I have lived in Austin since 2000 and generally slut around when it comes to hair stylists. That combined with impulsive last minute appointments have lead to some bad haircuts… But it’s just hair and grows back… No worries. So this month I did my normal thing and called Bradz for a same day appointment and was assigned Olivia. Then I proceeded to get the best haircut ever! Seriously. It’s normal for your friends and maybe some coworkers to comment on your new haircut. But the girl behind you in spin class?! Your dentists receptionist? EVERYONE I encounter tells me how much the like my haircut. It’s borderline annoying. Needless to say, I’ve already pre– booked my 6 week hair cut with Olivia for the first time ever. #sluttynomore

My hair has never looked better! I started going with a Groupon but keep coming because of the service. Jim is a magical artist with my hair color. Lauren has helped my hair recover from a really bad cut. Salon is relaxed and not pretentious, although once in awhile it can get loud.

Great experience! Great color! Great people! The staff was very knowledgeable and I left very satisfied with my new hair color. I brought my baby with me and they were also very patient and accommodating with him, which I really appreciate. I will be going back!

***ASKFORLAUREN!*** Seriously the best cut I have ever gotten! She took the time to do a consult and ask about my daily routines. I can’t express enough how happy I am with my cut. She took off about 5 inches. I was tired of pulling my hair back into a ponytail. She did such a great job that I can just shower, blow dry and go! Definitely go see Lauren at Bradz!!!

Wonderful experience every time I go to Bradz. Open on Monday which was great for my schedule. Ashlee colored, cut my hair — it’s gorgeous! Brad is the real deal. I feel like I’m talking with a friend. I live northwest and Bradz isn’t convenient but I won’t change. Boutique feel.

I got a couple of OK hair cuts, but when I went in for highlights it was a nightmare. I looked like a striped zebra and the experience was terrible. They put you in a «quiet» room upstairs to wait while your color sits, but the guy(I think it was the owner) was sitting in his office with the door open having a conversation with another employee. It was extremely off-putting and NOT relaxing whatsoever. It takes FOREVER to have your color done there, but the end result is not good. I hated how the owner would make a big production about giving the stylist a basket of products towards the end of your haircut. And if they forgot it became a big to-do and was awkward. It’s a cute place, but there are many other options for better cut/color.

Best in Austin. If you have curly hair, go with Jim, he is amazing!

I and my bridesmaids got our hair done at Bradz for my wedding. The experience was pleasant and my hairstylist was awesome but two of my four bridesmaids had issues with their hair falling down just an hour or two after getting it done.

With a heavy heart I give a not so great review of my last visit to Bradz. I will say I usual get great hair cuts from here and I did like my simple buy pretty cut. But the color appt was oh such a big disappointment. I wanted to go blonde and made that clear when booking and at the arrival. We went through pics and talked with other stylists in the salon for ideas. I was there at opening at 10am. I do have long thick hair that can take a few hours, BUT this experience kept me there getting colored until almost dinner time. I did not have lunch and I rarely got out of that chair. It took forever. I was patient and nice. All because I thought it would be worth it. At the reveal, to my sheer disappointment my hair was still brown. Nothing much changed at all. My husband bought me this salon day as a gift and after he was $ 200 poorer and I was nothing blonder, he also wasn’t impressed. I really hesitated to make this review but I am just still so upset about it. The colorist didn’t even say goodbye to me. I have a feeling she knew it was a bomb.

This review is a little late considering it’s been a couple of months since I received my facial. I love the aroma as soon as you walk in you can tell it’s an Aveda salon. I waited downstairs for my Esti to pick me up but thought it was odd there wasn’t a new client intake form. I mean I know it’s Aveda and it’s not like I was getting a chemical peel but there was no skin questionnaire. After I was changed and on the table she briefly spoke to me about my concerns but before analyzing my skin had already decided on what products to use… Which was odd to me. I work at a spa that sells Aveda and have a multitude of products at home. I was disappointed that she used what I had at home. I wanted a little something different I mentioned being concerned with hyperpigmentation but it wasn’t addressed. On the bright side she was really nice and friendly so that was a plus. I’ve heard nothing but good things about Bradz but my facial was like getting one from the Aveda Institute. I was really disappointed.

Happy birthday Katie! Awesome job on my cut and layers! She gave me exactly what I wanted and listened to all my concerns I had. Brady was able to work with my schedule and get me in right away! This mama I so happy!

Cnè here was wonderful. I got the red violet highlights on my hair. We started off experimenting and the 1st time wasn’t satisfactory, she offered to do the highlights again for free! And we made sure we get it right this time! I would recommend this place to anyone.

Purchased a Groupon and used it towards a haircut and color gloss. I had Lauren, who did a fabulous job. I was extremely happy with the cut. Also, as someone who has curly hair, most stylists simply leave my hair wet and curly and don’t offer to style it. Lauren offered to blow dry my hair straight, which I really appreciated the extra effort. It looked fabulous, and I got tons of compliments. I am looking forward to stopping by again the next time I need a cut.

Finally decided to color my hair again after 10 years. The stylists at Bradz did a great job helping me choose the color red and a new clean cut. Thanks!

Just moved back to Austin and was feeling kinda shaggy. On a friend’s recommendation, I booked an appointment with Alexis. The haircut was great, but the service was spectacular! A shampoo before AND after the haircut made sure an itchy neck didn’t drive me crazy; she also gave me a «mini men’s facial, complete with hot towel. It was nice, but not really my thing. Overall, a 5 star experience, and Alexis is highly skilled and very welcoming. I’ll be back for sure!

Brad, the owner of Bradz, was very kind and generous with his apology and willingness to make an unpleasant situation right. I appreciated his call and genuine desire to operate his business to the best of his abilities even when mistakes happen. I’m upgrading my review to three stars and would be most willing to give them another chance.

Fantastique! I went in about a month ago. Let’s see it was 1pm on a Wednesday, could they fit me that day? Why yes of course! By 4pm, I was seated and getting a consult with the ever observant, detail oriented Harmony. I wanted it ALLLOPPEDOFF and yesterday. So we did a mock up, she held up how much hair I would lose. Er well, uh maybe not! We settled on six inches. I went from stringy hair to a flippy flirty cut which everyone at work complimented me on the next day at work. Winning! Oh and Harmony spent like an hour and a half with me because she is a perfectionist. Brava Harmony! Oh and PS, the product you recommended for my fine hair, the Aveda Phomollient is AMAZING. Score again.

So it was time for my biannual haircut, and since the stylist I used to see at another salon recently departed, I decided to try Bradz. I’m glad I did! My stylist, Malia, was awesome. She was really friendly, and I was impressed with how quickly she cut and dried my hair — I never felt rushed, she just seemed really efficient. With the Unilocal check-in deal, my haircut was only $ 35. Yay! My boyfriend got a haircut from Jim, and he was also really happy with the results. He’s thrilled that he found someone that understands his longish, thick, curly hair. I do think their front desk needs a little help. The girl at the counter was nice, but I was mis-charged for someone else’s appointment, and then told the wrong price for a few makeup items I was interested in purchasing. Also, my boyfriend got some sort of freebie bag since it was his first visit, but I didn’t get anything, even though it was my first visit as well.
