A very nice small park. No one but me finds it amusing that there is a street and a park here in Austin called HempHill. I have certainly smelled hemp in both places. I suspect when they were named that popular plant was not used as it is now.

What a super cute little park! You know, I’ve parked around this park so many times without realizing that it was, well, actually a park. I met up with some friends who got engaged a few years back on the foot bridge over the creek on the Adams side. The grounds were very nice for a picnic. They only have a swing set and a basketball court in the area where we were. There was a heck of a lot of grass space, though. While there is a ton of open space, there is also a great deal of shade and good climbing trees. This makes up for the lack of playground area as my friend brought her 2 year old with her. Definitely a park for students or young adults wanting to enjoy a little outdoors. Saw a dog walker or two. I’d recommend a different park if you’re looking for an actual playground for your kids like Pease or Zilker– but otherwise it is a good park — especially when you use your information and find those good climbing trees. I’d like to be back for a picnic.

Nice place to play a game of softball or kickball. We went out there one time with around twenty people, a keg and red cups. Worked out great. Its a little tough in the outfield, the ground is covered in large chips of bark so you slip around alot. There are a few bald spots but its still kind of annoying. For the same reason its kind of hard to play frisbee. But you can make it work and its still quite fun. Its hard to complain about the outdoor space so close to campus. This park can feel kind of creepy, at times it feels like people are living there but its easy enough to ignore. They have events out there every once in a while with little booths and stuff selling art and craft goods. Live music and stuff. Cool place.

This park is random Randomly located behind some fraternity like houses and this weird and random looking school type thing It is randomly only a block or two big Randomly made up of a pseudo softball field, some random picnic tables, and a random swing set. But it is a nice little spot for a break before you walk on over to Trudy’s or something else like that nearby. I love parks, and this one I could just see myself napping in, especially since there were so few people in it!

Adams-Hemphill Park is somewhat hidden behind 30th st — walking distance from neighboring Trudy’s, Spiderhouse, and UT. They have a softball field, full basketball court, 1 adult and 1 child set of swings. If you’re looking for a game of basketball, you’re likely be able to jump into a game here at almost any hour. It’s also popular for dog walking, frisbee, kite flying, and even a little sunbathing. Parking shouldn’t be a problem anywhere along 30th st — but during school hours it can be a problem.
