Please Beware! Many times you will read a bad review and you will think that the person who wrote it just had a bad experience with that Doctor and it couldn’t possibly happen to you! Well this is truly NOT the case. This doctor and her staff are the worst of their kind! The scary thing is you don’t realize it’s happening to you because they treat you like a princess as they create a lavish environment for you filled with smoothies, mints, and fine décor. Little do you know, you will be slapped with a hundred supplements to purchase, 30 mind baffling take-​home kits (to dissect your stool, hair, urine, etc.), and a very passive, non-​confident doctor whom only wishes to diagnose you with a mold problem because that is exactly what she suffered from.
I had been suffering for 3 years from extreme vertigo, fatigue, hair loss, and many more life altering ailments. Dr. Shippy was the straw that broke the camels back! I was in a very fragile state, couldn’t care for my two children, and was so ill that I couldn’t barely get out of bed. I had hoped she would be the light at the end of the tunnel, but instead she pushed me to the edge of despair. My first few visits with her caused me to have severe anxiety and depression, so much so, I had to sever all ties to this office.
Dr. Shippy charged me thousands of dollars for her services. There were countless take home tests which cost more money and time and was almost impossible to do as I was mostly bed ridden. When I took her beloved mold test and didn’t get the result she had hoped for, she made me go back and take it again, but this time making me take more of her glutathione product to draw the «mold» out! Finally, and after many many weeks and thousands of dollars, she diagnosed me with a mold problem. She even used scare tactics and set me up with a «mold sniffer» who came to my home and discuss what needed to be done and how I should follow the doctors orders in every way possible. By the way, my house contains no dangerous mold what so ever! She even suggested wearing a mold mask! So there I was… dizzy, scared, weak, and now extremely panicked and that is when I knew I had to seek out other help. I wanted to get all my records and results, but the office gave me a horrendous time getting them as they insisted I need to pay for yet another consult to go over them before I could have them in my possession. And if you ever want to talk to Shippy on the phone, You pay! If you want anything. You Pay! Money is one thing. but don’t pay with your health!
Luckily, I did find the real diagnosis and found a doctor who truly did no harm, but rather treated the root cause of my issue and saved my life!
Please…please…think first before stepping into Shippy’s smoke and mirrors and if you need a real physician who can help you… feel free to respond to my review.
Lastly…just want you to know this took me 2 years to write because I really didn’t want to relive this experience.

About 6 – 7 years ago my family was living in a house with toxic mold and we did not know it. We were sick and getting sicker and no dr could tell us why. After a year of suffering and searching for answers we went to Dr. Shippy. She was the first dr to suspect mold and she was right! It was a huge ordeal and our bodies were significantly affected by it.
Dr. Shippy helped us walk the road to recovery after this exposure. She has taught me so much about how to be well! I had significant gut issues, acne, hair loss and joint pain which is all resolved for the most part. I am still impacted today by her care and the healing my body has received through her wisdom. She is thorough, caring, intelligent and intuitive.
Dr. Shippy has changed my life and I will be forever grateful.

Dr. Shippy is a an amazing doctor and has helped our whole family, especially with our auto-​immune and gastric issues. Her knowledge of the body’s systems and grasp of how to treat auto-​immune disorders is amazing and her ability to sit down and discuss your symptoms and treatment options like a best friend is priceless. The one downside is that a lot of her tests are not run by labs which insurance will pay for so there is a high up-​front cost. In many cases, the treatment options include targeted supplements, and reducing foods which are causing the problem, so that gets more reasonable. We were paying less to use expensive drugs which our insurance company paid for, but now we are treating our bodies very simply by avoiding bad foods for us and we feel better and don’t have potential horrible side effects from the medicines.

My daughter has been seeing Dr Shippy for over 6 years, which is when she was first diagnosed with Juvenile Arthritis. Dr Shippy is not only kind and compassionate, but an excellent doctor. After many tests and time going over scores of labs she recommended dietary changes and suggestions of supplements, my daughter has been practically pain free and enjoying doing many of the activities she had to give up due to the pain and symptoms of arthritis the first years. Working with a functional medicine doctor requires commitment on the patients part, but it is well worth living a life of good health and being free of medications and their dangerous side effects. In following many of these dietary and lifestyle changes as a family, we have all benefitted
in many ways including eliminating all of our seasonal allergies… no more claritan, advair and albuterol as well as resolving digestive issues. Dr Shippy has truly changed my daughters quality of life and brought her back to a point of enjoying many activities that she had to give up due to arthritis pain.

I love Dr. Shippy! She is one of the most kind and caring doctors that I’ve seen. I have been suffering from muscle pain and exhaustion for many years. I’ve been to about 10 doctors in the last two years before settling on the diagnosis of fibromyalgia.
On our first visit, Dr. Shippy asked detailed questions, took notes and tried to make sense of my symptoms rather than give me a quick diagnosis and a prescription. It took a few months to find out that I had high levels of mercury, a parasite, many food allergies and some imbalanced hormones. This was ovewhelming for me, but her calm attitude and confidence that I would heal made it easier for me to go through.
After 6 months of extreme nerve pain and muscle aches, I’m almost symptom-​free!!!
I thank Dr. Shippy for taking the time to sit with me hours and direct me to what I needed.
The only bad thing about this practice is that the tests needed for diagnosis are not covered currently by health insurance. It’s very costly… but of course, how can you put a price on living pain-​free and unmedicated?
I’m not a big fan of supplements, but I had to take many, many of them to get my body to heal. Dr. Shippy will suggest supplements, dietary changes and possibly lifestyle changes… not just give you a quick fix. It’s hard work but it paid off for me and a few of my friends as well.
She has also helped my children lessen their food and environmental allergies and increase their overall health.
