First off, the curries are awesome. Even if you don’t think you«like» curry, try these. They aren’t the curries you’d expect to find at most Indian places. The brisket curry was a little too spicy for me, so I went for the chicken the next time, which has a more savory flavor profile. I also really like the egg curry, which is like nothing I’ve ever had before — a warm, sweet mix of spices. The cart has a bunch of spices and fixings available for use, so you can customize the heat if you want to. This is a grab-and-go kind of place, rather than a sit-and-eat kind of place. The curry and rice all comes in a carton with a spoon — and is already boxed up and ready, so there’s no wait. The curry is thick rather than runny, so it’s easy to eat while walking. Portion sizes were more than fair for the price and quality — one serving fills me up.

Just had some Japanese chicken. Amazing stuff! curry was perfect temp, chicken was very tender, and I was not too full afterward either. Portion was great. Also, wooden spoons? Who uses those anymore? Environmentally friendly people do, that’s who! Can’t wait to try more

The curries are delectable, easy to get to from campus(just across the street in front of the Co-Op, and server Shay is a delight! This is the place for lunch.

Seriously the only downside of this place is that it’s not located in my house. Jeff has made me a Curry Convert! ACB’s blend of spices gives rich depth of flavor to all the curries without making them burn-your-mouth hot. 10/10, recommend it to everyone I know

Easy, cheap, hearty, and yummy food cart on the drag! Vegetarians only have the one option(coconut egg curry) but this is not a major drawback. Because holy moly, is that stuff delicious.

There are plenty of places to eat in Austin, and on/around the drag the place is packed with food. So when something looks interesting and different, it’s always worth a shot. The curry box looked that way, and it was well worth the try. The staff(Jeff in my case, though he usually doesn’t run the stand — I think) is friendly, and the food is good. I got the egg curry, and it. Is. Awesome. The food is Goan style, and tastes like nothing else around Austin. If you see the cart and feel like eating something unique, give The Curry Box a whirl. You’ll like what you find.
