Finally, I made it here! This place was outstanding. Every time I thought of going here, it was on one of their closed days. But then, it was a fine Wednesday and I found myself at their bar. The space is small and intimate, and really nice. The courses I had were all good; I just wish my belly had more room, as the Scotch egg special sounded super yummy. Definitely looking forward to a future visit.

This find offers a very nice dining experience in Augusta. While waiting for my meal, I enjoyed some wonderfully fresh rolls with butter. The service was excellent. For an opener, the Shrimp & Grit Cake was remarkable. With a crunchy crust, the grits were firm but moist inside, the addition of the corn & red bell pepper was just right. The stars of the plate were the smoky andouille sausage and the perfectly cooked shrimp in a sweet sauce with just the right kick! This is highly recommended! My entrée was the Ahi Tuna; pan-seared with a little crunch on top top. This was served with an aioli and Asian vegetables.(snow peas, carrots, light sauce) I enjoyed the tuna, though it was not as rare as I had hope. This is a restaurant worth recommending to your friends.

My husband and I recently moved to the Summerville area and have been waiting to try this place. We are both fans of Irish food and couldn’t believe our luck of moving within walking distance of an Irish pub! Well… so much for that. This place is not the least bit Irish. And no, it does make up for that in amazing food. Very average meal for a big price. The mussel appetizer was good but it ends there. The choice of food is severely limited to seafood and grits pretty much. The fish and chips for close to $ 20 is the same meal you could purchase at Captain Ds. I will give the place points for excellent bartenders and curteous staff though. It’s a pitty that that’s all they have going for them in my book.

The food is pretty good but if you’re looking for an Irish pub experience, this is not the place for you. There are very few authentically Irish pub fares on the menu, unless Vietnamese egg rolls or Chinese style Dumplings are Irish. It’s more restaurant than pub. They don’t seem to have a beer list, but they have a wine list.

Five stars. Clearly my kinda place. Advice to the fellas in here though: your visors, golf polos and baseball caps aren’t impressing me. Psssssshhhhh. Great shrimp bisque. :licks lips: The Manhattan is good too; thanks I’ll have another. To my fellow patrons: when someone is in the bathroom with the door LOCKED… for the sake of JESUSTITTYFUCKINGCHRIST, stop rattling the door knob. I’ll go slower JUST because of it. Great place.

The wife and I both loved this place. As many others have noted, it’s a nice restaurant and not what most would consider an Irish pub, but that’s certainly not a knock against them. Our waitress was great, and it was an enjoyable environment — you could tell a lot of folks from the surrounding neighborhoods frequent this place from the warm, friendly chatter amongst patrons and staff. The food was tasty, too — scotch eggs are a must-try, and both the pepper jack grits and scallops were some of the best I’ve ever tasted. I was torn between a 4 and 5 star review on this one, ultimately leaning a bit lower because there ARE a handful of places in this area that just do it all better. They’re also a bit lacking on both seating and parking. If you want to eat here at a table, I would highly recommend coming in early and having reservations.

Heads up, you will need reservations to get a table. I was able to sit at the bar, which has full menu service, and enjoy a dark and stormy cocktail. There is nothing at all that is Irish about this pub, but I think that adds a charming quirkiness to the restaurant. The service at the bar was great.

I loved this place. It’s a divey yet an upscale restaurant all in one. It has a great feel to it. It has a great food. And it has a great bar. The last time I was there I got the Sriracha Shrimp for an appetizer which was fantastic and grilled salmon for my entrée, which was even better. The salmon was still me of the best salmon I have ever had and the mash potatoes, which really how I judge my food, were excellent. The bar had a great selection of beers, wines and spirits. Overall, we had a great experience there and are looking forward to making our way back some time soon!

This is my first choice for fine dining in Augusta. The crowds are small the tables are close, the bar is small but the atmosphere is off the chart. Reservations are recommended but I have dropped in and was able to get a table. The menu is always fresh. I am always impressed when the staff can tell you about all of the items on the menu, and they take customer service to a new level. If you are on a a date, with a special person, this is the place you need to take them to. The prices are within reason for the quality of the food. Sheehan’s has never let me down.

Reservation for 7:30 seated upon arrival. Waitress provided excellent service start to finish. Food was excellent fair prices for quality –upscale clientele and atmosphere. Nice relaxing dinner very good server –great for special occasions or a girls night out. Menu is limited but have good selection of specials nightly also — seafood seems to be a big staple so if you are land lubber be prepared! Not lots of options. Overall great dining but it’s not for the cheap skates!

We ordered the special — a fried eggplant on a bed of rice with some mustard greens — topped with onions and peppers and Andouille sausage, and a cream sauce — DELICIOUS. The other dish was a Catfish Louisianne. Also delicious. The service was excellent and the hostess, in particular, was a huge help. The funny thing is — you would never guess this place was an «Irish Pub» if you hadn’t read it on the door. But don’t let that stop you. This is a good spot.

Overall, great restaurant. We’ll definitely be back. Food was more Cajun than Irish, but that was okay with me. We shared one app, one soup, one entrée and one dessert. We had five beers and one martini. Bill was $ 78 – moderately priced. This is a place we will definitely return to. Place was packed on a Wednesday night, so you know it had to be good. We sat at the bar. Our bartender was very nice, but her coworker needs another job – complained the entire time about everything! The place had a nice atmosphere. The menu had great options. We shared a shrimp and grit cake app, which was great! We also had a cup of shrimp bisque, which was a special that night. We thought it was bland, buy would’ve been good with a little more seasoning. Next, we ordered the catfish louisianne. It was a blackened catfish covered with a crawfish tail sauce, on cheese grits. It was also very good. For dessert, we had the whiskey cake. It was a whiskey pound cake with whipped cream, strawberries, and I asked for a ball of ice cream. I think it needs sweet whiskey based sauce and the whipped cream needed a little sweetness to it. I don’t think I’ll be ordering it again.

One of the best restaurants we have in Augusta, hands down. I’ve tried them all. And for people who have said the Irish food is no good, I happen to know and Irishman. He comes here for the Masters every year, and he eats her every year. He told me that is as good as any place at home.

This place was GREAT. I have been here about a year now and I drove past it countless times and I don’t think I even realized what I was missing. It’s not a pub in the way I think of a pub, it’s actually more like a nice restaurant. But, it does have a nice bar, with a number of options for beers on tap, so no issues there. It was, overall, a really nice dinner. The décor: A Service: A Price: B – a bit pricey, but worth it Food: A – probably one of the top 3 – 4 restaurants in Augusta. The stilton cheese grits are great. The filet was exceptional, and the spicy shrimp were really tasty. The mussels were delicious, and the bread was piping hot. I don’t think I need to go on. This place is amazing. Go here!

Scotch eggs, shrimp and grits cake, and probably everything is delicious. The menu has something for the finicky eater husband. We were lucky to try his venison chili during the winter and it was so delicious we ordered two to go for the next day. Another special if I remember correctly was a crab cake with a beautiful display of vegetables. We had split the appetizer and I decided to order the dinner portion because it was so delicious. We are a big fan and only wish they were on opentable so I can check to make a reservation early on a Saturday morning to see if we can make plans for that evening. Otherwise, I have to wait till about 3pm and we are 35 miles from town. So, if there are no reservations available, I’m all dressed up with no where to go. Guaranteed delicious restaurants like Sheehan’s and Frog Hollow require reservations in Augusta.
