Barley Bean

Tried the kale wrap (hot, on spinach tortilla) and the apple-​carrot-​ginger juice. Both were quite good. This place is inside a convenience store, which means it has no seating, except for one stool at the bar. Still it’s inviting and clean. Service was good. Will have to be back for coffee etc.

Very tasty! I got a white hot chocolate, which was awesome. Its not really a go and hang out at a coffee shop type of place (they have a little gas station type supermarket area but no real seating) but you could always go next door to Taco Deli and sit outside if you want to chill. The staff was very friendly too.

So on my way out of the neighborhood to grab dinner earlier this week, I found myself totally trapped on Spyglass/​Barton Skyway island by a sea of cars headed towards the Trail of Lights. With my dinner options now being limited to Barley Bean or the frozen meals at Barton Mart, I opted for Barley Bean. And yum, I’m glad I did!
This place is tucked inside Barton Mart, so it’s pretty much takeout only. (They do have one table.) They’ve got a good selection of juices, paninis, wraps and pizza. We opted for the margherita pizza ($ 13, I believe), and oooo I’m glad we did. It was delish. Just the right balance of cheese to sauce to basil. There were a couple people ahead of us, but the pizza came out pretty quickly — maybe 10 – 15 minutes or so.
When we mentioned that we were new to the neighborhood, the super friendly guy at the counter took his time explaining all the different menu options and gave us a free smoothie sample. Nice!

Great service and the best pizza and coffee in Austin tx hands down. Paninis are delicious. They made me try their cold brew. Guys! Honestly better than other ones in the market. Another successful Barleybean other than the main store in west campus.
Have to try their Barton creek by the golf club location .that’s a the new one. Chef Paolo who is the corporate chef at Barleybean runs the skyway location and makes the authentic New York style. Will be there again.

Outstanding food, I happened to drift in here from a job down the street, the «carnivorous sandwich «and the «blues» smoothie was absolutely amazing. Both of the chefs were very cool and super helpful with picking a sandwich and smoothie! Top notch food and service! Great job fellas

PLEASE GET IN AND GET OUT QUICK! I do not want to have to wait in line ever!!!
When I crave Barley Bean I want it right then and there! Call ahead, get your food, and go!
I love love love the salads and smoothies. The coffee is amazing, but the salads and smoothies have my heart!
Which smoothie? — The bluebonnet add kale/​spinach.
Which salad? just ask the staff for their favorite.

First of all, the people here are so super nice! They will help you choose if you’re ever indecisive like me.
There’s Kombucha on tap, coffee, espresso, tea, salads, smoothies, wraps, and more! I’ve had two smoothies so far and Fat Chimp is SO good! Banana, PB, chocolate soy milk-​YUM!
