The staff here are the best and are always very helpful. This morning DeNay got me right on my way with all kinds of options when my flight was cancelled. I got to my destination with no issues and she even called me along the way telling me what I needed to do with all the standby flights I was on. This is fantastic when travel issues can make long days even longer!

Awesome lounge to relax while waiting on your flight to your next destination. Complimentary drinks and snacks are available as well as sandwiches and salads to purchase. Premium alcohol is also available if you desire. Kick back, grab a complimentary magazine or catch the latest CNN news.

I lost my 5000 $ canon camera package on AA flight yesterday(Canon 5D mark3, 24−70f2.8 lens, and flash light and some other accessories), these staffs be put in the overhead. But lost. The flight is from Austin to LAX, flight AA1261. The customer care in Los Angles did not find it back. It is too surprise… I feel very shark, it is my first time lost staffs on flight. I no longer think American Airline is safe any more! I should ask claim back from American airline but no response till now. Qunxi Tian

The Austin Admirals Club is a smaller club that sits on the second floor above the concourse between Gates 13 and 14. It shares a lobby with a United Club and is not as well marked so just keep on walking. The club features the normal amenities. I had the chance to spend 10 hours in the club when the airport was shut down for flooding in the control tower. As you can imagine, the scene in the club looked like a refugee camp film, but the attendants did an admirable(see what I did there) job dealing with scores of people trying to rebook flights, keeping tables clean, serving drinks with a smile, snacks restocked, and bathrooms clean. Nice job, Austin.

I’m a citi prestige card holder and was denied access because I wasn’t flying American that day. This was news to me and every citi prestige card holder should be aware of this. I wasn’t.

Great club. Updated and clean with new types of snacks. A great place to do work before a flight, or just lay back.

Who doesn’t love a «make your own coffee, espresso, cappuccino, latte» machine!!! It was still quite early when I visited so the alcohol and food were not plenty. However, it was clean, quiet and not too crowded. What more can you ask for on a day when DFW shuts down?

Everything is bigger in Texas… except for the Admiral’s Club lounge at Austin Bergstrom(Keep Austin Weird y’all. I guess). Yes the lounge isn’t that big, but at least its clean and relatively quiet(Morning flight). My highlight of this place is you can peoplewatch from above. Other than that, the lounge is fairly standard to what you would expect at an AA lounge. Also an added bonus if you’re gate 12, 13, 14, as the exit is close to those gates(14 being the absolute closest, which was mine).

This is a modern Admirals club, and certainly from a furnishing standpoint, very nice… However, it can get REALLY busy in this place — in fact, so busy that there have been several times that I’ve been there where I haven’t been able to find a seat. If this was a restaurant, it wouldn’t be a bad thing… but seeing how its a lounge that I pay for, and it’s ultimate purpose is to help frequent travelers get *away* from crowds, it kind of defeats the purpose. Service has always been acceptable when I’ve visited, but there can be quite a long wait time and the staff at times seems a little harried(I would be too with that many folks). Caveat: AUS is not my home port, so maybe I’ve just been unlucky with the crowds when I’ve visited.

Pretty standard(low end) AA club. Obviously not the size of the clubs at the hub airports. I find this odd for a few reasons. I would imagine most of the AA flights out of Austin are connecting flights — in fact they offer very few direct flights from this airport. Also given the plethora of better food options in the Austin airport — the overwhelming majority of the people in this AA Club are people who pay full price for the membership — not people who dropped 50 bucks at the check in kiosk. However this particular club feels more like the generic airport lounges you find in larger international airports — with no branding — low quality options and tiny servings of stale/flat snacks. The check in folks are ALWAYS very nice — even at 515am!(odd considering at DFW it is usually the total opposite) The bar is almost always staffed by one person — so if there is more than one person in the lounge getting drinks or food(or anything not free) be prepared to wait. Speaking of the food options — get something from the food court down stairs and bring it with you — there is nothing worth paying for here. The free«snacks» are usually the bagels(frozen before and thawed that morning — and they just crumble when you try to cut them open) and mini muffins. Sometimes there is mini croissants(usually not). They have a pitcher of juice — and a coffee machine with a few bowls of room temp half/half and sugars. Tiny cups too! Point being — grab your coffee and breakfast downstairs and bring it with you. In the afternoons you get the carrot and celery sticks and mikes cookies. The veggies are ok — and appreciated by someone who travels a lot and does not want junk food. The bar is usually hit or miss depending on who is working at the time. Your basic booze is complimentary with membership — nothing top shelf — no big deal there. Still — how in the world in Shiner considered an import beer… you know. here. in TEXAS. The last thing I want to mention is the bathrooms — they are not the cleanest — in fact — they are on par with what is in the terminal and they are tiny. Now I mention this because you would think this would be the one thing they would excel at — as the bathrooms and lounge area(read: not fighting for a place to sit in the terminal) are the real benefits of this lounge but those are the two areas that need the most improvement. I always find myself looking for a place to sit(just like in the terminal) and being a little shocked at the cleanliness of the restrooms. It feels like as AA has continued to devalue service(In the race to the bottom for all the airlines) the AA lounge has gone right along with them — which is odd — since the price has not dropped — just the service. Add to that more people getting access with different credit card programs. Not sure about that business strategy — more people — same price — lower service — but that honestly seems to be the new corporate motto for AA. If you have a membership already — then you will obviously use this lounge — though don’t expect much. If you are on the fence about it(and Austin is your home airport) or considering a day pass for $ 50, then pass. There is much better options in the terminal.

Best club in the system. All the AAgents there are friggin’ fabulous but I need to give a special shout out to Mary. I’m not the most frequent traveler any more but even if it’s been months since my last visit, she always remembers my name. One time I joked about an upgrade I was waiting on for a future flight. Unbeknownst to me, she worked on it behind the scenes and called me to let me know it cleared. That is above and beyond customer service. AAwesome!

I really wanted the Admirals club at ABIA to be my 200th review well it’s going to be #201! As a frequent business traveler anything that makes travel life easier is well appreciated. The folks at the Admirals club in Austin are recognized as the best in the AA system. You are always greeted by name and a smile. When I travel with my wife she is welcomed and treated like a VIP. There have been multiple times where I will receive a call to catch an earlier flight as bad weather is imminent or a long mechanical delay is forecasted. Yea the snacks, coffee, WiFi access is a plus but professional service and assistance really helps and is appreciated.

Comfortable way to relax before a flight, but what really makes this club a significant cut above the others I’ve been to is the great team that works there. Always a warm greeting, the front desk folks can brighten the dreariest business trip.

If you have to camp out at the airport, why not do it this way? Snacks, free beer, clean bathrooms, and nice relaxing chairs. March madness is here, so perfect to camp out! Lovely staff as usual, Jason is wonderful at the bar!

Best staff of all the Admiral’s Club lounges! The Austin team is super friendly and welcoming every time, and they are always willing to help with seat changes, upgrades, and the like. The club is on the smaller size, but there is almost always plenty of room to settle in and spend some quality time before a flight.

I give the Austin Admirals Club an F-. Dirty, no staff cleaning or refilling snack/coffee bar. Out of all the Admirals Clubs and airport clubs I’ve been in this has to be the worst.

I was sending off a friend back to Vietnam but she wanted to make a stop from here to California. So I didn’t exactly board the plane but I believe it went well since she didn’t have any complaints and not the type of person to get jet lag. My friend has english and french as second languages so I helped her a bit with getting the ticket and the receptionist were very nice. She went over the limit on a bag by 5 pounds which was okay except the other was over by 10 so we had to take it out or pay the extra $ 30. During the time we were standing there for a long time deciding what to do and the receptionist and ppl working there were very patient. Will come back here for international flights ^^

The first thing I noticed(after the putting green in the entrance) were the super nice ladies working the desk up front. I gotta deduct a star for a poor free beer selection though; Delta Sky Club definitely wins hands down on that front. My connecting flight to Dallas got majorly delayed due to a storm that closed down DFW. In situations like this, club access is clutch. I had made a few friends down at the gate and after discovering we were delayed, I brought them up here for some drinks and conversation. If you like to peoplewatch, grab a seat next to the windows that look down into the terminal :) 2 hours after my scheduled departure time, I figured I’d surely miss my connecting flight back home so I headed up to the nice lady at the counter and she was more than happy to stick me on a direct flight that got me home at the same time as my original flight that should have left 3 hours sooner… score!
