Weve been here many times as a group. Always enjoy the pizza. Never had had a problem here. Service is generally adequate. Food is always good. Drinks are good. I do think the prices are a bit on the high side. Did carryout last night as I am working OT lately but the wife was with a family group. Pizza was fine as always. Regarding the bar, We’ve never been in the bar, always on the restaurant side with no problems so I cant comment on those issues but I will say the area that the restaurant is located is near an area in Aurora that has a fair amount of poverty, so maybe thats a minor contributor along w/alcohol. Dont know. Anyway, I do recommend the food & the restaurant.

½ price pizza Tuesday was a pleasant surprise. came in to watch the Hawks and have some pizza bc the Yorkville location is yukky. anyway: entryway reeked of cigarettes but once through the doors, the smell of pizza happened. And it was lovely no coke products. A Captain and Pepsi just aint the same, especially when regular rum is used!!! being Fat Tuesday, we were hoping for a nice Hurricane. our server had absolutely NOIDEA what it was and came back to tell us «no hurricanes». a few minutes later I heard the bartender tell server she didnt have the ingredients for a hurricane. pizza: looked good, smelled good. tasted — meh. too much cornmeal on bottom, the crust was thin and well cooked but it had no flavor. the pizza toppings were so sparse that I actually forgot we even had bacon on it. im glad it was ½ price. I’d give it another try. maybe bring my own Coca-Cola.

I was totally turned off from this place from the moment we walked in. The place smelled foul, like vomit, must and cigarettes. First we were in the dinning area which smelled like some was smoking inside. Some of the burgers at the table looked okay. But the soup I had smelled/looked/tasted disgusting. The boyfriend’s pizza also smelled rank and was barely edible. Later we moved over to the bar area for karaōke. This was slightly better hence the one star. I could not get past the foul smell and disgusting food.

Service always is slow and never get refills on time. Only gave 3 stars because the food keeps bringing me back

This is our second visit here in the past 3 days. Their food is very, very good ! We stopped back by tonight for pizza and beer. Hard to believe that a bar could run out of Budwiser Draft Beer but this place did before 7:00 pm. I asked to speak with the manager, who doesn’t have a clue about how to deal with a customer. I was eating hot pizza with crusted peppers on it which was hot. The waitress first told me they needed a few minutes to change the keg. She then came back and told me they were completely out of draft Budwiser. Now I am not a rocket scientist but I think the waitress should have offered me a substitute beer for the same price. Guest what, that never happened. I asked to speak with the manager and she made her way over to our table. No explained the situation to her and attempted to provide her with some feedback about maybe offering another beer for the same price since they ran out but her body language and her words told me that she really wasn’t interested in making me a happy customer as I was walking out the door. So now I have paid my bill and sitting here sweating due to the hot pepper on the pizza. So my recommendation is for the manager of this place to learn how to deal with customers! The only reason that I will consider coming back is the quality of their food. Customer service is not a key factor to this manager.

The first thing that hit us when we walked in was the overpowering smell of vomit. Then as you enter in further you smell the bleach used to clean the commit up. I ordered a mug beer and it was cold and great. However, my wife ordered Coke and jack, one of our friends asked for a Bacardi and Coke, the other asked for red bull and tito’s. They do not offer Coke, only Pepsi, so the taste is way off. The waitress then suggested instead of Coke since they only Had Pepsi products, to try Dr Pepper with it instead. Neither my wife or my buddy could even take more than a couple of sips. As for the tito’s and red bull, due to only having Pepsi they only had monster, and it wasn’t tito’s that she drank. As we were sitting down the manager started moving most of the tables and chairs around us. At one point he knocked one over that hit the back of one of my friends chairs. He then knocked into my wife while moving other chairs. He did apologize but we didn’t understand why this couldn’t wait or he couldn’t do this a different way. The waitress was really nice be had no knowledge of alcohol to flavors in general. She may have been new and the manager was not helping her much with suggestions. He agreed to using Dr Pepper in the mixed drinks. The drinks also came out in little miniature tall glasses which was odd. We will not be going back, which is sad because it is so close.

The food is generally good but it never comes out of the kitchen correct. I have ordered the same thing about 6 times and only once has it been right. I feel this is the chef not the waitresses, however the service is very slow also. You have to hunt down a waitress to get anything and it takes a while for them to get it to you. There are some that are better than others but for the most part they are very slow. Luckily even when they screw up my order what I end up with tastes good even if it’s not what I was craving bc the staff isn’t great about checking back to make sure everything is ok and correcting the errors. Management seems to do their best to pick up slack where they can but overall their service needs an overhaul. Oh and the entryway smells really bad everytime I’ve been there!

Came here after a eventful morning shopping at the outlet mall. Glad we did! Awesome portion sizes. Great bar and grill food. Cod was delicious. Cheese curds were delicious. Everything we had was delicious. We live sort of far away, but we’d definitely stop by again after a day of shopping!

Had this pizza for the first time recently! Went there for my sisters birthday. Service was really good and one of the managers really took the time to check on our large party. We ordered cheese and sausage double dough pizza. It was really really good! If you like cheese and dough, this is your pizza! Cheese sticks were also great. We will definitely be going back. And they have a ton of TV’s for football Sunday.

Within the last month, they decided to change their delivery zones. After 3 years, we are no longer included. Very disappointing. With the exception of 2 servers, the staff has gone absolutely downhill. Our last visit in was the worst. Our food arrived with our soup and salad. Our server was clueless that it was even a problem. I feel like a jerk for sticking by them through the last 3 years – even after getting a piece of leftover pizza(with a bite out of it!) instead of a salad. I’m done.

I don’t know what it about this place and me but I’ve been here a handful of times. The first time was with friends for a pizza party. The server was slow she barely checked on us for drinks(food was good don’t get me wrong but took forever) so after 30 min i asked her to bring us some pitchers of pop cause i was done trying to chase her down to refill someone’s drink at my table and it wasn’t a busy night(by that i mean it was my table 7 people and another table 5 people in the whole place) then i drew the last straw when i was at the bar area and when it was time to leave(closing time) the server comes back with my card cracked and she only gave me a dirty look and said I’m the manager at the time with some bs excuse. Don’t get me wrong i got it replace but just own up to your mistake. But these are my experiences might not be like yours but good for you i guess. Thanks if read this.

I love this place. I have been here over 30 times and have always had a good meal no matter what I order. The staff is always on point especially the girls bartending… Kate is the best. But by far the pizza is the best come every Tuesday for half price za. Can’t beat it tons of hd tvs and tons of room to have a good time.

I am gluten free and I always have to try different food items to see which one is actually the best tasting one or that tastes as close to «normal» as possible. And let me tell you, this place has the best gluten free pizza I have ever had. I never would have even guessed that a bar & grill would carry GF pizza but I’m so glad someone told me about it. Not only does it have a delicious taste but it also did not make me sick. Needless to say, this is my new go-to place for gluten free pizza. :)

Worst bar in Aurora. Play music and they don’t like it? They’ll skip it and fuck you. This shit smelling place sucks. Crap food. Shit service. You’re just a buck to them. Drive by and skip this place you’re better off. Been coming here on and off for years as this is the only place in the area. After tonight I’ll be finding somewhere else to spend my money.

Great place to watch the Hawks game with a good crowd and a nice atmosphere. Beer selection is okay there’s a couple of good surprises there! This is your classic sports bar with screens everywhere but feels like a family restaurant with plenty of seating.

They’ve spruced this place up a bit over the past several years. For the part of town it’s in, the crowd is generally good. The service is good and people are generally friendly. The bar food isn’t bad. Nice place to stop after work to unwind.

Solid za place and more, so much more! Located on busy Farnsworth avenue you could drive past this place and easily miss it. Don’t do that cuz you would miss out on some great pizza and other unhealthy but so darn good food. We found out about this place a few years ago when we attended a swim team party for our daughter. Big parking lot and the restie itself is large with a bar and separate dining room. The za is traditional chicago style thin crust cut into squares. Don’t hate ny pizza snobs! My hubs ordered their fried fish bites a while back and dug them. Go figure… fried fish bites at a Midwest pizza place but that is hoe he rolls. Great place for large group parties and the local bands they have are fun with a decent sized stage. So yeah, I adore this old school pizza place. These types of places is what life in the Midwest is all about. Plus, who doesn’t love the simple name of the two owners?! Don’t change a thing Mike and Denise… you have it going on!

I just went to Mike & Denis’s for the first time to attend a 50th birthday party… what a great find. I never saw so many TV’s in one sports bar before so this is a good place to watch a game. There is a roomy area in the bar for large groups or parties and pool tables nearby. The service was quick and very friendly. I was equally impressed with the pizza — great crust — crispy with a hint of cornmeal. Generous toppings with gooey cheese and flavorful sausage. The tossed salad was excellent too. The buffet they ordered for the party also included chicken wings which I didn’t try but everyone was raving about. This place is a bit out of my neighborhood but the food was good enough to make it worth the trip.

Very surprised by this place, considering we’d been avoiding it due to the general«meh» vibe that a lot of the Unilocal reviews seem to have. Well, I’ve found my new bar and pizza place of choice in the area, I only wish I had come here sooner! I absolutely LOVE that they’ve got totally separate sides between the restaurant and the bar. Nothing ruins a dinner for me like screaming children, and it’s fantastic to have a no kids zone. Beer selection was great, the menu was huge, and the wait staff was friendly and attentive. We were there during a Blackhawks playoff game when the place was PACKED, so if we get good service then, I feel like we’ll get good service any other night of the week, yeah? We wanted the fried pickles, but they were out of them. No big deal, they suggested the fried cheese cubes as an alternative and holy cow were they good. From there we moved on to a thin crust italian beef and giardiniera pizza(Which I think they called the Cheesy Beef or something similar.) and WOW was it good. Perfect crust, right amount of sauce, great cheese, etc. I’ve totally found my pizza place of choice in the area. Definitely will be back, hopefully when it’s nice enough out to sit outside… As they’ve even got TV’s out there. One thing though: Mike and/or Denise– Get your projectors adjusted properly! They were all in focus so we could see the game fine, but they couldn’t be aligned to the screens more poorly. Admittedly this is the supreme nitpick of all nitpicks, but still. Hell, I’d do it for some free beers. It’s not hard… Just time consuming! – August 2014 Update: We’ve been going here a bunch, particularly on Tuesdays where pizza is half off and domestic bottles are $ 2.50(a killer deal all around) and have been sitting outside enjoying the weather. I wish they’d do something different with smokers, as the outdoor patio is pretty much accepted as the«smoking section.» We were there once when they asked someone to not smoke out there, and he just went out the front doors and essentially stood on the other side of the fence instead, making no effective difference whether he was smoking sitting at a table in the patio area or standing three feet away on the sidewalk. It sucks that you have to choose between their awesome patio area or indoors if you actually want to eat without being smoked out.
