Austin Cabinet Refacing

I hired ACR to build and install new base cabinets on one wall of my kitchen where there were wall cabinets but no base cabinets, to remove the cabinets above my kitchen sink, and to reface the rest of the existing cabinets. Although the finished cabinets look very nice, the process took a lot longer than I was told it would. Furthermore, after I had already paid the balance, I noticed some problems that needed to be fixed. Nothing huge, but I’m certainly not happy with nails sticking out on the inside of the cabinets, which could easily cause injury.
I emailed Tom about the problems, and he suggested a day to come over and fix it. I had hoped to get it taken care of sooner, but I figured he was busy, and I assumed that he would actually be available on the day that *he* had chosen. And yet there I was, waiting for him to show up. No show, no text, no call, no email. I was late to work for no reason, and I suppose I’ll need to dig out my hacksaw and deal with the nails myself.
As I said, the cabinets do look nice. I don’t know that there’s anyone else in town who refaces cabinets in that modern style, so if that’s what you’re committed to, then go for it. Just make sure you inspect everything thoroughly inside and out before you write that final check, because once they have your money, they don’t care.
