their menu was quite limited and a little on the pricey side. I opted for the scrambled egg bowl — added sausage to it. I also had a Charleston breakfast tea with a splash of milk. It arrived promptly and even though it was quite a large bowl I felt that it was a little pricey for what I had been given. There was a hunk of white bread with it also. Now even though I thought it was a little pricey I am a fan of this place. The staff were very cheerful, happy and polite for what was a very early time on a Sunday morning. The restaurant was clean and airy. It was very busy considering the time and this added to the experience. I would definitely go again perhaps for lunch.

Food is not very good – very dry and sometimes tastes like it’s been reheated. In addition, they are not very friendly to children and can sometimes take forever to bring food out.

Great local place to check out; however, there menu items are hit or miss. Had the black bean soup and was served black beans and a lack of soup. I do recommend their green monster drink(contains peanut butter).

Eating breakfast here is a pleasure. I briefly lived in an apartment in the JB Whites building(which is where New Moon is) and the smell of bread and coffee was advertisement enough. I have probably eaten about 10 breakfasts here, and a couple lunches. They’ve all been great. Enter through any one of the three doors(outside patio, inside patio, inside hall) and order at the counter. Make sure you look around at all the posters and chalkboards too, because the double-sided laminated menus don’t necessarily have all of the newest items or specials. Check the counter for what bagels and muffins they have left. They’ll usually have 4 or 5 different coffees to choose from. Listen for your drink if you ordered one; they’ll yell it at the counter on the right, and bring your dishes to the trash can/“bus station” in the center of the room. They have free wifi so there’s usually students working on a laptop.

Great spot to grab a quick coffee. We haven’t tried much of the food beyond a breakfast sandwich(great!) but there are always people enjoying a snack when we stop in for a latte or ice coffee(try the vanilla iced coffee! Fantastic). Service is quick and friendly. Nice book shop next door. Cute atmosphere. The only con for me is that the menu is written on a dozen different boards in different places. It’s a little disorganized. The cookies are a bit expensive for how small they are, but they do look like they would be tasty. Looking forward to visiting again in the future, but it closes so early on a week day that’s pretty impossible unless I get a weekend in.

Quirky place — the«eclectic» to be kind décor wasn’t my taste and definitely doesn’t give off the feeling that this place is clean and quality. Ordered a large group of drinks to go, mixed reviews. I had the iced Jabba which was essentially an iced Americano with a splash of their homemade chai — it was really tasty. Tried My friends latte and it was so burnt she couldn’t drink it. My advice to the managers– clean up your pour it yourself coffee station. The dirty paper signs and clutter are unappealing. Nice folks and they made us a fresh pot of coffee for our order 5 minutes before closing so I appreciate that for sure.

I like the vibe and their chai, but on my second visit they totally messed up my order and the latte I ordered was sub par. I recommend the chai, but hesitate to recommend the food, as they weren’t busy at all and gave me something I didn’t order. I was bummed, as my first experience was so much better!

I like New Moon. The smoothies are the best thing on their menu, in my opinion. The baked goods, the sandwiches, and breakfast items(shoutout to the lox). The coffee is good, but not the best in Augusta. It’s great to have more than one locally roasted option, and the patio is a great plus to their location. The service can be hit or miss– I’ve waited a good 25 minutes for a smoothie on a day that wasn’t particularly busy or understaffed. Overall, a solid choice.

Bad, bad, bad. Don’t waste your time. This place is gross. People not eating taking up the good outside spots on their laptop. Took over twenty minutes and still no food. They ran out of something and instead of asking us if we want something different or bringing the one meal, there was nothing. We didn’t even know what was going on because no one told us, we just saw a few people get their sandwiches that came in after us. Basically, customer service are for shit, though they at least have me my money back when I asked for it, though no apologies were given. On top of that the menu is all over the place(figuratively and literally) because of its random menu and menu items on little pieces of paper around the cashier area. I did get an apple Chai tea and coffee, neither good, coffee was old and burnt tasting. Don’t waste your time at this seemingly trendy place that isn’t so good. Unsure why this place has good reviews!

I stopped in for a drink and ordered a dirty chai. The sign said they had homemade chai, and it didn’t taste like the generic Tazo mix, nor was it too sweet. That was refreshing, but I’m not sure if the flavor would have been strong enough without the shot of espresso. Later on, I came back hungry for a huge bowl of vegan Moroccan soup. There was no doubt that the soup was homemade. The squash was fresh and soft and the cinnamon was a great surprise. The Sonoma chicken salad platter was also very fresh and wonderful. Overall, this is a great local spot with something for everyone.

I’ve often walked past this place(and The White’s Building in general) without ever having gone in. But this morning, a friend and I decided to check it out and it was pretty good. They have standard brekkie choices, but then try to incorporate some interesting takes on them. I had a breakfast sandwich with a chai cider that was yummy. My friend let me have some of her grits and… wow. So cheesy, so creamy, so delicious. It’s a bowl of cheesy grits with bacon and avocado… how could you go wrong? Prices weren’t terrible, either. And if you’re lucky, you might catch some cool happenings and goings-on in some of the spaces of The White’s Building, to boot.

Entire civilizations have been built and destroyed in the time it takes to get eggs and toast at this place. Even by hipster standards, your bushy beard would grow twice the length in the time it takes to just place an order here. Let’s not bore you with details. Here’s a couple of stories, for your infotainment. Server, speaking to our neighboring table: «I see your ticket says no turkey on your sandwich. This sandwich has turkey. Do you care?»(True story) Server, speaking to my dining companion: «I see you ordered Crab Bisque. This is Tuscan soup. Do you care?»(My companion sent it back and she poured it back into the kitchen vat of Tuscan soup. OMG) Look, I could bore you with more, but why bother? The food here is fine. But, waiting 30 minutes to order, waiting 15 minutes for a coffee, and then waiting another 30 for eggs and toast is beyond abysmal. Go to Waffle House. Unless you’ve got the time.

I had to get some coffee on a Sunday morning and New Moon was the only thing open. I ordered a white chocolate mocha, which was amazing. I got my daughter the Nutella Hot Chocolate. I had to steal some, it was delectable. We ordered some cheese danishes which were sweet and creamy with a flaky buttery outer crust and a warm soft inside. A sweet young lady gave my daughter several mini-muffins which she would not share with me she loved them so much. Very kind of the staff. I will be coming back and trying more of their outstanding java and pasteries.

I stopped by while driving through Augusta and only tried the Vanilla latte. It was a little bitter for my taste but I loved the ambiance of the place. I liked how spacious and laid back it was. There were some people reading and studying. I didn’t get to try any of food but would come back to try. Next time, I would skip the latte and try the food!

$ 0.25 refills on coffee, including cold brew! There were so many options — coffee, lattes, smoothies and more. The smoothies looked really good and you could choose the fruit and juice or milk or yogurt that went in the smoothie. Some people were eating food too that looked good. Everything tasted fresh! The ambiance is cool and you can sit inside or outside. There are big tables to go with a group or meet, do work, etc.

I… have questions. For instance, how did New Moon know I would need to be surrounded by dope local art while I eat? Or, how did they pack so many fresh and delicious toppings AND buttery delicious grits into that teeny tiny bowl and have me feeling full and sleepy? Is this the real life? ISIT just fantasy? No friends, it’s the New Moon café, and they are literally all that matters right now. Fresh coffee, hot coffee, cold coffee, smoothies, yogurts, Dem ‘ninis, soups, salads, sandwiches and so much more make for a delightful afternoon treat in Augusta’s downtown strip. This place is great if you’re hungry, or just want to mellow out to some classic hip hop delicately enhancing your turn up in the background. Outkast and decaf? Yes, absolutely. The atmosphere is crammed with Augusta art culture, cards, flyers and connections, and the staff are super duper friendly. They are right next to a dope book shop and their prices are super reasonable for the quality, LOCAL ingredients they serve. My only criticism is the availability of a plethora of pastries, cookies and cupcakes to be found at their checkout counter. New Moon, do you NOT care about my double chins??? Why would you offer such delicious cookies in a tantalizing variety of flavors? So ruthless. TL;DR: Check em out while they serenade the streets of GA.

I am all about supporting the local downtown community and based on the Unilocal ratings, expected a much better experience. My husband and I came in for lunch and was immediately by the chalkboard signs and artsy feel of the place. The mood lighting made me feel like I was in a library and had to be very quiet. There was only one other person dining in at 2:00 and there was no music so our conversation could be heard bouncing off the walls. My husband and I opted for their crab soup(made with surimi and not anything close to real crab) and two sandwiches. The soup had a layer of cream on it that made it look like it was microwaved and the sandwiches were sloppy and overdressed. It’s a cute place but I wasn’t impressed in the least.

Such a delightful place. They serve breakfast all day. The grits are amazing! I usually stop by about every other month, the staff is great and most attentive. The coffee is delicious and you can sip your coffee and view all the interesting art while waiting on your meal. Today I am having the breakfast wheat wrap, hot off the skillet. The eggs are perfect and the sausage and veggies add just the right flavor.
