Rubio’s

Solid taco place. I usually get the 3-​taco platter, called the coastal trio and it’s always fantastic. Got the cabo plate once and the burrito was so-​so. Let’s be honest, you go here for the fish tacos, and that alone is 5-​star worthy.

So delicious in my belly. I really like this place. The food is fresh, it’s clean, and you can tell its quality product. I don’t eat seafood but my boyfriend says there fish and shrimp tacos are awesome as well. So there’s that.

I have never heard of this place so I took a chance and what a great decision. I went there on Tuesday which happen to be $ 1.50 fish tacos. I ordered three and the old ball and chain ordered a chicken quesadilla. The quesadilla was pretty good; the chicken was most, the cheese melty, and the shell crisp.
The fish tacos were ridiculously good. The fish was crispy and didn’t have that weird fishy taste you get with most restaurants. The special sauce was very tasty and the hot salsa I added was just the right touch.
The service was good and the Taco Tuesday price fair. I will definitely be going back!

Thank you Rubio’s for being so close and giving me another clean, healthy Mexican option instead of the tired Chipotle burritos.
I love this location and the people here are awesome. They are always courteous, attentive and provide great customer service. The service is a little slow, and worse when it’s busy but I always feel like my food is freshly made and their mahi-​mahi and shrimp tacos are addictive.

This is now my Tuesday night stop. 1.50 original fish taco’s after 2:30 on Tuesday. Normally they are 2.69.
I was in and out in about 10 mins with my dinner in hand and ready to head home for some serious relaxation. The fish is crispy and the sauce they put on standard isn’t over powering. I added a bit of onion cilantro mix from the salsa bar and a little of the mild red as well.
Things are fresh and regularly fast. The patio is decent size as well. You can even have an adult beverage if you choose.

This was our first time to try Rubio’s. We had avoided it for several years because our daughter had tried it and reported back that it wasn’t very good. This was the last time we took her opinion on food!
Three of us placed an order for take-​out; my husband ordered the Cabo Plate and I had the Original Fish Tacos. Despite the fact that this is part of a chain, we found our food to be quite tasty. the veggies (toppings and garnish) were fresh and crisp, and the food was very good. When we ordered, I thought the price was a little high, but after receiving our order I felt it was justified. The portions were generous and the food, quite good.
I’m giving four stars. It was very good, but nothing exceeded my expectations — to me, that’s what earns the coveted fifth star. I’ll absolutely be returning. Who knows? Maybe that star is waiting on my next visit!?!

This was my first visit to a Rubio’s and let me tell you I will be searching them out from now on! I had the original fish taco and it was delicious!!! The sauce on their tacos is the all to rare cream based sauce. It was more like a coleslaw sauce than the all too familiar pico or other cilantro based stuff. I HATE CILANTRO so it was a very nice surprise for me.

20 minutes for a burrito. Prep station looked like war zone. Disgusting.
Fire the manager with a nose ring. She sits in the back all day while the ship sinks.

Who knew you were supposed to get fish tacos when you go here? Well given limited directions, I picked up some steak street tacos and some regular chicken tacos. All in all, they were decent. Not the best, not the worst. Couldn’t say I’d go back left to my own devices but since I didn’t get the fish tacos I’m sure I’ll be back at least one more time.
The prices seem high to me… $ 17 for 3 street and 3 regular tacos.

Still the best fish tacos I’ve had, and I used to live in San Diego (still visit a few times a year) and have had fresh fish tacos from little taco shops around, Rubio’s is still number 1 for me. I was glad I found this place when I first moved to Denver, it is probably the only place I will go for Mexican style seafood because they keep everything tasting very fresh and light (to me anyway). I also like the shrimp burritos, very filling and full of flavor.
I love their sauces other condiments at the sauce bar, I will usually just add about everything and switch sauces with every bite (I know some people might think that is gross but hey, variety is the spice of life right? not the case with relationships because that might spice something else and it won’t be the good burn either).
Staff is friendly, clean environment, they might want to see about emptying the trash cans a little more often though because those seem to fill up fast. This is above this specific chain, but I wish they would add options for sides instead of just beans all the time. maybe a salad, slaw, or something would be better.

The staff is always great here, super helpful and polite. The food is always great very fresh and super yummy. I have never had a not great experience here.

This location is managed very well. My friend and I walked into Rubio’s for the first time ever and we thought it was taking quite a while for our food. Before we knew it the manager came out with a refund and coupons and let us know our food would be out shortly. He was very polite, professional, and courteous. I’m definitely coming back again and he earned many recommendations to this store from me.

I always enjoy dinning at Rubio’s fresh Mexican grill. My wife and I had the shrimp enchiladas. They were the bomb!!. Unfortunately it was a late dinner so we arrived close to closing time. I was turned off by one of your female workers tonight. your worker was out in the dinning room sweeping something fierce. the direction of her broom was going toward our table. may I add that my wife was still eating her dinner. I will return. I would appreciate it if you would inform your workers to be more conscience around dinning guests.

It’s my 4^th or 5^th visits within last 6 month and experience has been nothing but super positive for this location. I have signed up for their email and already got free taco offer and also ½ birthday BOGO burrito offer which I have redeemed. So far I have tried their
1. Fish taco plates — VG.
2. Burrito plates– feels like healthy alternative to Chipotle.
3. Cerveza (Pacifico, Modelo). Nice and cold and have plenty of limes as standby.
4. Salsa bars (always clean and well stocked)
5. $ 1.50 fish taco Tuesday special (after 2:30 pm). It’s busy Tuesday night.
All of the workers are very friendly and courteous. I have witnessed manager addressing few of the people by their names.
For a fast food joints, definitely rank solid 5 stars and some more. It’s the gem in this hood.

This place is great! Not only is the food awesome but the manager (Dane?) Goes out of his way to make you feel important! Not the first time we’ve been here and definitely not the last :)

Ho hum at best, the communal salsa bar is a breeding ground for the flu.
When they first opened it was new and different.
Fresh mex… Nope… Lost beach comber now, these days…
It had it’s moment… but not so much now.
Limited parking, limited menu and kinda blaaaaa.

I love the fish tacos at Rubios! Don’t forget to get a brownie. My wife craves them and sometimes we stop there just for the brownies.

I love the vibe here! This restaurant is like the lighter, beachy side of Chipotle. Prices are about the same, but you can go cheaper with a la carte. Very clean, friendly and fresh! Good variety of seafood tacos, burritos, and sauces.
For those of you looking for a salad that fits your diet, check out the Balsamic & Roasted Veggie Salad. There was so much flavor and it was surprisingly sweet. It tasted like it was fresh off the grill.

I received an internet coupon for my half birthday for a BOGO burrito. The cashier handed us a vibrating pager but it never went off. A gal brought us the food, but did not pick up the pager.
My husband ordered the Blackened Mahi Mahi burrito and my stepdaughter ordered the Blackened Salmon burrito. They liked both of them.
I ordered the $ 1.50 Original Fish Tacos since it was Tuesday evening. The corn tortilla was hard and not warmed up. It only had a red sauce and no white sauce. The fish was a generous portion and was crisp. It tasted different from usual and wasn’t that good this time.

Oooooooo super delicious! My cousin and I came in on a Saturday afternoon for a quick Mexican lunch. We hadn’t been before and were impressed upon first entering. The décor is lovely and beachy, but not kitschy.
For the menu, I loved all of the seafood options! And that there aren’t any pork options! I don’t eat pork and am always weary that some is going to end up in my food. Anyhoo, I ordered the Cabo Combo plate so I could get a taste of their famous fish tacos and enjoy some shrimp as well. My cousin got the mahi-​mahi taco platter.
The salsa bar is fantastic and I like how the tastes are outlined below the name. I enjoyed the salsa verde the most. My platter arrived shortly after ordering and was a loooot of food. The fish taco was very fresh and all ingredients together were delicious! The salsa used in the shrimp burrito was a bit spicier than my liking, but it was also delicious. Both were served with a side of beans (also a tad spicy) and some tortilla chips. I had to take half of my meal home but overall it was fabulous!
I will definitely be back and greatly enjoyed both the food and service at this location!
