Had a part break on the craftsman mower and was expecting to be able to go right to sears to get the part. I went to the section I thought the part should be in but did not see it. So I decided I needed an employee to make sure I was looking in the right place. What I initially found was a computer station setup for«self help» which I find to be less than helpful. It took a little bit but I was actually able to hunt down a live employee which confirmed a sad truth. They really don’t stock the parts there anymore. It has to be ordered online. I find this a bad practice because now I have a half mowed lawn that will be that way for a week unless I want to spend $ 30(more than the part) on overnight shipping. If I had bought what Lowes or Home Depot sell I would have had a chance of them stocking the part and if they were out I could have the part at their location, no shipping cost, within 2 days. Sears just isn’t the store it use to be.
