An all around excellent meal! The music was wonderful, everyone in my party loved their meal and the service was fast and friendly. The Rancho potatoes are a must have, and the absolute crowning jewel of the outing was their deep fried pecan pie. I don’t even like pecan pie and it was delicious! If I were a local I would frequent here for sure. Not to be missed!

I recently hosted a baby shower in their private room and couldn’t have asked for better service, food and atmosphere! Mr. Monroe thought of everything and went out of his way to provide the best experience for us! I highly recommend The Cotton Patch!

The servers are top notch and food great! Ask for the Charleston Chicken and the top shelf scotch; Make sure to bring your cigars on Thursdays to blow off some steam from a hard day of work. The owners, Marshall & Lisa, have a «Gem.» They are always hospitable and make sure to resolve any item to make sure your experience at The Cotton Patch is memorable.

This place is awesome! I am here with my friend enjoying Thursday night Scotch and Cigar. The owner(Marshall) showed us how to cut and smoke the cigars, since it is our first time. Great ambiance. Live DJ is playing old school. We are out on the patio and having s superb time. Food is good too! Make sure you visit because you will not be disappointed!

Food was avg. Service was nice. But was really not worth the $. Was a shell of what I remembered 25 years ago. What a shame what happened to this whole area really. Live jazz music brought in the crowds of people really.

First time here. We brought our young teenagers. Good atmosphere and music. Attentive service. Fried catfish was moist and flaky. Steak cooked perfectly. Generous fish portion on po boy. Under $ 50 for 4 of us! Will be returning for live music night!

Nice little spot I enjoyed yesterday(7÷21÷15). I went there around 230 on a Tuesday afternoon and surprisingly there was only one other table with customers. This might have to do with the fact that it was 102 outside and it seemed like the air conditioner was struggling to keep the place cool. It was not unbearable but I did glisten from the warm temps inside. Upon getting to The Cotton Patch there is plenty of parking in the front and to be honest I believe you can juts pick a spot without worrying about getting a boot or harassed. I ordered the Lady L and Tokyo Tea(TT) for drinks and both were refreshing. The Lady L is basically a cosmopolitan and the TT was good since everyplace I have been makes it there own way. For appetizers I went with the fried green tomatoes and ranch potatoes. They were cooked very well. The fried green tomatoes weren’t too thin and the crust had a nice crunch while allowing you to still taste the tartness of the tomato. Their buffalo cream sauce that came with it was a nice dipping option. In so many places you usually get a remoulade sauce to accompany this particular appetizer. The ranch potatoes were nice and plentiful as it was a dish of waffle fries topped with bacon bits, scallions, cheese, and a side of ranch and sour cream. For my main course I went with the Charleston chicken and it was nice to get a chicken breast that was juicy and not dried out from cooking. Tip of the hat to the staff for this. The chicken was topped with shrimp and the buffalo cream sauce was drizzled over it. It comes with either a salad or the soup of the day. I went with the soup which was potato and take a guess what it was topped with? That’s right bacon crumbles. Very tasty soup and for the side I went with the Mrs. D’s mac n cheese. Best part of this mac n cheese is that it was real mac n cheese and not some hot water added to a powder mix. I read some reviews complaining about prices and everyone is entitled to their opinion. That’s what makes Unilocal so great because I truly feel they are honest reviews spread across a period time to give the consumer a better idea of service and quality. The prices are very reasonable compared to many parts of the country. I live directly between DC and Baltimore and I only wish I could get prices like these along with the food quality. It is all about perception and I have no doubts that I got my moneys worth.

Worst place on Augusta to have dinner. After the third waitress and twenty minutes, two of the four got water. While delaying our beverage, by the way it was 18 minutes to get the first beer after and we waited then decided to start a timer, we found a crystallized hunk of food on the floor under the table. The other open tables still had dirty dishes. So we didn’t move. The $ 12 steak does not compare to the Waffle House steak. I had three bites and the remains was all fat. I thought this might be a single incident, but the other two at the table were equally terrible. The side that was ordered got traded because they ran out of mashed potatoes. No questions asked, you get ore Ida fries! Lucky you. They were cold and mushy. We mentioned it but that didn’t seem to matter. You can already read from the other reviews how slow the service is. No need to harp on that, but for fun — it was 15 seconds after we requested the bill that it showed up. Wish the rest of the service was anywhere near quick.

Went for lunch with my wife and kids and service was sloooow! It was so slow we left without eating. At least two parties came in after we were seated and were served before us. We ordered the fried green tomatoes and you get only 4 for like $ 8. Not worth it. We paid for the appetizer and drinks and left. My first and last time going there.

The food was great. Everything we order was so good. We met the new owner. Very relaxing place to have a good meal and listen to some good music. We had a great time. We will be back.

Horrible service!!! Went for lunch and waited 30 plus minutes for 2 po’boy sandwiches, cheeseburger, and soup. The waiter did not come by the table to check with us or explain why our food was not at the table. Instead he was serving people that came in after we had placed our order with their food. Oh, don’t order the fried green tomatoes, you only get 4 slices for $ 7. That was a waste of money. Very disappointing! First and last visit there!

Today was our first trip to The Cotton Patch. We went for lunch. The atmosphere was good but the food was nothing to write home about. Everything on the menu sounded great but left much to be desired. My husband had the Cowboy burger + fries and I had the Fried Green Tomato + steaked veggies burger. The burgers were good. Both cooked well but still very juicy. The side items were terrible. French fries were the frozen crinkle fries like you can get at any grocery store. The veggies were also frozen and steamed to death — they tasted like water with a hint of vegetable. The rancho potatoes were good but overpriced — basically loaded waffle fries. Not terrible but nothing special either.

I am giving less than 4 stars. It is under new management. Service is a bit slow, food is good, I am sure they have a few kinks to work out. Will return a few more times just to check. We did like the boom boom shrimp, make sure to try those!

Absolute worst chicken fingers I’ve ever had– cheap, over-cooked, and very over-priced at $ 9 for 5. Thing is, The Cotton Patch used to have great chicken fingers but they changed their recipe a few years back. I tried it again today and, yeah, it’s terrible. The server didn’t bother to ask why I didn’t touch them. No point in complaining because I won’t be coming back. Maybe their other food is fine, I don’t know, but the chicken fingers are completely unacceptable and blatantly over-priced. I’ll supposes I’ll try them again in 5 or 10 years; perhaps they’ll choose to spend more money on chicken fingers that aren’t cheap and horrible. So, you’d expect chicken fingers to to a light-brown, lightly breaded with soft, tender chicken. These were dark brown, heavily breaded, and sort of twisted looking. Either over-cooked or just bad in general, but either way they’re cheap. Sorry, I’m just pissed I got ripped off. If you’re gonna charge $ 9 for 5 chicken tenders, they should be much, much better quality than this.

Under new management now, drink was really good, the waitstaff not so much. I’m liking the smooth love Jazz on wine down Wednesday. I give it a 3 out if 5

Not ready for prime time. Long wait times and incompetent staff and management made this reopening a disaster. Ordered the Charleston chicken. Was very tough to cut, lukewarm, fairly dry and flavorless. Maccorroni and cheese was good but wasn’t very warm either. Likely won’t return. The one positive was the music

I came here after a Unilocal event. It was close to the event location and I had dined here before and enjoyed it, so I said why not come back. The experience was acceptable. There weren’t many people in the dining room when we entered but we did have to wait a little bit for our server to come, I don’t know why though!!! I settled for the jerk chicken sandwich with fries. It was ok. The chicken was not spicy at all. I was think it would be but it wasn’t. I was a little disappointed but the chicken was cooked well. The fries were ok. They needed a little salt or something. The wait staff was really nice and once they got there they were attentive. I want to come back here and try more things on the menu.

This is one of my favorite downtown Augusta restaurants. I usually drop in around lunchtime because I like to visit restaurants during this time. Lunchtime usually provides you with the best deals. In this case, it’s the best deals and great quality. I recently visited for a baby shower. This is actually the second baby shower I’ve attended at Cotton Patch. The Cotton Patch has a very small private building located outside the restaurant for small parties. The room can probably accommodate 20 people comfortably. If you rent the space a server is dedicated to your party and is not troubled with the task of waiting on other restaurant guests. We received menus and water at the same time, which I find is rare. I guess that’s because most servers would like to know if you prefer different beverage. I thought that was great because I’m always thirsty. The menu here is great. They have salads, wraps, wings, etc. My sister ordered a buffalo dip that she’d been raving about. I tried it and it was Great! I will be ordering it on my next visit. I often order the Chicken Salad or wrap, which has yet to let me down. The broccoli casserole is also a great side choice. The Cotton Patch is very cute restaurant. It is located near the riverfront and in close walking distance from the Augusta Common. They have a gorgeous outdoor seating area fitted with umbrellas for the summer months. The parking lot sucks! It’s made of gravel, which is annoying to walk on, especially in heels. I’m not sure why they choose to keep the lot that way. In my opinion the gravel doesn’t add to the location’s character. The staff is very nice. They are trained well and they know everything on the menu in great detail. The prices are reasonable. This is great spot for a couple. I don’t really see it as a group spot, but you can be the judge. I rate The Cotton Patch on the top 10 places to eat in downtown Augusta.
