Currently writing this review as I watch game 7 post conference. As soon as Cleveland won, they cut the sound and started playing music. Currently watching Cleveland make history to the sound of Lady Gaga’s Born This Way. Will never go back to this bar ever again. One star because I have no choice and the song changed to the Rolling Stones

We ate lunch there on a Saturday. Almost Noone in there, so, service was very good. The food was very good and the portions were large. The Pub Club was good and they didn’t overdo it with the mayo which makes for a sloppy sandwich. The fries were crispy and good as well. It also came with a cup of soup which was homemade and also good. Pricing was fair.

3 stars only because the place is a muck, its sticky everywhere, even the menus are sticky. Food overall was 4⁄5:

Great spot for a quick delicious lunch. I recommend the studs turkey sandwich and clam chowder(Soup changes daily and chowder is on Fridays). Very reasonable price and great staff.

I like it. I went there with some buddies. Food was good and service was quick. Can’t ask for much more.

Bar tenders are lazy, food has no flavor, waitress not with it! Avoid this place!!! Makes me sad this is a Blackhawks bar because I will not go to again!

Went to this establishment for the first time yesterday. My family and I went to celebrate a birthday and going away party. When we arrived it was very slow. That should have been my first indication. What bar is not busy on Saturday? The server Angela came to greet us. She could barely keep her eyes open. She looked like she was high. We ordered our drinks. She didn’t know what was in the drinks either. It took over five mins to get our drinks. Then we played darts. Which the dart area was unorganized and all the tips were bent. Plus it’s s dollar a play. We ordered food. It was ok. It was just freezer food. Took fifteen mins to get our food. Bathroom was ok. Need to fix the lights. I wouldn’t want to bring friends here. I don’t plan on going back. Next time I will go to downtown Naperville.

Nice place for drinks after dinner. Few friends and I stopped by here because it was close to home and open on Sunday night. Reasonable prices I had a long island which was $ 6.50 and friend got a beer $ 4.50. I shall return.

Just an outstanding place to watch the Hawks. The bar tenders are fantastic. Only 2 for a packed bar and the rock! Highly recommend…

Nice neighborhood bar. Food is decent for bar food. I really enjoy their pulled pork sliders, burgers and pizza are so so. When at the bar the service is good, bartenders are nice and know what’s going on. As for the table service, it’s usually hit or miss. Over all a good place to stop for a drink or a quick bite.

We eat here at least 4 time a month. Every meal is spot on. The service is very good. Loads of drink specials. 24TV’s. If you are a Blackhawks fan they raffle off an authentic jersey near the end off the 3rd period when the Hawks play. Suggest you reserve a table on game day because sometimes is standing room only.

For me, Chelios’ is exactly what I expected. Meh food, cheap drinks, and plenty of hockey fans. It was hard for me to be as let down as other folks were, because given the area and the fact that this pub is in a strip mall, I kind of got what I expected. Could it be better? Yes. Is it a convenient local spot to catch a game? Yes. Would I go there for the food? Definitely not. I’ve been here twice now. The first time being last spring with my family for drinks when my husband and I were house shopping. We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for drinks and what ended up being food as well because we stuck around so long. Their $ 5 log island special got the best of us so we just kept on sippin’! I ordered the buffalo chicken salad and while I didn’t have any specific complaints, it definitely wasn’t the best salad I’ve ever had. This last visit in, my husband and I came to catch a little of the Blackhawk’s game, enjoy a drink and some dinner. We sat ourselves at a high top table near the big screen close to the bar and were greeted promptly. You could tell everyone in the place were either regulars or strictly in for the game. Chelio’s of course is a hockey bar, so all of their specials are hockey themed. They even have a couple red buzzers on the ceilings by the bar that go off when the hawks score — pretty cool! Here are my highs and lows of our eventing… Highs: — Food and drink specials! I enjoyed a $ 4 glass of cabernet and the Chicken ZaZa daily special which included mozzarella, grilled veggies, rice pilaf, garlic bread and a cup of soup of my choice(I went with tomato). — Chicken and veggies were very good! — Our waitress was friendly and on top of her game — Plenty of TVs to enjoy the game — Total bill for a glass of wine, a beer, and two meals was $ 30! Lows: — Tomato soup was so-so — Garlic bread was a joke. It might as well have been cardboard because it didn’t taste like much. — Rice pilaf was okay, but honestly the kind I make out of a box I think is better. — SUPER loud. Granted the hubs and I didn’t go there for an intimate night, but I literally had to shout across our small table just to make a comment. High/Low: We were in and out in a little less than an hour. Take that as you will.

The atmosphere of this place is definitely fun, especially if you are a hockey fan. I’ve sat at the bar and at tables, I’d have to say that the service at the bar is much better. As far as food goes, I’ve had many items, mostly sandwiches/wraps/burgers. Most of it is so-so and to be honest, I liked the Star Bar’s food better. I’d still come back here for a casual lunch or to watch a game just because I like the actual building and bartenders.

I would give zero star if it was an option. Went here with my boyfriend, on a quiet tuesday night– the bar had several loud, over-served patrons, the server was uneducated about any cocktails or the draft selection, and when I asked if there was a drink menu,(which your menu instructs you to ask your server for) I was told they didn’t have one, but had a ‘standard’ bar. Sub-standard is more like it, as the bartender and server were much busier talking than pouring my beer… Slow service and below average food was nothing compared to the DISGUSTING bathroom. The stalls literally had caked on layers of filth that clearly hadn’t been cleaned in months. Sure the restroom was picked up, toilets were clean, but if your staff is too complacent to wipe up a mess in the bathroom that your customers see, I can only imagine how filthy the kitchen would be. I was so grossed out I couldn’t finish my food. I will never go back, which is unfortunate because a local place to grab a burger and catch a hawks game would be awesome! but food poisoning is a risk I’m not willing to take.

We called our order in and my boyfriend went and picked it up. Although we live less than a mile away, our food was kind of cold once we got home. The food itself was a step below mediocre. My boyfriend ordered«hot» chicken wings. A Taco Bell sauce packet had more heat and flavor than these wings. The breading on the wings were soggy and gross. My food was better. Just a typical burger. The fries were good, but had an overwhelming taste of fried food. There’s a lot of better bars out there with better food. I’d skip this one and head to another one for a better experience

Two stars is being generous but their prices for large mugs is $ 4.50 for domestics. However, the lines to the kegs are dirty and the beer was flat and not ice cold. Based on the tap beer I was afraid to order food. I have seen too many of those Bar Rescue shows but the food that came out to others did look and smell good. Get the bottled beer for now but hopefully the owner sees this review and cleans the tap lines. Missing the Star Bar at this point.

This place could be so much more, but it clearly isn’t. I’ve been here a couple of times for a couple of different occasions. First time a group of us went for the karaōke night. The place was pretty filled, but we were able to get a high top. The crowd is what you would expect by the Aurora/Montgomery area… not dogging on the area, well, yeah I am. The price for drinks are all right. They don’t have a big selection on brews, just your standard shopping center«bar» with miller lite… The second time I went was with some friends on a Sunday for a late lunch. It was dead. No one was in the dining area but a couple of drunks up at the bar. I’m referring to the«I’ve been drinking aggressively all by myself and will be loud about how miserable I am» kind of drunks. So that was annoying. There were too many servers working for the crowd that was there, which is funny because service was completely absent on this trip. They have your standard bar & grill food… I got the pulled pork sandwich and creamy chicken & rice soup. The soup was good. I don’t know if was because of my hangover or what, but I ate that shit like it was my last meal. Next was the sandwich. Disappointing. You could tell the pork was cooked in a slow cooker, which isn’t a bad thing, but you’d expect more from a restaurant. The pork wasn’t even cooked long enough because it wasn’t shredded, just chunked. They loaded way too much BBQ sauce, that had no flavor that you couldn’t taste that actual meat. It came with a side of standard fresh from the freezer fries and a pickle. Maybe this place is just good for drinking cheap domestic drafts and I’m sure it would be a blast to watch the Hawks play here… after all the place is named after one. But I won’t be back to fill my stomach with grub.

Forget it if you want a beer. Two of us walked in on a weeknight, and we were completely ignored. Waitress walked past us, and the bartender looked up and walked away. I’m not looking for someone to sit down and tell me their life story or play pattycake, I just want a beer. We left after being ignored and receiving the awkward lack of service.
