Belly Up is in my top 3 food destinations and has been for the past year. Brenda, the mastermind of the trailer, is very friendly and takes obvious pride in the food she serves. Everything I have had here is steller, but the Belly Up rice bowl is my favorite. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Plus, Indian Roller, the bar the trailer is located at, also rules.

Yummy Food Recommendations: Belly Up Rice Bowl PNW Rice Bowl Lone Star Sliders This truck is located in the same place as Indian Roller. Food can take a while, but as do all food trucks. Worth the wait :)

Steps to a succesful experience — Order 1 of everything. REPEAT. The eggplant fries are amazing … order 2, you will thank me later. The sliders are my favorite over the bowls… however everything is really good!

Heard there were gluten free sliders, so ran down to try them. Turns out not only are the sliders gf, but the fried chicken… which resulted in hand clapping and bouncing. Then the wait, would it be good or good for gluten free. Hands down just plain old good… better than good, great. And I finally found caramelized onions I didn’t have to scrap off the bun(longhorn sliders).

Super yummy food, friendly service! Lots of shaded spots to sit. The food was so good I barely minded sitting out in the heat. I had the Indian Roller Veggie rice bowl, the fried squash was to die for and the coconut cream sauce was fabulous.

We’ve been to Belly Up a couple of times and it’s only more delicious each time we’ve gone. Last night we had the Salmon rice bowl, the newly added vegetarian rice bowl, and some summer squash fries. Both bowls were excellent, even the veggie one had tons of flavor and the green beans were perfectly cooked. The squash fries were a little messy but totally worth the work. Absolutely stellar food! This trailer is now at Indian Roller which is also an excellent bar. We went last night for their summer movie double feature night on Sundays.

Excellent! This is what really good food truck food should be! We got the fried chicken slider with side of sweet potatoes with queso fresco and chipotle wasabi mayo, and the spinach quinoa salad. Both were PHENOMENAL. Side note: Great location! Indian Roller is a great new bar with a really cool atmosphere. The outdoor space is a bit quieter and far more verdant and natural than nearby Moontower Saloon(which is also a great place, but sometimes you feel like something a bit more mellow). Anyway, AMAZING food.

Belly Up! is one of the best food trucks in South Austin. Brenda beautifully mixes the tastes of Polynesia and the Pacific Northwest. The grazed pork belly is to die for and offers instant gratification to your hunger pangs. The signature rice bowl, The Belly Up!, is amazingly delicious. Also, it comes with a fried egg! However, the best thing on the menu is the Asparagus Fries. They are masterfully prepared and served with their own dipping sauce. I urge everyone to get there early because Brenda tends to run out of them by 9pm. All in all, if you’re new to the area, let Belly Up! be your first introduction to this up and coming location.

I was at Indian Roller the other night and the Belly Up! food truck was there. I had The Lonestar pork belly slider and it was the best pork sandwich I’ve ever had. It was served with a delicious sauce on the side and some grilled sweet potatoes that were so much better and fresher tasting than the standard sweet potato fries that are typical. I will also say that I was very hungry when I had this and though it was a lot of food, I had to order another pork sandwich a la carte, because it was so damn delicious. Brenda is super cool too and even though they were closing up the truck, she still served me.

Sooooooooo Goooood! I feel slightly ashamed at how often I want to call Brenda for a to-go order. Then I think, #sorrynotsorry! I always get the sweet potatoe basket, the quinoa/kale salad with pork belly, and the Belly Up. My husband and I order this X2 and Brenda thought we were ordering for a crew. I was like, «Nope, just for us!» Grabbed beers at the Indian Roller and you will have one of the best meals ever. She’s timely and the prices are competitive. Great attitude and good food. Would totally recommend. PS — Heard she’s only doing a three month trial down south. So if we want to keep her show her some love!

Went to Belly Up! for the first time last night and loved it. The food was fresh and had delicious flavor, the owner/chef was friendly and gave us free beer. The fried sweet potatoes and the SXSMessy were my favorites! Definitely a food truck worth trying.

Loved their sweet potato soup, which was made with coconut milk! And their sweet potato fries were some of the best I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to go back to try more on the menu.

Brenda is an amazing chef! I had the PNW bowl, which was tamari-lime glazed salmon, pico de gallo, queso fresco, and a fried egg. $ 8 for a delicious and totally sizable piece of salmon. The food was fresh and flavorful, and if I lived here, this truck would be a very frequent pit stop!

Love Brenda’s loco mocos. I’m from Hawaii and can’t find any food like home in austin. So when my husband and I found this food truck, and everything we’ve had here is so good, we were psyched and have been coming here almost every week. Helps Brenda’s super awesome person too.

Brenda’s a friend, so I’m biased, but dang! I had the signature Belly Up! Rice bowl. The flavors were amazing… I’d never thought of a fried egg, pineapple, rice and pork belly coming together, but it does, it did and I’m a happy camper for it.

LOVED Belly Up! I’m not typically a pork fan but Brenda, the owner, managed to create some truly sensational and creative dishes that will appeal to the pork lover and healthy-ish eater alike. The Michoacana salad was light yet filling with a delicious vinaigrette made primarily of lime juice and fish sauce. My boyfriend inhaled the Lone Star slider and probably could have eaten two more. I can’t wait to try the Evergreen and Grass Roots of the Day next time, both of which will feature fresh greens from a local farmer’s market. Be sure to get a couple items, as salads and sliders are on the smaller side, plus everything is so good you’ll want to try lots of items.

«The Lonestar» pork belly slider was ridiculously delicious and Brenda, the owner and chef of the truck, was super nice. She just opened her truck for the first time as of yesterday(12÷29÷14) and yet you would never have known. She let us try one of her rice bowls with a fried egg, avocado, onion and chorizo. It was so good that my friends and I were fighting for bites of it, as well as the slider. Go show her some love and get the Lonestar slider. You will be thanking me. Jessica&Kabryn
