such a weak spot for me. i can’t come here without spending hundreds on a few must-have pieces. at first, it feels like the sales associates are coming on a little strong, but after getting started in the fitting room, you realize that they’re really only trying to help — and they all have a great eye for what works on you and your body type. they aren’t pushy or try to tell you what you should wear. instead, they quickly figure out what you’re looking for based on what items catch your attention and then go from there. it’s a gift. it’s very appreciated. all sales are final, but if you’re paying that much for an item of clothing, i’d HOPE it’s something you absolutely love and can’t leave the store without. that’s how the cool kids shop.

I always come here when I’m looking for a dress for a formal occasion. They have the best selection of dresses and I always end up trying on so many before deciding on one. Their service is excellent and this is why I’m giving them 5 stars. Every time I’ve gone I’ve always had someone take my stuff and start a room for me. Whether I’m there by myself or with someone else I’m always taken care of. They will go find you the right size if you pick out the wrong one and will even bring you different things that are similar that you may not have seen. If you’re by yourself and need an opinion don’t be shy, just ask the person helping you. While they probably are making commission, I never feel like they’re being pushy or trying to get you to buy the most expensive item. The last time I went I bought two dresses that were made out of silk on the top. They were pretty wrinkly and the person helping me said that she would be glad to steam the garments for me which was great because it saved me a trip to the dry cleaners and some money too! I also usually get pretty lucky and happen to go when they’re having extra 40−50% off their dresses. I have paid as low as $ 30 for a dress when they were having a lot of great deals combined. They also have shoes, accessories, and clothes but I mainly come for the dresses.

A meeting in nearby Batavia means a lunch break spent shopping at Chicago Premium Outlets. I only had 45 minutes to do my damage, but I’m a swift and severe punisher. I walked into BCBG and deftly made my way through the racks, until I landed upon the sexiest pair of black skinny jeans I’ve ever seen. Yes, zippers have become de riguer again as of late, but this particular pair has zippers on the back of the leg instead of the side. Less 80s, more sexpot. Can’t wait to team them with a new pair of shiny black stilettos! I also picked up two beautiful leather belts and a long, dangly necklace. Very boho and effortlessly chic. Most everything is on sale right now, too… if you can find an excuse to get to Aurora, I highly suggest you do. Before I come back and buy out the entire store! Happy shopping.

Last year, I tried on a long-sleeve embellished BCBG top at Macy’s and absolutely loved how it looked on. Then I saw the price tag: $ 260. Utterly dejected, I returned it to the rack. A few weeks ago, while browsing the stores at the Aurora Outlet Mall, I saw the very same top hanging outside the BCBG outlet, in my size only. The cost? $ 40, no returns. It was fate. I spent some time inside the store, and their markdowns are significant: anywhere from 30 to 70%.

Attn: Corporate: Re: Salesperson #9228 and company on 04/04/2009 Apalling sales staff. Ridiculously snobby– Particularly when said cashier is working at an outlet mall, in the middle of nowhere, making barely above minimum wage and no benefits. Either this is how you train staff and/or She needs to feel good about her failed self somehow. Sad. I’m really not motivated to buy the smaller size I asked for when they are acting all upity and insulted that I interupted blabber-time behind the counter, Oh and Corporate? It looks like a hurricane this store. You might want to hire somone who can hang or fold in the future instead of a moron who snorts indignantly when you are ready to buy a dress! Or a purse, or um, half a bikini? P. S. I didn’t buy the dress. No sale. But hey Corporate, at least you have the latest in Aurora gossip and that’s what’s important, right?

Heaven! I love BCBG and admittedly spent about an hour in this store because I looked at every single rack of clothes. As Alison M. said, the great thing about this store is that it’s all merchandise that you’ve probably seen at Bloomingdale’s/Nordstrom/Macy’s…it’s not«lower quality» or made to be sold only at the outlet. They were having a huge sale this weekend, and I ended up with about $ 1,200 worth of merchandise for $ 250. We’re talkin’ a $ 450 cropped leather jacket for $ 90, $ 200 trousers for $ 25, etc. I left with some great stuff and no buyer’s remorse :) Also, the employees were extremely nice and helpful. They remembered the names of EVERYONE who was trying on clothes — how often do you encounter customer service like that?

The best thing about the BCBG outlet is that none of these clothes are made for the outlet– they are all genuine, sold at nice stores, BCBG Max Azria clothes. You’ll see things here that were selling for three times as much 9 months ago. Sure, probably about 50% of the clothes are kind of costumey. But, if you’re willing to wait, you can get really lucky here. The worst thing about this store is the chaos– it’s pretty disorganized, there’s never enough sales people on the floor, and the dressing rooms are always taken up by girls and their moms bringing about 40 different choices for prom with them. If they’d just set a limit on the number of clothes people can bring in with them, they’d have a much happier clientele. Well, at least a much happier me.

Yesterday was Outlet Day, and I had to play Trinny and help a client pick out some not so boyish clothes.(I’m a style consultant). So the girl crew schlepped it to Aurora for shopping. Max Azria is my favorite designer, so BCBG was of course the first stop. I picked up a short sleeve t-shirt sweater for $ 19 and had planned to get some city shorts, but unfortunately they weren’t in my size!(booo) I couldn’t get my client into a foo foo dress, but at least she did pick up some awesome rocker jeans. Either way, for it to be an outlet, there were loads of cute clothes and tons of frilly dresses so it made me happy just to be there.

My friend and I went to the outlet mall and we got some great deals. I was really looking forward to BCBG and even though had some great sales(70% off), I didn’t get any clothes. I got the CUTEST pair of black boots! They were on sale at $ 150 and was an extra 50% off!!! OMG they are the best pair of boots!!! The clothes selection isn’t as good as regular stores(but that’s not surprising) but they had some decent selections. I give 4 stars just b/c of the shoes. Oh, the service is also good and the workers are nice.
