Autocraft is awesome. I have a lexus gx 460 and the dealership highly recommended them. They did high quality work on my fender bender and were very good with scheduling so that I didn’t have to wait unnecessarily. The staff was very professional. Highly recommend their shop and service!

We used Autocraft Body Werks to repair our Lexus because the Lexus dealership explained they are the only Lexus-​certified body repair shop in Austin. We live in Round Rock, so it was inconvenient to choose a body shop in South Austin.
I’m happy to say that the quality of the work and the excellent customer service more than made up for the long trip. From beginning to end, the customer service was excellent. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Autocraft to anyone who wants excellent service and high-​quality repairs.
We are very happy with the quality of repair. We can’t tell that it was involved in an accident (and it was $ 6K to $ 7K in repairs, we were hit from the side by someone who ran a stop sign).

I found this place from Unilocal– it had great rating so I took my Lexus SUV in for a small repair. They were very nice, organized and thorough. The ladies at the front are so nice and my tech was honest and professional — I think his name was Chris. I would definitely recommend them and I think they specialize in luxury cars!!!

What a pleasure it was to find a business that actually puts the customer first!!! Another repair shop had estimated it would take $ 1,800 to repair the scraps on the fenders of my 2013 Lexus. The helpful people at Autocraft took one look and said «I think we can buff that out». In about 15 minutes, they did, and after adding some touch up paint, the finished product looked. I couldn’t believe it when the lovely young lady said «No charge». I did tip the workmen for a job well done.

I have repaired my BMW 330i 3 times with Autocraft and they have always done such amazing work each time. The front bumper needed new paint after hitting a deer, then the bumper needed to be replaced after another animal encounter, and the last repair was to refurbish the rim and align the wheels. All of which was completed timely and made my car look new again. They are also all very friendly and made sure I was taken care off by the rental car company and the insurance company. Great job Autocraft peeps!

I was referred to them from Lex of Austin after I was rear-​ended last month. So far, they’ve had my car since July 23 and now it’s August 27. The car was supposed to be ready today and I was informed that there was an issue with my painted bumper being scratched during the re-​attachment process. Now, I have to wait until at least tomorrow evening. Very frustrated right now, so take this for what it’s worth. Maybe, I will amend this if it is called for at a later time, but right now is not that. My out of pocket expenses right now are racking up due to my wait time. Not fun.

Thank you so much AutoCraft! I was on the fence between buying a new car or fixing the one I had. John, at Autocraft was very patient and helpful with me. I picked up my car yesterday and the first thing I started doing was taking pictures of it!
My car is a 2006 BMW 545i is so shiny and glossy! I am so happy with the work they did. They went above and beyond all my expectations. They even put a new BMW emblem on it! WOW!!!
The team at Autocraft worked together so well. Vanessa, Manual, Tammy, and John kept me updated every step of the way.

Very professional and prompt. The front desk lady made the process very simple and straightforward though they needed it in the shop for longer than I would have like for them to have it. Though they did a stellar job on the repairs and worked with my insurance.

Very impressed. Figured out that all of us are so darn happy to be out of our rental cars and back into our «luxury vehicles» that we are willing to give all the credit for that simple fact to ACBW! However, I was very very impressed with the quality and knowledge of their staff (Joyce, you are one of The most pleasant people I’ve met in customer service in a long time AND you’re so extremely thorough and capable and friendly!) I felt like the owner (John) personally took time with me and he gets extra props in my book for rescuing a sweet pitbull that was abandoned behind their shop. He showed the parts in the shop and explained things to me without going into so much detail that I’d instead choose not to write a review. He explained the situation with my insurance company thoroughly and one can tell they have a LOT of experience dealing with insurance issues. They detailed my car and it looked better than ever and frankly it smelled amazing!
I hope I don’t have to go back, however without hesitation I would recommend them highly.

These people get my highest, unqualified recommendation. As a VP of Product and Design at a prominent technology company, I can assure you my standards are completely unreasonable. At least that’s what I’m told.
Due to a small blind spot and being in too much of a hurry, I managed to get my brand new (less than 5000 miles) black Lexus ES300H in a tussle with an SUV, which tore the driver’s side of my car from the rear quarter panel to the driver’s door. The truck’s wheel cut right thorough the metal and made a terrible mess out of an otherwise beautiful new car. It was a crying shame. I was just seriously bummed. It was mostly cosmetic. The total bill came to almost 8 grand… Ouch.
If I had one complaint, it would be that they tool a fair bit longer to fix the car than I had hoped. But given the high quality of the work they did, the impressive customer service, and their expertise at dealing with the insurance company, I ended up being out of pocket $ 50. So it would be ridiculous for me to complain about the time they took.
In the end, my car looks and rides as good as new. Their work was flawless. Period.
FYI, this happened almost a year ago but I haven’t had the time to write up just how impressed I am with Autocraft Body Werks.
My suggestion to you: Let the professionals do their job. Don’t rush them. And follow their guidance.

We got a holiday card in the mail from Autocraft and my husband said «Are they trying to tell us they miss us, because no one’s hit our car in a while?» I said «I think they’re just trying to say happy holidays, but it’s a good reminder to review them on Unilocal.»
Our Honda Fit is only a few years old, but two Austin drivers have already rear-​ended us when we were stopped in traffic. The first time it happened, we called my dealership friend who sold us the car and asked for a recommendation. He’s also restores cars so he knows his stuff. He said «Autocraft. The insurance company will hate you for saying it, but your car will come back looking like I just sold it to you.»
He was totally right. These folks are perfectionists. They’re also extremely pleasant and organized so they’re easy to work with. We always knew what was happening with our car and the likely timetable. They dealt with the other drivers’ insurance companies without bothering us at all. Our car came back perfect and also very, very clean. I don’t know if they only hire Virgos, or what, but whatever it is, it’s working.

This shop does really great body work. I’ve brought two cars here and been very happy with the repairs. That being said I’m sad to have to report the unfortunate experience in terms of customer service. I had service done on my vehicle in Sept of 2011. They never cashed my 700 check until Aug 2013 when it overdrafted my account.
I have a couple of problems with this. First, no one called me that they were gonna cash my almost two year old check. Is that really that great customer service they brag about? Manager John finally returned my call when I left messages that I was dissatisfied. He said «It would have been nice if you had let us know that the payment didn’t go through. «I’m sorry. I guess I am responsible for your business’s lack of organization. I was ready to forget the whole thing because he was going to pay the $ 35 overdraft fee for me.
He never called me back. Never sent the check. I know it’s only $ 35 but I guess it’s not worth losing a loyal customer over. I won’t be going back to this place after this and I won’t refer anyone else either.

Took our 7 day old Gmc Acadia that was rear ended to John’s shop and was treated like royalty. They kept in constant contact as to the status of the repair and kept the insurance company in line when it came down to doing what was in my best interest. Judging by the parking lot it appears he just works on Mercedes, Lexus and other high end cars but he works on all brands. I know my insurance company wasn’t happy that I sent my car to an independent like Autocraft Bodywerks but by law the choice is up to me so why not send it to a high end repair shop not to the one that give the biggest discount to my insurance company. Thanks to Joyce, Tammy and John for treating us right and taking good care of us, we would recommend them to our friends, family and anyone else that is not willing to settle for a discount collision repair job

I was rear ended AND pushed into another car over the holidays. I took my car to the Lexus dealership and they referred me to ABW. I’m so grateful!!! They were so easy to deal with and their customer service is top notch. The body shop that the insurance company wanted me to use quoted half of what ABW did, and were not near as thorough. ABW dealt with the insurance company and made sure I wasn’t taken advantage of. I went to pick up my car a couple days ago and was THRILLED when I saw it! It looked better than when I bought it new! They detailed it for me and everything! David and Joyce were especially awesome, I can’t thank them enough! Keep up the good work y’all are amazing at what you do!

Autocraft will refuse to let insurance companies bully them into using old parts just to save them some money, so my back bumper was a brand new part.
I got into a fender bender and turned my car in on a Monday. By Wed., they called to update me that my bumper was already in and waiting to be installed. When the insurance inspector came in to go over cars and didn’t have time left for mine that day, Joyce at Autocraft called to tell me to touch base with them so that they could get clearance to do their work for me a.s.a.p. Also, David who was in charge of my car rocks! Shout out!
If you’d like, Autocraft can also update you via email on the status of your car during the process. When they were done with it, they even included a little bottle of the leftover white paint that they’d used to touch up my front bumper, which I’d asked them to work on on my own dime since they already had my car. My car was sparkly clean when I got it back, with the mats cleaned and vacuumed and a couple of things I’d forgotten to remove from the car in a little cardboard box in the trunk.
You can tell that they’re a great shop to work with because you’ll see a plethora of the sincerest thank you notes over the years from folks of all backgrounds plastered on the walls of their office. Their office space is tidy, clean, with a couple of kids’ toys, and their restroom is clean, too. Enterprise was called and there in a jiffy as soon as I came in to turn in my car. Joyce runs the office and has been there at least 7 years, so she’s super knowledgeable and can even get the insurance process started for you over the phone if you give her your claim #.
Ah, efficiency and cleanliness!
Their Wassen Rd. location is tucked behind Benjamin Moore on SoCo and Stassney, so don’t miss the little turn-​on. Autocraft is a Lexus-​heavy shop so if you’ve got one, you shouldn’t even have to think about where to go if you’re near the the south side of town.

Words cannnot describe how awesome Autocraft Body Werks is! My vehicle was broken into and the thieves broke out the rear window to gain entry. I took my vehicle into Autocraft for the repairs and they repaired it the same day. Not only that, but they gave me a ride back to my home and picked me up later that day when the repairs were completed. On top of this, Autocraft washed & waxed my vehicle and shampooed the interior carpet and floor mats, giving my vehicle back to me in much better condition than I left it with them. The icing on the cake… Autocraft performed the work cheaper than the dealership had quoted to me. I just can’t brag enough on their professional services. Hands down, these people are simply the best Austin has to offer!!! What an incredibly wonderful experience… I will never use anyone else.

My Lexus RX 300 had it’s passenger side window broken into unfortunately. I was recommended to two authorized Lexus body shops. Autocraft was amazing and got me in the same day. My insurance paid for an Enterprise Rent-​A-​Car which conveniently picked me up. Chayo was our repair guy, and communicated with the price and fixed up my car fabulously. They had my car fixed within two days and cleaned the car immaculately! Chayo even painted a little rust spot. What wonderful service. Hopefully I never have to take my car in again but I highly recommend this friendly place to others.

I’ve had work done on my car twice in Austin. My understanding is that there are two major players in the luxury car bodywork business in Austin – Autocraft and Berli’s
In my opinion, Autocraft is the clear winner in the relationship. To explain, the rear fiberglass bumper on my car was completely demolished.
When first coming onsite, I was a bit hesitant, because the venue actually isn’t as snazzy or designed as well as Berli’s. I immediately raised a red flag in the back of my head, but this was another lesson for me on why to not judge a book by its cover. The staff inside was extremely friendly, and the lady working the register was the «let me bake a batch of fresh cookies for you» type. The onsite manager actually has his office right next to the front desk so he is very heavily involved in all transactions. I thought that this was very helpful. My poor baby had its rear trashed, and the last thing I wanted to do was leave it in the hands of a bad business.
More reassurance – «Yelp» reviews on the walls of the waiting room! Okay, so not exactly Unilocal reviews, but they WERE letters written directly to the manager. Looked like many people had a pleasant experience here. On top of that, they took care of everything for me – including my rental. Autocraft basically made a very dreadful situation absolutely pain-​free.
The end result – I was very satisfied with the body work done on my car. They did an excellent paint job on the new bumper and also provided me with an estimate that was much lower than the one I received from Berli’s. On top of that – when I opened my car, I was pleasantly surprised by a small cannister of body paint for future use on small chips/​scratches. Autocraft truly understands the concept of lagniappe – giving a little something extra – from an already pleasant experience.

And I have brought my collection of family haulers to this place for years. I am not one of their dealer customers, but they treat me as if they are trying to earn my business. If something other than the motor is wrong with your car, these folks know how to address it. And they don’t frown at having a basic walkin. And friendly folk too. Kudos to them.

This place does precision work. Unfortunately I have had to take my Lexus RX 330 there twice this year. Nothing is missed… everything perfect.
