FANTASTIC! I have had chinese food in several cities and countries. A & A Sichuan is among the very best anywhere. Top quality aside, it has several interesting features. For example, in addition to providing the usual, often meaningless, written description of their dishes, AA Sichuan shows true to actual size photos of their dishes, in the reception area. So, I could pretty much see what I was going to eat. And eat I did OMG! I am often hungry when I leave some chinese restaurants. However, from A A Sichuan I even went home with enough great food for the next day. My date and I enter the restaurant, and as I look around to survey the simple/elegant Chinese motif, I note that AA Sichuan is graced by 15 – 20 patrons, two-thirds of them CHINESE. That’s nearly always a good sign of outstanding chinese dishes and indeed, good food came my way! Don’t be thrown off by silly things, such as a lack of alcohol, having to get your own tea, or a reference to your preference for innards in a stew(throughout much of the world, a sign of this ingredient– that I personally declined– indicates Granny/gourmet cuisine). You don’t have to eat what you don’t want. In fact, the kitchen is open to reasonable change suggestions in the menu and particular dishes. I had the feeling that the chief was amenable to «cooking to order.» A bonus: a beauty of a hostess who speaks just enough English to be very charming. «Try it, you’ll like it.» There is none better or as good and as inexpensive/affordable.
