I have purchased these at whole foods in Dallas and they are delicious. My only problem is they are extremely overpriced. $ 7.99 for 6 small cake balls? I’m all for quality ingredients and paying more for it, but this is outrageous. You need to reevaluate your price point because these just sit in the refrigerated section, not because they aren’t good, but because they are $ 8! $ 4.99-$ 5.99 would be a reasonable price range for your product. I would buy them all the time, but I can’t get myself to spend that kind of money on your product.

They made my son’s 1st birthday cake smash cake and his actual birthday party cake. We LOVED the cake taste and design. My son was allergic to dairy, soy, and nuts, so it was wonderful to find this bakery makes things without any of those allergens. I cannot say enough great things about this place and the delicious treats they create.

Look, I’m a Catering Sales Manager for a different company that doesn’t carry GF desserts. However, I had a client asking for some. My wife being vegan, I asked her to help in my research. In the process, we came across some Better Bites Bakery products at Whole Foods. My wife was very impressed, I could tell when she immediately rolled her eyes upon first bite. Lol. She LOVED it! I called BBB, set up an appointment to drop in and learn more. I was highly impressed with the cleanliness, staff, customer service, products and Leah, the owner. Plus, as a consumer of the real Hostess cupcake(as my beltline will attest,) I had to try the GF cupcakes. They were awesome! But I really loved the Choc Chip Cookie Dough! And I like my food with Gluten! Go figure. Leah has a great thing going. Drop in and pay them a visit.

I *love* Better Bites! Their Mostess Cupcake(filled with whipped coconut cream — OHMYGAWD) is the stuff of my dreams. As someone with Celiac Disease, it’s nice to find a place that I trust AND like. After reading some of the reviews — I’m thinking that people aren’t letting their cupcakes come up to room temperature. They’re going to be hard if they’re straight from the fridge! Sit them out for a while to let the frosting soften. ;) #protip

Nasty! Nasty! Nasty! I’m glad I’m not going to try this again! Give me an actual cupcake any day! The cupcake was hard not fluffy like a regular cupcake and gritty like sand. I’m not sure that I will ever try these again!

I discovered Better Bites when I was taking my kid to art camp last summer. It became an(almost daily) ritual to go get cake balls. I thought after having to go gluten-free that cake balls were a thing of the past for me, but lo! Delicious, moist cakeballs have arisen on the west side of town! My daughter likes the Red Velvet the best, but I love the cappuccino. They also have cookie dough bites were are delicious but highly addictive. I haven’t tried the cupcakes yet, but it is only a matter of time.

Four small cake bites for a big $ 12.99 at Central Market. I bought them without looking at the price tag – which must be their marketing plan. Sure, they were good, but definitely NOT worth $ 13. That’s just cakeballs crazy!!!

We order my vegan, gf, and sugar free cupcakes from them every year and they are the best cupcakes I have ever tasted. The cupcakes are presented beautifully, very well priced, and so delicious. The batter is moist and the frosting is sooo creamy, and they are the perfect amount of sweetness. In fact they are so delicious and sugary tasting that I forget how healthy they actually are. I highly recommend the grasshopper and the strawberry flavors, and the Moistess Cupcake which is not sugar free but sold in Whole Foods, is to die for! Great product, Great company! very friendly and happy to help you with all of your allergy and health concerns.

B.B.B. blew my tongue away when I first tried the Cookie«Do» Bites that I picked up from Whole Foods. Vegan or not, this is truly one of the best desserts I’ve ever tasted period. Even just one(a day:) is extremely satisfying! After this discovery I had to drive out to the actual bakery and see more of what this wonderful company is all about. The super friendly and helpful person there made my experience enjoyable, so I bought and have now tasted several more cakeballs and a couple of cupcakes too. My standout favorites are the Grasshopper Cupcake, Triple Choc-A-Lot Cupcake, and the Pumpkin Pie Cakeball. The chocolate shell they use to wrap the bites/cakeballs has a fantastic texture and taste! Treat yourself and your family to a fun outing and some A+mazing desserts you can feel good about!

Not soy-free, not quality ingredients. If you have severe soy allergy read their ingredient labels very carefully and inquire with someone who has a clue. When I gave Better Bites Bakery a try for a last minute birthday dessert for my mom, I was beyond disappointed. It is not about the taste or texture for me, it is about QUALITY. Quality and nutrition are simply NOTTHERE at this bakery. Yes, it proclaims to be soy free, but it is NOTSOYFREE, so don’t be fooled. The bakery uses toxic ingredients like canola oil, Tofutti products(which CONTAINSOY), Earth Balance(which contains both SOY and CANOLA oils), non-organic potato starch and EnerG Egg replacer(where once again non-organic potato starch is the first ingredient). I even called ahead of time to ask if the bakery had any desserts in the cooler that would not contain soy, canola oil and agave syrup. They said they did. I came to get my desserts, trusting that the woman really did check for me. So, I grabbed a bag full of cupcakes without looking at the ingredient list, but double-checking verbally one more time: «so these are soy free, canola free and agave-free, right?» The woman gave me a resounding«yes». I paid and took my goodies home. Minutes after getting home I decided to look at the ingredients one more time and what do you know?! All the junk I listed above was INMYCUPCAKES! I got pink lemonade, strawberry and Italian cream cupcakes. Yes, they most definitely contained soy and canola. Better Bites Bakery may be vegan and gluten-free, but it is NOTTOXIN-FREE and NOTSOY-FREE by any stretch of imagination! I would take real, pastured organic butter, quality eggs from happy hens and quality, clean ingredients that don’t kill my planet over the choices of ingredients Better Bites Bakery uses. I only gave it one star because I wanted to write a review and believe the thought of trying to bring something to people with allergies and food intolerances is noble and I support that. The execution of that thought however earns Better Bites Bakery no stars in my opinion. Toxins are toxins and people who have food allergies and intolerances are exceptionally vulnerable to toxins in foods. And as someone who knows how to cook delicious meals and desserts I am disappointed that better ingredients are not used. So many wonderful, clean options are available today to make delicious desserts and the person who runs Better Bites Bakery really should know and care BETTER. I am not even getting into the next level of quality like sprouted, organic gluten-free flours and higher quality sugars(such as coconut sap, raw coconut sugar, maple sugar, quality honey, etc.). At the moment there is nothing better about these bites and they are definitely not worth the premium price this bakery charges for them. I have no experience with placing a special order at this bakery. Perhaps if you special order something it may be truly free of things that you cannot eat… but I wouldn’t bet on it and I definitely wouldn’t take their word for it! What I care about is quality of my food and its sources. Sweets are a treat for my family and we do not indulge in them every day. However, when we do I am still very firm on eating NON-TOXIC foods. My family will not eat unfermented soy and soy containing commercial products, cheap and harmful sweeteners like corn syrup and agave syrup(which is not any better than HFCS), canola oil, safflower oil, and other toxic oils that poison people and our planet, low quality salt and non-organic vegetables that are known to be heavily treated with pesticides(such as potatoes for example). We do our best to avoid gluten, but not at the cost of replacing it with toxic, nutrient-barren substitutes.

Boss brought this in to work. First of, I’ve never had a snicker doodle anything. Second off, never had gluten-free desserts. Third, never had better bites. There’s a first time for everything and this was a hit! Tried snicker doodle bites and cookie dough bites. 5 stars each. Can’t wait to visit the shop!

So delicious! I’ve eaten so many cookie dough bites, that I had to break for two months lol no lie! Everything they make is wonderful. They are more expensive(by two bucks) at Whole Foods, so if you have the time. Go straight to the bakery! Gluten free and vegan. What more could you want?

They made my wife’s birthday cake(carrot cake with cream cheese frosting!) last year and made sure it was soy-free, gluten-free, and vegan so it was safe for both of our dietary issues. It was so good. I can’t even. It was actually too rich for me to finish my piece… but that’s okay because my wife was more than willing to finish it.

They are SO willing to accommodate any food allergy! Great communication, lovely people, and super yummy treats! I get their cupcakes for the office(as there are a few of us with food allergies) and even the junk food junkies chow down on them.

First I’m not a vegan and Gluten free person. But I do like to eat gluten free treats. I stopped in to pick up a few pieces to try. They didn’t have a lot of choices. Said they only put what they have left from orders they are filling. I end up with 4 different flavor cake balls and grasshopper and chocolate cupcake. Cake on all not very moist, very cake-ky. I’ve has gluten and vegan free bake goods before and good ones are still moist. Now I won’t be going back because I’m not vegan or gluten free. If the treats were out of this world, I would probably stop by every week. But if you’re a gluten and/or vegan free person, I would absolutely stop in to try them out. It was still chocolate-ly good.

I haven’t been to the bakery but through Whole Foods I have tried a variety of their products. The churro bites, cookie dough bites, and mostess cupcakes are heaven!!! I was hooked with a product sample, now I can’t stop! They cost a bit more than your average product, but that just makes me buy them less so hey maybe I’ll lose some weight :) Not a big fan of the brownies, they just don’t have enough chocolatey flavor in them to do it for me. Also, the double chocolate breakfast cupcake is super yummy :)

Not a huge retail selection as they are more wholesale focused but they did have a few tasty treats that caught my eye. Their brownie was dry and crumbly but they redeemed themselves with their cookie dough bites. Pretty much how I make them at home; tasted the same too. Overall they didn’t really leave a lasting impression.

Located near Oak Hill in southwest Austin, Leah runs BBB with friendly service to go with her tasty dietary-restriction baked treats. Not only do they make gluten-free and vegan baked desserts, they will also make soy free, nut free, just-about-ANYTHING-free desserts for you if you specially request an order! Personally I am a giant fan of their brownies, as not only are they gluten-free and vegan, but they also are free of bean flour/sorghum(which although gluten-free, I find a lot harder to digest than white rice flour which BBB uses). BBB always lists all their ingredients on the labels of their products, which is handy.(They do use EnerG brand Egg Replacer, which I feel they ought to sublist the ingredients of on their labels, but since I know this includes Ingredients: Potato Starch, Tapioca Flour, Leavening(Calcium Lactate, Calcium Carbonate, Cream of Tartar), Cellulose Gum, Modified Cellulose I’m ok with it. :) The BBB retail storefront, on the same premises as the bakery, is fairly new, and until recently they had very few retail items on display, but that is slowly changing. You can mix and match items to buy while you are there, so if you want 1 X cupcake with 1 Y cupcake instead of 6 – 8 of the same cupcake, you can do so. Better Bites Bakery has got good stuffs goin’ on. Their items can be kind of pricey, and are a bit more expensive if you buy their products at locally stocked stores such as Whole Foods since the store has to take a cut. But if you need certain-flour-free baked goods and/or vegan desserts, especially if you like buying local, these guys are a great bet.

I love how they cater to those that have allergies/intolerances in addition to the normal eaters out there. I’m lactose intolerant so I try to stay away from most baked desserts but Better Bites is dairy free, how cool is that? I know, it blew my mind when I heard about it so I had to try it. I’ve tried the blueberry scones and the cakeballs. The scones were awesome! Sweet and tart, the blueberries were fresh and gooey. I had them for breakfast and they were perfect! The cakeballs were so good they didn’t last long. You can’t even tell that these are dairy free they’re so good. Whether or not you have allergies or not I urge you to try them out. It’s guiltless, painless, and delicious!
