Another average Piccadilly, nothing particularly bad and nothing particularly special. Price for weekday lunch was fair, if you stick to just the specials. Add anything at all, like a salad, soup, or dessert, and they hit you with absurd high prices. Could not believe they get $ 2 for a salad that fits into a two inch wide dish. Veggies tasted great, but the main course was very bland, more like tasteless. The dining room attendants apparently expect a tip for just clearing your dirty dishes. I am not a fan of Piccadilly, and there are much better moderately priced restaurants in Augusta, but our tour group stopped here, so I had no choice. Oh, and they had sign that said they give a 10% military discount, so I showed the cashier my military ID card and she still charges me full price, go figure. I was hungry, so I did not argue with her.

I’ve come here on several occasions because of a group decision. I’m not really a fan of the cafeteria style restaurant, but many are. I did enjoy our service. They have plenty of seating and several options for food. The portion sizes are great if you want a little assistance counting calories. I had mostly vegetable dishes. The cabbage and broccoli casserole were good. I also had green beans, which my niece ate. I think she liked them. I had macaroni and cheese, but it wasn’t so good. I can’t explain what was missing. Weekends are busy, but they get you through fairly quickly because of the cafeteria style. You pay upfront after leaving, which is simple. This particular Piccadilly has plenty of parking. While in lot, I noticed they also do to-go orders.

I took my family to Piccadilly for lunch today, and we thought the place was good, the food was tasty, servers were friendly, and price was very reasonable – just the way I remembered it when I left home for the service 20 years ago. It was nice to be back home and enjoy a good meal at a good restaurant and didn’t have to paid an arm and a leg for it. Three kids had the $ 4.95 kids meals each with fried shrimps, small salad, two sides, bread and soda with refills. Three of us adults each had a meal deal. I had the turkey/dressing and cranberry sauce, green pea salad, greens, and jalapeño corn bread. My sister had chicken dumplings with fried okra, and green beans. My wife had beef liver/onions, green beans, rice and corn bread. The whole meal was $ 25. I doubt you can find a good meal for 3 adults and 3 kids at that price. The place was clean and the servers were friendly and professional. Our server help our kids carried their trays to the table, and she came back several times asking if we need anything or refills. BTW, this place offers 10% discount for military. We will be in town for a few more days over the Holidays, and we will definitely come back.

I would not let my DOG eat here! Staff friendly, THEEND. I like cafeterias too, but… food old, cold, not even cheap! Why didn’t I leave when the first 2 trays I picked up still had food on them and I don’t mean the sterilized leftover type! This stuff was freshly put there by the last customer. After talking to check out lady with missing teeth and black with cig tar,(she was white but spoke preschool English)… some big sweaty guy walks out of kitchen with literally a leaf size clear garbage bag over himself, arm hole and head opening tore open. OH, That’s appetizing! Not worth going on to use my text thumb about, stay away unless that was yr mom and brother u need to support.
