Sorry people, I dont share the same sentiments for this grocer. When we were there, it was one of those evenings. Perhaps it was a long day for them. Right when we enter this store, one of the staff, was fast asleep at the register counter. The other person was doing some inventory or something, trying to wake up that other person. We went aisle by aisle to check out what there is in this store. I was disppointed. One due to the pricing aka OVER-PRICED. Two, was again another pet peeve, finding some items EXPIRED. Three, another pet peeve, was their refrigeratored/freezer section. Perhaps they want to cut cost, so they purchased the Normal Freezer WhiteBox. I know they printed out the list of things found in the Freezer, but the list was so lengthy and this made my trip to this grocer short. *SIGH* I like and prefer those freezer that I can see the items from outside without opening the freezer.
Managed to get 2 items from this store since I need it urgently for my cooking needs that evening.

When I first walked in, my immediate thought was that Sathvik Foods is some kind of front. I’ve been to quite a few Indian groceries before, and they’re almost always small and bare-bones, but this place definitely takes the cake for least effort put into appearances. A small store in a strip mall, dinged up refrigerators line one wall, and the rest is stacks of spices and rice and other typical goodies. There was one guy sitting at a folding table working on a laptop at the front of the store. I found the fenugreek I was looking for right away, it was nice and cheap(same with the other spices I looked at). There weren’t any off smells and it was clean and bright. I paid in cash; there was no register and laptop guy had to open up new coin rolls to give me change(out of a tiny cash box). It all seemed a little surreal, but I’ll be back for any uncommon spices. I just hope I don’t accidentally try to buy a $ 2000 bag of «special» flour.
