Firehouse Subs

The food is always good. I usually get their NY sub or the cheesy beef. Good chili too despite it gave me terrible heartburn. Just my darn GERD disease. Good customer service too. They always welcome you in and say thank you when you leave. They bring the food to your table too so you don’t have to wait at the counter.

Ended up needing to stop for something to eat. It was this or a fast food place right by it. I have to say I was ready to get a subway quality sandwich and to be less than impressed. I have to say I have never been more wrong!
Not only was I unbelievably happy that I found somewhere that does a great sandwich but I also started planning my next trip and since have gotten my sister-​in-​law, my sister and my parents hooked on this place!

This was a toss up between a 2-​star rating and 3-​star rating.
2-​star rating because I was very under-​whelmed by the bland taste of the sandwich; the order-taker’s lack of product knowledge and unprofessionalism; and the staffs’ lackadaisical attitude. The staff seemed more like customers – casually filling up their sodas and hanging out watching sports on TV, instead of addressing the dining room which needed cleaning (dirty tables, food wrappers on floor, chairs not pushed in, food trays left on tables).
3-​star rating because the sandwiches had more meat on them than Subway or Jimmy Johns; the price for Firehouse 8-​inch medium sub was comparable to Subway and Jimmy Johns; and my husband liked that they offer a corned beef and pastrami sandwich.
Frankly, I don’t see much difference between Firehouse, Quiznos and Potbelly.
… and for the record, as of Sunday March 6, 2016 when I asked if they had free Wi-​Fi, the cashier James R. responded, «we do have Wi-​Fi but are NOT allowed to give out the password to customers.» Anyone else confused!!! So, they offer free Wi-​Fi to non-​paying-​customers –or– do they not have free Wi-​Fi!!!

do not ever eat here if you are in a hurry!!! there wasn’t one other person in the place and it took 20 mins to get 4 subs!!! and the hot subs were all cold a soggy and the cold subs were warm and gross and soggy! don’t eat here!

Extremely disappointed! We stopped in for a couple of quick sandwiches after baseball game and it was 40 m. inutes until we both had our food.

I’ve been there few times around lunch time, it’s dead for a reason. Service is lethargic, today the cashier was asking if I want to donate money into something, she sounded like she was half asleep so I’ve declined it since I couldn’t understand what she was saying and she didn’t put any effort into it, sandwich was OK but for $ 10 whatever they call LARGE is not that big, overall I have scraped them off lunch probably forever.

Food is always wonderful, I just wish the people working wouldn’t greet us like they don’t want us there. I feel like I am annoying the employees.

The food was good. Customer service is great. The person at the counter recommended favorites and new specials they had. Also handed us info on the loyalty program they had. He seemed like he was proud of his job and that honestly makes a difference in customer service. For me the attitude of employees can make or break an experience. They also sell mainly hot subs. It’s not my thing but luckily they have a make your own sub option and I was able to customize mine and say if I wanted it toasted or not. The only reason I can’t give five stars is because I asked for it not to be toasted and it was. Not the end but I was a little bummed when I got home to a toasted sub.

How is it possible that a meatball sub would take 15 minutes to make. Especially when your the only person that they are waiting on — crazy!

I absolutely LOVE their sandwiches! They lightly toast the bread and steam the meat and it’s delicious! The sandwich is warm and not burnt, nor is it chewy like Subway sandwiches can get after they «toast» them. Each location has a mural painted on the wall depicting something relevant to that particular city/​town. The store is always clean and neat.

I love this place! The brisket sandwich is delicious and filling. The décor is cute and the kids get fire hats with their meal. We enjoy eating here when we need a change of pace.

Love the place! Nice variation on sub sandwich lunch! Personal favorite is the brisket and cheddar but today I tried the chicken salad and I would have it again! If you are close; give Fire House subs a try.

Tasty sandwiches but a little pricey. I tried to get one of the cheaper subs. The restaurant is immaculate and clean.

Worst ever BMT I have ever had. Too much money, don’t like how I cannot see the guy making my sub I do not know what is doing back there and when I went in there no buddy said hi to me the customer service sucked I got sick

Disappointing experience. The «steamer» sandwich, as depicted on the menu board, sounded like a meatylicious experience. The actual sandwich was unremarkable at best but, limp and funky tasting are how I would really describe it. To top if off, I selected the «boutique» vinegar and salt chips to go with it. This is the first time I’ve ever had these chips where they were stale. Unbelievable. Forgot to mention… the pickle presented on the side could only be described as «sad». It was like that last pickle you pull from the jar of Vlasic pickles. It was limp and kinda desiccated looking.
I am unable to recommend this business.

Excellent quality, took the family was reasonable price for the quality. Fun from machine, the sweet tea was the best I have ever had. Quick and really tasty!

I’ve heard good things about Firehouse Subs and I’ve seen their stores here and there throughout the burbs, but I have yet to try a sammy for myself until recently! Mostly because I’ve been trying to be less of a sandwich gal and more of a salad gal, but eh, what can you do. Sometimes you gotta have a delicious masterpiece between bread!
I had every intention of choosing something off of their 500 calories or less menu (especially because they have a lot of options!), but then my eyes wandered over to the classic menu…
…and I went with the turkey bacon ranch sandwich. My oh my was it delish! I tried to make up for my choice by pairing my sammy with «light chips» and water as opposed to something else. I mean, ya do what you can.
And you do what you want. And I wanted a darn good lunch and Firehouse gave me just that!

Yummy Subs
Had the smokehouse beef brisket & cheddar on wheat which reminds me of the bread you get at the Cheesecake Factory.
The cherry limeade was disgusting
Stick to Sonic for those but my raspberry-​lime coke was awesome!

Love this place for sandwiches!
They have a pulled pork sandwich that comes out every now and then for a limited time and it is one of my favorites there. It’s topped with their coleslaw and I’m not a huge fan of coleslaw but theirs is good. They use the sweet Hawaiian bread which is so soft and compliments the pork perfectly.
My other favorite is the bbq smoked brisket sandwich. The meat is so tender and tasty! I didn’t think sandwiches can be so different among sandwich places, but yup, there is a big difference. Their service is always good and they are very helpful when I was trying to order for catering. Highly recommend!
