Worst Cuban sandwich I have ever had. And I was hammered !

I walked around for hours at sxsw trying to find the perfect spot, only to be disappointed. The girl taking my order was so rude. I asked a question about the special patty melt, and the she acted so annoyed. I ended up getting the melt, and I asked if a side came with it and got a rude sarcastic(no) head shake. That head shake came a few more time during my order. Anyways, I was happy to see my food was ready promptly, until I looked at it. The melt was thrown together very sloppyish and it didn’t match the description on the menu… Didn’t say anything, just ate it, but I really wish I would have spent those $ 8 somewhere else.

I wish I could give All Day Bodega a five star review. I had an awesome bacon bbq patty melt that really hit the spot. Plus it’s bacon! ‘Nuff said! Additionally, the guy taking the orders was really friendly. I love me some friendly service. However, waiting 45 minutes for this patty melt with only a handful of people(and I literally mean 5 people) in front of me, was not the business. Coming from LA where the food truck scene is thriving, this was completely unacceptable. Bodega would NEVER survive in LA with this sluggish assembly line. Especially if it went up against the likes of Kogi and the Buttermilk of Lobsta trucks. You guys gotta do something about this! People kept getting in line, and after waiting for about 10 minutes and the line not moving, they just moved on to Shorty’s instead. I held on though, cause I had faith in this patty, which like I mentioned, turned out to be great, but it wasn’t worth the 45 minute wait. This was not a sit down restaurant! I love to see a good business thrive, and Bodega definitely has potential. They have to do something about that assembly line though. They’re missing out on customers, and customers are missing out on these awesome patty melts. I’m only in town for ACL, so it’s safe to say I won’t be returning anytime soon, but I’d love to hear in the future that Bodega has it together. Till then, if you’re looking for something fast, this is not the place. Come here if you have tons of time to kill, and don’t mind standing around for 40+ minutes waiting for a bite.

Not sure what Summer R is talking about, but I’m with Beverly W. The tacos are great and suprisingly healthy when you get them on the wheat tortilla, full of veggies if you want. However, the piece-de-resistance is the PATTYMELT!!! OMG!!! the best EVER! I had to order a second. I don’t know if it’s the lean beef, the buttery texas toast or the way both slices of cheese melt onto each piece of bread, but maaaann hold up! It was definitely worth coming back for especially after a late night club. Plus there is a cute set of patio furniture for you to sit down and eat. Very nice compliment when your feet hurt… Ladies, you know what I mean.

The tortillas are not homemade as the photos state. The food is nothing special, frozen chicken, re-heated bacon, and preshredded cheese. Not worth going out of your way to try. If you’re there and have to get something to eat, it’s not horrible, but definitely not something you couldn’t make at home yourself. The truck leaks all over, and very often runs out of menu items.
