So to follow-up on my review: Arise contacted me to address my concerns specifically around the costs. We discussed the going rate for similar procedures in which I provided cost information for other centers against cost that Arise charged. Through the course of the discussion they offered to provide an overly generous and significant rebate of the payment I made. They delivered on the offer. My impression is that I believe they would be open to discussing being competitive to future procedures which I will definitely take them up on. One of the items that came up in the conversation was how did I view their services outside of the cost aspect. In this area the technician was very professional and upbeat. The facility is new and clean with the latest state of the art imaging machines. As I said before, in the future I will give them an opportunity for my next few procedures. As long as they can be competitive(not necessarily lowest cost) and provide great service they will get my business.

I agree with SamW, except they told me there would be the separate, unknown radiologist charge(but only after all the other forms were filled out and they were collecting their fee). This place is already more expensive than others — I will go elsewhere for my next MRI!

Be sure to ask how much the reading of your MRI is going to cost. They do not tell you how much the reading will cost you upfront. The additional charge is never discussed verbally. There is many forms to sign and this charge is a sneaky one. An invoice comes in the mail from a third party MRI reader as a surprise.
