I am new to the area and I was very excited to hopefully have a good Mexican restaurant in the area. I was very dissappointed with my visit. I came with another friend and we were sat near the bar but were ignored for a good 10 min. Finally the waiter came to take our order but he seemed annoyed to have to wait on us. He was super nice to the other tables next to us. Didn’t get a single refill. The food was ok at best. Even la parilla kills this place. To top it all off while I was waiting for the check I met a nice little friend crawling across the window. A cockroach… Will not be returning.

Ok well on the way to work on cinco de mayo I decided to grab a couple margaritas with my boyfriend. He said he had a bad experience here but he decided to give it another shot. When we entered it was hot. Need to crank up that ac. To the left was the dine in area and to the right was the buffet side. After waiting about 5 minutes with no one in site a hostess appeared and seated us. We decided to go to the buffet side even though we were just ordering drinks and nachos. After 5 minutes we were finally greeted. So the margaritas. Typical mix margs. C’mon this isn’t Atlanta or Buckhead where they are actually made. The nachos. Awesome! The steak was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Downside… Service is horrible!!! I’ve been a waitress and I know the protocols. There was no check back. No water offered. After we ate we waited for 15minutes to get the waiter(after asking another waiter) for the check. Would come back if the service didn’t suck!

Ive been here 1,000 times. This is officially my favorite Mex spot for me and the beau to eat. I told him to take me here for Vday. We had a blast. My fajita was a little rushed but everything else was just right. You really cant go wrong with Mexican cuisine. Bummer that didnt have any certs for this place at the time. Oh well. Well worth the full price, which is still very reasonable.

This is good, cheap, Mexican food. I came here w/a friend around 1 this afternoon for cheap drinks and lunch. We were going to order off the menu, but the waiter told us the buffet would only be $ 6 and change, so my friend and I agreed to the buffet. It had quite a few things to choose from. Nothing strange at all, and by that, I mean I could pronounce everything. =) tacos with beef, shredded chicken, refried beans, rice, tortilla bowls, etc. Everything was tasty EXCEPT for these small, skinny taquitos that were hard and appeared to not have been a fave of everybody’s, being that there were so many left. I’ll take the hint next time. My ONLY gripe: Where’s dessert? Those tortilla chips with cinnamon/sugar sprinkled on top wasn’t cuttin’ it. Other than that, it was cool. I’ll be back.

This review is about a month late, but I am still trying to scrape off the bad taste from my tongue. Went here for a little early dinner get together. The restaurant was pretty deserted which was nice because we had the server’s full attention. The group consisted of 8 adults and 4 kids and we opted for the buffet since we didn’t want to spend time looking over the menu. I went up to the buffet and it was seriously like maybe 4 entrée options, and 3 side choices(rice, cold black beans or refried beans). I stuck with eating a shrimp dish and a few tacos and chicken wings. The food was not refilled quickly and what was left on the buffet was cold and disgusting looking. I also ordered a margarita and it was hands down the most watered drink i have ever had. I should have stuck to my instincts and ordered something in a bottle– at least that way they couldn’t mess it up. The only good thing about the whole meal was a) seeing my friends and b) leaving this dump. If I wanted cold, disgusting mexican food I’ll just save the money and go dumpster diving behind a taco bell.

Of all the Mexican-American places I’ve tried, this was the most authentic Mexican place. It was not crowded when I went for lunch on a weekend but I’m glad I went on in and ordered. The salsa and chips were great — I like cilantro. There is not much to the décor here but the outdoor seating looked nice. My husband and I both enjoyed the dishes we ordered, although, I cannot remember the names. We will be back!

seriously, don’t listen to the haters, I haven’t had ONE sub-par experience here. if you’re close by, definitely check lalo’s out. hell even if you’re far away it’s worth the drive! service is fantastic, food is delicious and prices are reasonable. anyone who had a bad experience should give them another try, after reading your reviews i’m just shocked! anytime we go, we’re treated like family, the staff is extremely nice and accommodating. by far my favorite mexican food in ALL of the atlanta area!

Dont go there unless you want cold food. I ordered off the menu, steak burrito and a side order of black beans. Beans were cold. Waiter didnt believe me. My husband stuck his finger in it to show him. Also had a margarita on the rocks… watery. Only«good» thing is that they have a patio. This place won’t get my business.

I give this place 4 stars based on the fact that I never eat the buffet. out of the handful of times I’ve been here, I can’t think of one instance in which my group HASN’T been the only people in the restaurant. I’m picky about my buffets, and I don’t trust a buffet in an empty restaurant. that being said, I really like coming here for lunch during the week. I’ve stumbled upon really good margarita specials(and pretty good margaritas) on accident, and everything I’ve ordered off the menu has been freshly prepared and pretty tasty.

I completely regret walking in the door here. Our visit started by finding a hair in the excessively cilantro laden salsa. The evening continued with the delightful aroma of burning plastic. We were told there was an electrician in the next room. Um ooookay. Finally our food arrived. I had ordered the poblanos plate. I was not told this was soup. I mean, it wasn’t supposed to be soup, but the insane amount of grease made it soup. I have never in my life sent back a dish and declined to reorder. This was a justifiable first. At one point I joked with my girlfriend about walking over to Taco Bell to get some«real» Mexican food. I think I’ll pass on this food abortion next time.

I was recommended this place by a co worker. they have a buffet as well as regular menu. I ate from the buffet. the food was really good. I do think 2 of the dishes though could have been a little warmer. not too many mexican restaurants have buffets. this was nice to find. my total bill was just under 10 W/O tip
