Food is very so-so; has gone downhill over the years. The worst part is the customer service from the owner. We had a coupon that we saved to use for a special dinner with family and they would not honor it. The coupon stated DOESNOTEXPIRE. When the owner saw it, he shook his head and said we won’t accept it anymore. No apologies at all and he didn’t seem to care that we were not pleased as we have been customers for years. We will not return and advise if you want a great meal and good customer service, do not go to Las Hadas.

The buffet was horrible. The chicken tasted two days old, the beef for the tacos was sitting in a pan of grease. The taco shells were stale, you needed a steak knife to cut the burrito. The enchiladas were piled in a pan on top of each other. When we walked in the guy brought the chips and salsa immediately but the waiter stood talking to someone ignoring us. Won’t be back ever.

Man, I love the chili bowl! This place is so good, I’ve been going here for 15+ years, and I’ve been well attended to by the owners, whose children I’ve watched grow up, and now grandkids too, all working in the family business! If you go and Miguel the owner is there, say hi! Hes a super guy!

Worst service I have ever had! My husbands food was hard as a rock I found a hair in my food when I told the waiter her response was«Tell the owner not my problem I dont cook the food» went up to the owner he said yes stuff like that tends to happen when we are busy”. No refund no apology just rude excuses and very defensive. I will never go back.

Best refried beans the world has ever known. Family owned. The ladies used to hold our babies while we were eating. Great lunch buffet also. You must try this place.

We have gone to this place regularly for over a year and it has steadily gone down hill the last few times we’ve been. Last night was the official last time I will give them any business at all. The service was terrible as we had to ask for water four times, food was luke warm and our burrito was missing cheese. When we mentioned it the server brought a bowl of cold cheese and never came back to check on us again until we had decided to stop eating. I got my check and saw they charged me $ 2.25 for a side of cheese which was actually an ingredient they forgot to include with our meals. When we addressed our dissatisfaction with the food and the service they were not receptive at all and refused to take off the charge for the side of cheese. Not only was the food terrible it made my boyfriend and I sick the rest of the night. Just a warning for future possible customers there are much better Mexican places in that area.

Service was slow. The food was like warm. Not to exaggerate but 6 tables that were sat after us had left 20 min before we did. It was like because we sat towards the back our waitress didn’t come by as often. It took way too long. I could not recommend nor would I return.

I’ve been going to Las Hadas for well over a decade. The décor is tacky to say the least and the live music can be a bit overwhelming so I stay away on the weekends, having trumpets blown in my face while I’m trying to eat is not my idea of a good time. Over the last few years the food changed and it isn’t as good as it used to be. The food is just so-so nowadays. The sopapillas are good and you can get margaritas by the pitcher which is why I still go there from time to time.

Amazing customer service and food ! We go here about 1−2x a month and never disappoints! Margaritas are on point and the food is consistent and fresh. They make a point to make sure everything tastes great and you’re pleased with your experience. I would highly recommend ! I personally love their green chile !! Yummy !

If I could give negative stars I would. The service was horrible. The servers were not friendly or helpful at all. My son’s tacos were so soggy we had to ask for extra shells. Food was cold but the plates were hot? We were constantly having to flag someone down to ask for what we needed and by the end of the meal I just got up to get my own boxes which I don’t know why because I’ll just throw the food out. So unhappy with this place then the lady checking us out was like oh well sometimes this stuff happens. Ummm no. Not for $ 50 it doesn’t.

Amazingly friendly staff — and the breakfast burritos are great to grab for an on the go breakfast. The atmosphere is typical«dive Mexican restaurant», but I don’t go for the décor. But it adds to the experience.

Having read several previous reviews I can understand the mixed messages. We dined here at the suggestion of relatives who absolutely love Las Hadas and eat here all of the time. We were warmly greeted by the owners and staff. But my husband, brother and I all had very different experiences. Compared to our relatives who would always give this a 5 star rating. My husband had a beef chimichanga and said it was 4 star. My brother had cheese enchiladas and rated them a 3 star. But my food was awful and 1 star would be too high. I ordered a combo plate with a cheese enchilada, chicken burrito and a crispy chile relleno. My chile relleno had cheddar cheese inside that was very cold and not melted at all. The sauce on top was spicy and tepid in temperature. The chicken burrito was also cold inside and missing the cheese that had been requested. And you guessed it, the cheese enchilada was also cold. I didn’t return my food because I didn’t want to offend the relatives. But this was the worst Mexican food from my perspective.

The chile rellenos are pretty delicious! Fast seating and service. I would definitely come here again. Salsa that’s served with chips is hot… mediocre décor but friendly staff.

Yikes… nothing good to say! Waite. the ice cream was good. That’s about it. The service was awful from the get. Waitress couldn’t understand why we needed an xtra chips in salsa with 7ADULTS. Had to ask multiple times for items before we finally got it. Took 2 hours total and never got offered a refill once! The waiter messed up my husbands order and argued with him about it. I would never EVER come back and definitely do not recommend it!

Well… at least the food is better than Casa Bonita? That’s about the nicest thing I can say about this place, it’s pretty bad. Not the worst I’ve had, but it at least gets an honorable mention in that category. It’s one of those places that gets all the little details wrong. Like most Mexican restaurants, they start you off with chips and salsa, which is to say stale chips and lackluster salsa. It’s not terrible, but it’s by no means good. We ordered a plate of «super» nachos, and then I had the fajitas and my wife had the cheese enchiladas(she LOVES cheese enchiladas… just not these ones). The nachos were also not terrible, but by no means good. Between the pickled jalapenos and the mediocre guacamole, they were so loaded with watery toppings that you couldn’t eat them without a fork. Even if the chips couldn’t support the weight of the toppings, the beans kept everything nicely glued together in a paste that we almost finished. I was pretty hungry, after all. The fajitas hit our table too quickly, but then we had a few minutes before the enchiladas showed up. We were almost the only customers in the place, so I have no idea why the timing was so screwed up. The fajitas themselves were… well, not terrible but by no means good. So at least they’re consistent. The steak was overdone and not all that flavorful, but at least it wasn’t tough. The enchiladas were worse. They were buried under a mountain of unappetizing slop. I think it was beans, rice, and guacamole, but in any event it was the real star of that plate. Anyway, I strongly suggest passing this place up. There’s plenty of better Mexican food in Denver.

Las Hadas, The Fairys in Spanish… maybe that’s how they came up with the décor? Eclipsed in ghastly hideousness only by the guacamole, it looks more like a fairy nightmare, or vomit. The multi-color paint job of orangey salmon on most of the walls, electric lime on the restroom doors, dark watermelon pink and grape medicine purple in the ladies room, is retina searing. Gift wrap ribbon tying sarapes, sombreros, various paintings, and fish replica cover the walls. Fake flowers and various other souvenir shop and flea market finds populate many other spaces. The restaurant looks like a bad impression more than a vibrant and inviting dining area. Maybe it’s a bit harsh, but the décor is really distracting and unappetizing. I almost didn’t go in, despite the neon open sign, the place looked dead. Thank goodness there was no live music(as advertised on the menu)! The menu itself is overcrowded! So many combinations! I wanted enchiladas and guacamole(before I tried it on the nachos, more on that later). There is an option for 3 enchiladas, or one for deluxe enchiladas which includes sour cream and guacamole plus rice and beans. I never eat rice and beans, but this option was cheaper than ordering the enchiladas and a side of guacamole, what sense does that make?!? As alluded to, the food is pretty bad. The salsa was watery. The chips were stale. The nachos were overloaded and soggy, you physically cannot eat them without a fork! My husband’s fajitas came out several minutes before my enchiladas. Unacceptable! The beef was chewy and tasted like teriyaki. My enchiladas were okay. I was shocked to find some avocado in the pale sickly pile that was passed off as guacamole! If eye-sore décor isn’t a problem for you, try the tacos at tacos y salsas on Iliff, if it is, try La Loma in the Highlands.
