Bartlett Tree Experts

We have been using Bartlett for several years, and they are the absolute best! Today they are doing major trimming and aerating the soil in our front yard and adding compost so that grass sod can be laid later on today. Several of our neighbors have started using them in the Park West area (Circle C) — and they have been very pleased! We always work with Andrew Anstrom — he is the Best! They also were helpful with girdling roots and making insightful suggestions. They are reasonable in their pricing and we sincerely appreciate their good work!

Yes, they are actually saving my tall Italian Cypresses!!! I will post pics later for all to see my camera is not working but will work on Sunday or sooner. Barlett is not cheap but well worth the time spent to fertilize and spray for mites that was killing my trees. We also got the arborist to check out one of the Cypresses that was looking sick and he told me to cut back another plant that was blocking the sun and wella it is working!!! They do several trees down my street very well known in my neighborhood and they all look amazing !!! I recommend this tree service to anyone who has problems with there trees and can revive ANY sick tree!

Steve Kinslow came out and did an excellent assessment of all my trees (12). I was impressed with his knowledge and insight. They only cut what was necessary at a super fair price. I will definitely use them again next year!

Bartlett Tree Experts were recommended to me by a neighbor and since then they have helped me with girdling roots, treatment for webworms and fall fertilization. Their certified arborist, Andrew Anstrom, is very knowledgable and has given me advice about other tree issues that I was able to work on myself. I trust his recommendations and feel confident that my trees will continue to flourish.

I find they are more expensive, but their work is excellent & they stand behind their work. They are are courteous & respectful of your property. They are very comprehensive in cleaning up the mess during & after they complete their work.

Bartlett Tree Service was recommended to me by my neighbor and they were great.
The best part… I could communicate with them… they spoke English. Jesse and his crew did a great job cleaning up after last weeks heavy wind storm, which downed a lot of tree limbs around our area. Besides cleaning up all of the blown down limbs, they also did a great job cleaning out some dead oak limbs, raising the canopy of some limbs that makes it easier for me to mow around the trees now. The three man crew were professional, polite and left my yard in great shape. They also raked up the leaf litter around the trees they worked on.
I am extremely happy with the service. Call and ask for Andrew Anstrom, who is one of the Arborist representatives. Andrew knows what he is doing and his crews were very good as well.
Bottom line… I got more than I expected and that is always a good thing.

Bartlett was recommended to us for tree service by family members that used them. After receiving a quote from them, I looked on Unilocal and was not excited about choosing their service. I contacted another company for a quote and debated between the two. We eventually decided to go with Bartlett. I am extremely satisfied with the results. The guys showed up on time and were very efficient while working. They even hung a tree swing for us. I had to leave before the project was completed and when I returned, my house looked much better than it did when I left. Everything was cleaned up and removed. I absolutely recommend Bartlett Tree Experts.

I am not very happy with this tree service. They came out to look at one of my trees that was not doing well. They indicated that they could save the tree if I spent $ 250
on a tree treatment… They applied the treatment and the tree immediately died.
I had them come back out and they suggested I pay them $ 300 to take the tree out and it was a small tree.
I had expected an apology and perhaps a partial remimbursement on their very expensive treatment.

I’m surprised by these negative reviews. We had a large 40 foot Elmtree that almost split in half on a Sunday durng a storm here in Austin. A very large branch was hanging precariously over the neighbors house. Bartlett came out immediately in the middle of the day Sunday and assembled a very very professional crew. They removed the dangerous limb. And returned 10 days later after attaining a permit from city to remove the remaining tree which had a large amount of rot within its core. They performed all of the services at very reasonable price and in the most professional manner I have ever seen a tree company work. We lived in central Austin for over eight years now. I’ve worked with several tree companies in this by far was the most professional tree service with quality employees that I have ever worked with. Steve Kinslow was their certified arborist that supervised the project. He was exceptional as was their entire staff. Thank you Bartlett tree service!!!

I hired these guys to trim my four beautiful pecan trees. They promised to leave the canopy nice and low but to thin it out to maintain the health of the trees but when I arrived after the work was done, the branches were a good 6 to 8 feet higher than agreed upon.
In addition, Steve Kinslow agreed to leave the pecan wood that came from my trees and sure enough, that one slipped his mind. They took all of the wood with them… was really looking forward to my firewood.
If you are looking for someone to actually listen to your instructions, you may want to search carefully. This is big and expensive work and there are no do-​overs.

I sent a request via email to have my fruit trees examined and did not hear back for almost 3 weeks! She did not even call me but only sent an email (with no apology for the late response) saying there was nothing available for 3 more weeks and if I still wanted to book an appointment to call them… No thanks. I went elsewhere. (This was the Austin office, I am not sure if there are multiple offices)

Not to be trusted. For $ 170 dollars I was «guaranteed» they would kill the insects infesting 3 of my 4ft Texas sages. Months later the bugs were back and Bartlett wanted to charge even more and put me on a «maintenance plan». I paid $ 170 bucks for nothing! Could have torn the bushes out and replaced them for much less (which I had informed them of when I made the initial investment.) I was only later told that the mealy bugs I had commonly needed to be continuously treated. Failing to let me know that upfront when I asked is what makes them dishonest. Don’t waste your money on empty promises. My money is gone and the bugs are not!
