I feel scammed for sure.
My carkeys were in a backpack that got stolen over the holidays. My insurance company called these guys to come meet me at the airport to get a new key made up as I did not have a spare. The guy on the phone quoted $ 75 for a key and intentionally did not mention the extremely inflated labor fees. He told me only when it was too late to get someone else after we were already at the car with our luggage. The damage?
$ 75 for key
$ 120 for labor
$ 25 to open the car door (which he did with a key, btw. It’s not like he had to Macgyver it.)
With tax, it came out to just over $ 250. The total process from the time of him getting out the right key and cutting it was less than 15 minutes. (My car key is the typical piece of metal with plastic. No electronics).
Needless to say, I absolutely don’t recommend these guys. I was already jacked once over Christmas and these guys robbed me again.

AWFUL. $ 135 dollars for a two minute job. What the hell. I should of called around but that was my fault. What a scam

In short, these people are scam artists. I called in response to their $ 15 service call ads on Google. I spoke to the dispatcher who said it would cost $ 15 plus labor. I asked «About how much will that be total?» Since I already told her the make and model of my car, I thought she could provide a rough estimate, at least. She just repeated herself, so I asked «Ok, so not much more than $ 15?» and she said yes.
The locksmith showed up in about 15 minutes, took my ID and looked at my car quickly. He then told me the total would be $ 110. I told him that that was not what I was led to believe on the phone and he got very angry and tried to intimidate me into paying the service call fee. I had to walk away and get in my friend’s car because he was getting in my face.

Do not use. Say $ 15 for 15 minute but then charge outrageous assessment fees. My friend used them and she refused to pay their outrageous fee and the guy wouldn’t leave her house. She called the company and he still wouldn’t leave. It scared her. Never use this company. There are far cheaper more reputable companies in town.
