Check this place out! The food and drinks are outstanding. I think the owner greeted us when we first walked in. She brought us water and suggested we try the Rosie’s Fries! Very friendly and knowledgable about the menu. We tried Rosie’s Fries as a starter and ordered all of the gin mixed drinks they had to offer. Safe to say this is a perfect happy hour spot! We were already discussing another visit before our awesome main dishes arrived. I got the Patty Melt. It was huge! I was only able to eat half at the restaurant, but the next day I heated the leftovers in a toaster oven and it was still delicious! My friends were happy with their meals: Billie Dog, Sliders and Haban~Blue Burger. Everyone was so full that we didn’t end up doing much after dinner. It is smart to share at this place. Now our actual server seemed a little overwhelmed. The drinks took a little time to get and one of them had to be sent back because it wasn’t made correctly. I think they may need an additional server or bartender. something was slow. This is still a new place, so I figure things will go much smoother the next time.

Waste of my precious money! They have a lunch menu but a burger and fries is still $ 8, soft drinks $ 2. The cheese fries are terrible they are shredded cheese placed on hot fries and as soon as they start to cool its a big pile of greasy yuck! The beer battered onion rings tasted burnt and the batter was way too thick and greasy. The slider hamburger patty tasted like it was from my daughters school cafeteria. The salad wedge… was a Full head of Romaine lettuce laying on a platter swimming in ranch dressing, with sliced onions and bacon pieces on the top and 2 ¼ slices of tomato. I could not even cut it to try and eat it without one of the two tomato slices falling off the plate, most salad wedge’s are a ¼ of iceberg lettuce not a whole head of Romaine! The only soft drinks they serve are Maine Root which you have a different flavor and at $ 2 a glass it was wasted money. The waitress did switch out my flavor once but the next was just as bad. We went at 1:15pm on a Friday, there were only 2 other tables that had customers and only one did not have their food when we arrived. It took 45 minutes from the time we sat down until we got our food. Waste of $ 24!

Don’t mind spending the money if it’s worth it but not. Fries came out before food about 30 minutes — they were dry and hard. Burger when they finally came out were blain and not good at all. Would not go back.

Hubby and I both had the veggie burger. I thought it was lacking a bit of flavor. The patty was good, but the spices in it made it taste very«curry-y». I have to be in the mood for that kind of flavor. The cheese fries were great!

Oh my god I just had the best hamburger in South Austin just hours ago and it wasn’t at Billie Jean’s. It was from Carl’s Jr jr on slaughter lane and I went through the drive through. It cost me about half of what a burger would have cost me here at Billy Jean’s. I honestly think that if BJ’s wants to remain open they are going to have to do something about their menu prices. I mean, almost $ 20 for a burger, an order of fries and a soda. If you want to get generous and tip a few dollars that’ll run you close to $ 25. And I’d really rather have a burger from Carl’s Jr and throw in bacon and it would still be a fraction of the cost. I really want BJs to succeed because we do need a nice place to go to. Right now it’s ridiculous and I don’t see a pot full of gold at the end of this Rainbow.

First time here, and I will definitely be back! For my first time, I went with a basic bacon cheeseburger. It was cooked to perfection, and unlike lots of burger joints, they actually build the burger right. The pickles and other toppings were evenly distributed instead of in a clump. FANTABULOUS wait staff! They want to make dang sure you enjoy your dining experience. Just an all-around great dining experience.

Found this place while driving and decided to take my beau for a dinner date. Not many people were inside upon our arrival, but with them being fairly new, we decided to go on in and give it a try. Waitress was kind, quick to take our order and quick to bring our drinks. We ordered the frito fries, two burgers and a half and half order of fries and rings. Our appetizer came out and was quite delicious. Brought up our hopes about our burger order! Although they looked wonderful, they were quite bland. No flavor in the actual burger itself. In all honesty, they tasted as if they were frozen patties. After we finish our meal, we received our bill and to much surprise, it was expensive! Definitely caught us off guard. Mediocre environment with very over priced food. Was really hoping this was going to be a fabulous place. Probably won’t be returning.

Service and wait time for food is terrible. Be ready to wait 1 – 1.5 hours to get an appetizer. Had to leave because it took over one hour and only one appetizer showed up out of three. Couldn’t wait any longer as the place was about to close and we made the wild assumption that you could order a burger and fries and eat it within an hour. Place wasn’t busy either, inside was half full.

It was just a 3 star place. That’s as good as I can describe it. 2 stars is more realistic than 4 that’s for sure.

1st time here and I’m a fan! I’d be an even bigger fan if the burgers were a couple dollars cheaper or came with fries. I ordered the outlaw burger, Frito pie, and a side of fries. It was 21.99 with tax. We ordered to go and only waited about 10 mins for our food which came out very hot and fresh! Hubbie and I got home and tried to devour it all but we couldn’t finish the burger. Their portions are big!!! We split everything and still had a ton of fries and half a burger left! The burger was cooked to a perfect medium. Very juicy and the brisket made it perfection! The Frito pie was awesome! You can’t go wrong when brisket chili is involved! Side note: Thanks for giving us plastic ware, napkins, and ketchup! We didn’t even have to ask as it was already in the bag. Kudos!

We’ve been here a couple of times and had the chance to see it built from scratch. On one occasion I had the smoked brisket chili, which they call an appetizer. It’s huge! I didn’t have room left to order a meal. It was good, not the best though… The fry to chili/cheese ratio was imbalanced; too many fries! On our last visit I had the Moroccan Burger. It too was a big burger and I found the ingredients went well together. The burger was hot and juicy. I had a side of fries that was enough for 2 people. I appreciate the staffs friendliness each time I’ve been. I asked to use an outlook for my laptop and they were more than wiling to accommodate. They have a quiet little outside seating area with plenty of parking. There’s bar seating as well. I used a Facebook offer to get 10% off of my last meal. I just had to show her the offer on my phone and she deducted it.

The burgers here are excellent and the beer selection is above average. I’ve seen a lot of complaints about the price of the burgers, which I’ll admit… Are pretty high($ 9 – 13). Here’s my take on this: If I want a good, cheap burger I go to Whataburger. If I want a better quality burger, I go to P. Terry’s and pay a little more. And if I want a handcrafted gourmet burger I either fire up my charcoal at home and get to work, or I can take the family to a locally-owned restaurant like this one. I know I’m going to pay a premium, but it’s worth it if I get a quality product that has been hand made with quality ingredients. After eating here three times, tried three different burgers and the cheese fries… It’s very clear that this place meets that expectation. I also like that they keep a good selection of local beers on tap and in can/bottles and seem to keep some in rotation. Only suggestion I would have is to expand that local selection a little.

My girlfriend and I where really excited to visit this place. I had seen in the Nextdoor app that they where new, local and delicious. After a day tubing we decided to come and get a burger. My girlfriend order the Moroccan and I order the Swiss and Mushroom burger. The way my girlfriend describe her’s was bland. Mine was dry and had no taste. Maybe it was just an off night, but it was so bad I don’t think we’ll give it a second chance. The highlight of the night where the cheesy fries and our server.

Not bad burgers. Service was decent, but not over the top friendly like I had hoped for. I dined in with another person. I requested no mustard and mayonnaise in its place. My friend ordered a burger with mustard. They switched our burgers. When I pointed this out I was offered a side of mayo. That’s great, but it doesn’t solve the problem of my burger that’s drowning in mustard. We got what I thought was a half hearted«sorry.» No additional attempts to make it right or compensate for the error. I’m curious to try additional burgers there and will give them another shot. I work in the area and after months of watching this place being built and the anticipation of a great burger joint, my first experience was disappointing. Hoping the next will be better.

Really impressed with this pub and burger joint. Friendly staff. Lots of burger choices. I had the veggie tofu black bean burger with goat cheese. Great flavor but patty did not hold together well. .. Tasted great though. We shared fresh cut fries and beer battered onion rings both great. Hopefully the patio will be covered and have more seating as it has potential. Burgers average $ 12.00 and side of fries is $ 2.00. Local draft beer around $ 5.00 per pint. 3 burgers, basket of fries and rings, 4 drafts and an ice tea was $ 78.00 before tip. Not cheap but worth it for good burgers.

We were excited about visiting this new burger joint last Sunday. The hours on Unilocal indicated that they were open and I was reassured by the fact that the owner herself posted on the page that they would be open on Sunday’s after June 1. Unfortunately when we arrived, the place was dead. I wrote the owner a message inquiring about the discrepant information, and received a surprising reply(see pic). Not only was it rude and unprofessional, but was also defamatory. She accused me of calling the restaurant when I have never once dialed their number. Being closed when you’re supposed to be open is one thing, but being aggressive and rude to potential customers is unnecessary.

The best burger I ever had! Seriously, I’d bet Billy Jeans will be written up to be Austin’s best burger pub! The atmosphere is fun and classy. Like all of the burgers, sandwiches, fries, salads. The staff, the bartenders, ., all quality all classy, I LOVETHISPLACE. And I can bet you will to! A hands down 5 star !***** * beer wine and a full bar !!
