Allstate Insurance: Fleming & Conway Agency

I originally posted this review on the Round Rock location– it applies here too.
I deal with a lot of insurance agents in my line of work, and I trust Kelly Conway to handle whatever I need. That’s not just lip service, I’ve referred many of my own clients to Kelly because she does what a lot of other agents won’t– she sits down and gives them the one-​on-​one attention that they need. Where a lot of agents are worried about «quantity» of clients over «quality,» Kelly is the opposite– giving clients that personalized attention that lets you know that you’re being taken care of.

Very nice until they couldn t insure me and then there was no response.
Bad move.
Legitimate claims were filed on different properties and im a great customer yet the underwriter could do nothing.
Terrible terrible company, underwriter, etc.
You should work w ppl and earn our business. Trust me it s worth ur time.

I recently moved into a new apartment complex and needed to get renters insurance. The company the apartment referred me to was so expensive and a friend referred me to Fleming & Conway to get a quote. They premium I was quoted through Fleming & Conway was LITERALLY ¹⁄₃ the cost of this «renter only» insurance company that I was originally sent to. I was able to complete an online application and enroll right away. Amberley Holcomb followed up with me and was very pleasant to work with. I highly recommend giving them a call or visiting
like I did and getting a quote there.

I own a bartending services company that provides TABC-​certified bartenders for private parties, weddings and corporate events. I tried for many months to obtain a «liquor liability» policy to cover my company and employees. I worked with several insurance agencies in Houston, Dallas and the Austin area — but none could offer a reasonably priced policy. Most liquor liability polices cost about $ 25,000 and protects restaurants and bars — which purchase and sell alcohol. My company is unique, in that we only «serve» client-​provided alcohol to their guests. I was to the point of seriously considering closing my business. Then I contacted Fleming & Conway, who was able to find a policy that provided the exact coverage I needed at a very reasonable cost. I was amazed that I was searching all over Texas and the only company that could help me was 2 miles from my house. I also purchased commercial vehicle insurance and Workman’s Compensation insurance from them. I found the staff to be very responsive and knowledgeable. I have, and will continue to, recommend them to other business owners.

Writing this review to provide feedback to the agency and give a heads up to others based on my experience.
After 4 years with Fleming & Conway, 5 with Allstate, I had to move to another insurance company.
Here’s why. The Agency was GREAT at contacting folks for additional services, regularly emailing and calling to INCREASE coverage easily 2 – 3 times a year.
However, of those 5 years with Allstate, I didn’t have a single claim for auto or home. Yet my premiums continued to rise each year at 12−15% on average. Yes, that’s no exaggeration. Each year, I would have to call to see what was up, and every time it was the same story. You can lower your coverage to lower your price. Note that the price hikes for Home was Spring and for Auto was Fall. So I was generally seeing these increases twice a year, every year. My home value and car value didn’t increase yearly at 12−15%. Nor did my salary. At the point where I had been pinched enough, I decided to move on and notified them that I would not be renewing. Not a single peep. Not a «why?», or a «What can we do to keep your business?», or even a «We’re sorry to see you go.». While always calm during my interactions with the agency, maybe I just didn’t fit their profile. Or maybe their business model is to get new customers instead of keeping current customers.
I was able to find a provider with much better rates, and more importantly, much better customer satisfaction nationally.
If you like being pampered with new and better services, maybe this is the right agency for you. My interaction with them was positive for the most part and they have a large following. Best of luck.
