I have tried their tortas and tacos, I really did not like the tortas and the tortillas on the tacos are always kind of dry and brittle and really do not care for the brand of tortillas they use, they taste kind of sour, they don’t put enough cilantro and onions in general I don’t like their food.

Best authentic Mexican food in the western suburbs. Also, specifically go to the one on galena.

First time here grabbing a couple items: combo number 1’s which are 3 tacos, rice, beans, & horchata. We thought the tacos were pretty good they come close to los comales. The horchata(sweeten rice water) too sweet and tasted gum base. Not for me next time. The place was clean and staff was nice. This is an affordable close stop for quick and decent Mexican food if your on the westside of Aurora.

I’ve driven past Jalisco no less than a thousand times. We moved nearby a few months ago, and I was beyond excited to learn that it’s within walking distance, which is GOLD to me. The food is fantastic. The Al Pastor tacos are my favorite. The horchata is the BEST. The chips and salsa aren’t complimentary, but you’re going to just have to get over it and get your butt in here anyway. It gets busy in here fast, both with carryout and dine-in customers. The menu is in English and in Spanish, and the employees also speak and understand both. So if your Spanish is no bueno, that’s OK. The outside appears a bit grungy, but it’s very clean and bright inside. Don’t let the bars on the windows on the outside deter you. The neighborhood is perfectly safe!

Soooo good! One of the benefits of living in Aurora. I have passed this place so many times on my way to work but decided to stop last Friday for a late dinner to go. My husband and I were not disappointed. Their asada tacos are extremely tasty and the prices are great. We ordered the #1 last Friday and last night and I am going back for lunch… LOL! Very authentic Mexican food and the service is good.

Of all the years I’ve been in Aurora, I’ve never once had a negative experience with Jaliscos. Their food is good and is made fast, and fresh upon ordering. The only downfall of this location is the parking. It’s parking is parallel to Galena Blvd and Elmwood which makes it hard to enter and exit any parking slots. My go to taco joint.

Good food. Nice staff, even though they do always try to give me lettuce and tomato first. Cilantro and onion please. I am pretty white, so I understand the initial guess. LoL

So, this little place is great! Its very small, almost like whole in the wall. I love coming to this kinds of places because most of the time you’ll be surprised. The food was very delicious and very inexpensive. I ordered the combo #1 which includes 3 tacos, rice and beans. I got stake tacos and orchata. Everything tastes very authentic. The orchata is not too sweet, it’s just very refreshing and the way it’s supposed to be. If you are in the area and want to have the real thing, this is it. I loved it and I’ll be coming here again. Oh! The people here are super nice! Good customer service!

My wife and I stopped here for some lunch Sunday and man, the hard shell chicken taco platter was delicious! If you like deep fried corn shells, and greasy(like me!) this place is for you! The steak tacos were also great, I am definitely a fan of this place

This little place was definitely authentic Mexican food! The location was easy to find and we were glad it was open late on the weekend. When we walked in we were greeted kindly by the employees. My friends and I ordered Ceviche Tostadas, Tacos, Gorditas and a Asada Torta. Everything was delicious that I myself had to go back before leaving town for more Ceviche Tostadas! I will definitely return when I’m back in the Chicago area!

I live pretty close to this place and have gone here multiple times in the last few months. I will admit I have had way better Mexican food before but this place is pretty solid. Good prices and pretty speedy/helpful service. Perfect if you are looking for some greasy food to coat your stomach late at night.

Over the last year, the food quality and service has declined. The food is OK, but not nearly as good as it used to be. In an area with lots of taco places, this is probably a C+. My biggest gripe is that they consistently mess up call in orders– even when you place orders in Spanish. The last few times that I placed order, we have been shorted on items. Because everything is wrapped in aluminum foil, it is an enormous hassle to unpackaged everything to make sure they got it right before leaving. With so many other taco places in the area, I will probably not go back.

I feel like the quality of the meat has gone down. The last few times our beef has had a lot of fatty and inedible pieces and the flavor is lacking. I had been excited to have a taco place near by but I’ve found myself thinking twice before ordering from here cause it’s such a hit or miss now.

Hubby did a machine install at the«Save A Lot,» and the manager of the grocery store recommended this place for lunch. Upon opening the menu, I saw many regular items such as tacos, tortas, burritos, and gorditas. Everything was very reasonably-priced. For examples, the taco is $ 1.40 per piece. A standard Mexican joint will typically charge 1.70 per piece. We ordered a small asada burrito and pastor taco platter. They were portioned nicely for lunch. I tried the horchata hubby ordered. It was well-flavored and didnt contain excessive amount of sugar. Everything was good, but I am picky because of being a foodie Chicago. The service was quite attentive. I know it sounds silly, but I would like to give a shout-out to the ladies’ room: it was super clean and smelled amazing! They even provided the toliet covers. I did not try the condiments for dine-in patrons, nor the people in my party. However, they looked pretty decent. I do not think I personally will come this way. I am too satisfied with what Chicago offers. P. S. When we went to pay for our food, we were charged for the chips and salsa that the friend asked for. They charged $ 1.50 without informing us ahead of time. Normally this item is complementary at any other Mexican joint. Be aware! That was why the two(2) star-review warrants.

I used to love this place. The horchata is still very good, but I would never choose a Mexican restaurant for their horchata. The salsa is very good too — one of the best in Aurora(I’m referring to the salsa that comes with the chips… the free stuff that comes with your meal is average). The steak is awful, and has been on a steady decline over the past two years. There’s always a big hunk of blubber in my tacos/tortas/tostadas… and usually it’s two or three hunks of blubber. The employees are on auto-pilot, and the other west side establishments have surpassed them — La Palapa, Taqueria Muniz, and Taqueria El Tio are all better choices.

The j is pronounced like an h. That’s confusing. Mi amo gringo para siempre. Also whenever I order they always say they want to pinch my merry cones. I know I’m a big dude but I didn’t think my moobs had reached the proportional size to call them cones. All hilarious banter aside the food here is legit. It’s about as close to a Chicago grade taqueria that you will find in the burbs. The lengua tacos are on point. Although I get mine with flour tortilla and cheese. Tacos del gringo para mi. This review might be borderline offensive/awful. Be easy on me it’s been a while since I wrote one of these things and I’m a little rusty. Aren’t you proud that I didn’t end that sentence with trombone ? Ok. Back to the rock I’ve been smo… errrr hiding under.
Stopped in here for a burrito over lunch. Layout is confusing. Do I sit down and get table service or do I order from counter and then sit down. Seemed that people were doing both. Burrito was good, but not great; somewhat of a let down based on reviews here. Parking is an absolute bitch and one reason why I will not be coming back. Overall did not feel this place stood out from the std. Mex shacks all over the area.
