Alamo Rent A Car

I had no issues with rental. Return of the vehicle was easy. Made my first time renting a car pleasant and effortless. Would recommend Alamo at Austin airport to others.

Quick, fast service! In and out and the rates were great!

Very smooth process. Booked a car online while standing at the baggage claim. Walked to the rental car center and printed my agreement at the Alamo kiosk. From there, I walked outside and was able to choose my car. The entire process (booking to driving out of the garage) probably took about 15 minutes.

Great service. Great vehicle. They were out of compacts so they upgraded us to a very nice Mazda 6 for the same price. No problem with the vehicle and easy returns. I also would like to thank Alamo for letting me know I left my phone in the car and returning it to me via FEDEX. I have had some pretty bad rental experiences with other agencies but Alamo was spot on and I would highly recommend them at the Austin airport.

Nobody tried to push me to purchase any insurance. The extra hours I pre-​paid were refunded as I didn’t use them
The clerk was nice, friendly and efficient (and he could speak French!)
No line, fast service.

Awesome experience. Really helpful. Extremely quick. Everything went real smooth and fast at pickup and dropoff. We arrived late due to airline delays, and they were willing to stay open a bit later than 12 midnight to accommodate.

I never review rental car agencies but DAMN this place was awesome. I picked Alamo because I was in Texas and wanted to remember the Alamo, so happy I did! Quick service, first counter at the door, clean, fast, and they let you pick your own rental! Returns were just as easy, and they aren’t very anal. Price is competitive with the other agencies, just rent here, pay the same and get better service!

Alamo was easy to get to and the staff was friendly and helpful. They upgraded my vehicle to an SUV and even wrote down restaurants and hot spots to visit in Austin! I will definitely rent from Alamo again.

good customer service; good choice of vehicles; one suggestion for the new rental vehicle location in Austin; it is a bit of a hike from the terminal to the rental counters; especially with luggage; some type of shuttle vehicle may be in order. F K Bird Cody, Wy.

A hassle free experience from pick up to return especially if you’ve done the early online check in. When the whole new rental facility is completed, I am sure service will be even better. My only gripe had nothing to do with Alamo. Rather it was the confusing lane signage when you return your car to the Austin airport. Beware as you may end up in the long term parking lot as quite a number of car renters do. Otherwise, I highly recommend this Alamo facility. BTW, I have had good experiences at other Alamo facilities as well.

Had a very good experience! The new rental car facility was huge and nice. Due to the busy weekend, check in was bit slow with only 2 agents. Return was easy plus fill your own gasoline was right outside the airport exit. Had a compact car, was clean and had very low mileage.

I’m actually surprised what a painless experience this was.
I even showed up early to both pick up and drop off and these guys were super accommodating.

I’ve read nothing but nightmare reviews on car rentals in general
and was preparing myself for the worst, but this wasn’t bad at all!
I booked and checked in about a week ahead of my trip
and apart from talking to a very pleasant counter attendant inside the airport,
I almost had no human interaction
(if that’s what you’re into. And I am. I like to deal with not-​people.)
I was running a bit late to the airport on the way back
and was worried that there would be some elaborate return process,
but that was not the case.
I was directed to pull into a spot,
a man scanned a few barcodes on the car
and then handed me a receipt.
That was it.
That was all that happened.
After this experience, I’m probably always going to look for an Alamo rental in the future.
They even have coupons, so dig a little bit for a few bucks off your rental.

So I left a personal item in the car and no one will answer the phone at the rental car counter. I get diverted straight to voicemail and perhaps, according to the nice man in India who answered the 1 – 800 number, in 2 business days someone might call me back. There is no other way to reach someone at the airport other than driving out there. This is not a good system!

Thanks to shitty Frontier Airlines complete lack of giving a shit. I had to make last minute one way rental to SanAntonio to make a flight to keep my trip half way intact. Alamo Austin and Alamo SanAntonio customer service top notch!!! I already had reservations for Alamo in Denver before the Frontier ass f’ng sobI called local and it was great. Once I n Denver with original reservations, the same! Outstanding customer service!!!

Fabulous service from the moment I arrived until I returned the vehicle. Staff was awesome, professional, & efficient. Also offered the best price compared to other companies @ the airport. Would highly recommend to others & would book with them again myself.

It is really hard to find rental car companies that won’t cheat you and trick you in spending more than you had intended like Budget does. But I think Alamo is by far the best and most trusted rental car agency. They have reasonable rental rates, they have the car you reserve, you have the option to choose which car you’d like, and the ease of checking in and checking out is great! I’d strongly suggest choosing Alamo. If most of the reviews here are positive, that should tell you a thing or two. I intend to use Alamo for the future and have the assurance that I am saving money and getting great service!

Just got off the phone with Tiffany operator number 359np she was awesome she answered all my questions helped me with a reservation got me a better rate than the competition I previously booked with I’m so glad I made the call keep up the good work Tiffany and keep up the good work Alamo. Update got my car all is swell thank you.

rental car companies are either just about perfect or awful. This one particlular Alamo at the airport in Austin Tx is amazing.
Super nice service, clean cars, friendly… everybody, even the customers seemed nice. Everything that you want in a car rental company.
