In love!!! I have lived in Colombia and have traveled around the country, and this is the most delicious and authentic Colombian food I have found in Austin since. Although the owners are from Bogota, the food reminds me of the coffee growing region, my fav! The arepas rellenas with shredded beef are very unique to Colombia/Venezuela, and if you haven’t tried them, you are definitely missing out, they are to die for, and are way different than tacos/gorditas/pupusas. The grilled masa/dough in the arepas was so delicious, and the beef and cheese and avocado with the tomato salsa was amazing. Although Artessano has tacos on their menu, tacos do not exist in Colombia, and the owner said they added them after everyone was asking for tacos. :/Do yourself a favor and skip those and try the arepas and patacones and fresh juices blended with milk. You will be in for a surprising treat. Cannot wait to come back to try the empanadas!

Terrific empanadas. Great texture and flavor. The bacon inside was too fatty for my tastes though, so minus a star. If they used quality bacon it would be the best. Patacons were good too. I’ll have to try more!

My boyfriend and I came here this past weekend and loved it! We’ve been trying to find a good Colombian place after visiting the country this winter. Artessano is the real thing. The chef is from Bogota and incredibly sweet. I got the patacones with beef and it was delicious and incredibly filling. My boyfriend got two different empanadas and loved them. I think this is our new weekend lunch destination!

Took an 11 day trip to Colombia earlier this year and have been looking for someplace in Austin that has Authentic Colombian eats. On this visit I tried the Beef and Hawaiian empanadas. Both of these were great and on par with the street food empanadas that you can grab in Medellin and Cartagena. Also tried the Plantain dish with Beef and it was delicious/full of flavor. They even had Postobon and Colombiana soda which I found out you can apparently get at Fiesta here in town. I didn’t get a chance to try it on this visit, but their«Colombian Bowl» looks like the Artessano take on Bandeja Paisa which is popular in the mountain regions of Colombia. All the entrees were under $ 10 and most were under $ 7, so good value overall. Looking forward to a return trip!

First I have to say that the women in the trailer were the nicest people ever! Then the homemade arepas were sooooo good. I also had a watermelon aguas frescas. It was fresh and perfect. I haven’t tried the empanadas yet, but I will. While I was looking over the menu, I asked about the patacones(fried plantain pieces) so they gave me a couple to try. Delicious. I highly recommend trying this place. It’s a gem.

I’ve never been to Colombia but if I did I wouldn’t be surprised if it were as delightful as this little cart. I stopped by after a sweaty jog and their Colombian Breakfast Bowl was perfect! The staff were extremely sweet and friendly. My bowl was fantastic! The pouched egg was perfectly done and the rice was flavored just right. The chorizo was very tasty and everything mixed so well with the avocado and fried plantain. I even got a mango smoothie-so thick and refreshing! Highly recommended.

Yummmmy vegan and vegetarian food. Very different flavors and taste. Loved the fact that it was all freshly prepared.

I was wandering the neighborhood looking for a quick lunch because I’m staying at The Doubletree. Franklins was sold out and I saw there were some West African restaurants around and I stumbled into a little courtyard of food stands. The first was Vegan African food. Unsure, I read another sign about the Colombian Food stand. Colombian tacos sounded interesting so I went for it. One adorable lady was working by herself and kindly took my order. 2 tacos and a lemonade for $ 7. I sat at a picnic table in the shade and about 5 minutes later she came out with my food. She asked if I wanted ice for my lemonade — tasted it. Oh so fresh and tasty. «No,» I replied and she went back to the stand with a warm smile. I opened the foil wrapped taco and was greeted by the fresh ingredients. Marinated chicken, eggs, beans and some tomato based salsa. So good! And the two tacos filled me up. Did I mention the lemonade might have been the best I ever had? I know Austin has so many great places to eat, but wow did I discover a tiny gem. You can see and taste the love she puts into every dish.

I. Love. This. Place. I love Colombian food, and this is the best I’ve had in Austin so far. The arepas are crispy and delightful, and the fillings are delicious. The empanadas are almost like filled arepas, crispy and fluffy and full of deliciousness like guava and cheese(OMG yes!) and the Hawaiiana, which has pineapple, bacon and cheese(SOMUCHYES!!!). The proprietors are delightful, and obviously make everything fresh. I didn’t try it, but they even have an arepa cheeseburger. In case you’re new to arepas, they’re corn cakes. Delicous, crispy, fluffy corncakes. Upon which you layer even more delightfulness like cheese. And then other stuff. And maybe more cheese. Mmmmm. Diet food? Not really. Delicious. Oh, yes. This whole trailer park is full of delicious food, and it’s hard to eat at just one trailer at a time. But while I recommend trying them all, don’t miss this little gem!

This place is legit! Fresh, tasty, delicious food! We had the empanadas– the Hawaiian! Omg! Crispy, tasty, cheesey– and with fresh pineapple! The chicken Ensenada was moist and the dough was terrific! Service was great. The owner was so nice, she explained the menu. Love this place!

As a Colombian, it’s always a pleasure exploring the Colombian food scene in Austin, and I’m very happy to have discovered this charming little food truck. I ordered a rice bowl with shredded chicken(arroz con pollo), Colombian pinto beans, and a couple patacones on the side. It was delicious. All I wanted was to scratch that itch for classic Colombian food, and I couldn’t be happier to have discovered another place that does that incredibly well. When my girlfriend and I came here, it was relatively early in the afternoon and ridiculously hot, which may help explain why the food truck venue was pretty empty. In case you come here during a slow time, as well, you may find the chef patiently waiting on a hammock with a book, like we did. She’s very sweet, and put in an effort to give great, personable service, in addition to making us amazing food. Austin is lucky to have her!

I tried the guava and cheese empanada and those are simply amazing. In addition to this food truck, there is an african and thai food truck in the trailer park. They have benches outside and cool artwork around.
