Word of warning– BronZen Airbrush Tanning stood me up for my pre-scheduled appt, so I called, emailed and texted to find out what the problem was. Owner Lori Martin never got back to me. She has other bad reviews on Unilocal too, so I would stay away from her business!

I bought a groupon for a mobile tan with Lori and she was amazing. She is fun and professional and keeps the whole experience relaxed. I am in love with my tan, and excited to show it off this weekend in Mexico. I will definitely be using Bronzen again and recommending to all my girlfriends.

I joined Bronzen on a 2 month promotion rate to give them a try and I enjoyed the look of my airbrush tan most of the time. However, doing business with owner Lori Martin proved to not be professional. As a loyal client/customer with any service provider that I have ever had., I am good for a lifetime of patronage. Provided they treat me with dignity and respect regardless of the cost. Lori is preoccupied quite a lot. She does own a number of different type of businesses and she may be in over her head at times. She has missed appts. because she forgot to put me on her schedule and she’s been late a couple times as well. The competition in Austin is far too great to do business with someone who doesn’t place their highest priority on quality customer service.

I received my first airbrush tan from Lori about a week and half ago and L-O-V-E-D IT! I was leaving to go on vacation and she worked me into her scheduled last minute. She was awesome — professional, polite, fun and made me feel at ease. I’m will defiantly refer my friends and family to BronZen. Thank you Lori!

This business has a lot to learn about customer service. Their booking system is TERRIBLE! I recieved a discount airbrush tan thru for this company and I figured I’d give airbrush a try. I went on to the website to schedule an appointment and they give the option to include the dates that you were available, the problem is that their hours of operation are NOWHERE to be found on thier website, so how are you supposed to plan around your schedule if you don’t know the hours of operation? Then I got an email saying they could not get thru to my cell so they asked that I submit another request for an appointment which I did a second, third and fourth time… still nobody contacted me. So now I have to actually make a visit to the downtown offrice and see what the problem is. If this is how they do business then its not worth it. UPDATE: 8:40AM Friday May 20, 2011 Not but 30 mins after i posted this review did I get a phone call from someone named Lori. Her first words out of her mouth were, «This is Lori from BronZen Tanning, and I just read your review on Unilocal,do you realize the damage you can do to a business by posting something like that on Unilocal!!!» She called me to YELL at me to inform me how inappropriate it was for me to to do that. I am in shock that this lady called me and scolded me for what I think is my RIGHT to express my dislike for the service that I paid for. I do not know this person, I’ve never met this person and what she did was UNPROFESSIONAL and vulgar. Her tone and attitude was offensive and threatening. I did tell her that I will be reporting her to the Better Business Bureau. I DONOT recommend this business to anyone. Had she called me to resolve the issue in an appropriate and professional manner I would have come back and updated the review and made sure that everyone knew that it was a great organization to do business with, but its quite obvious that this Lori person has anger management issues. (I’m still in shock that she called and yelled at me) FORALLCONCERNEDTHISREVIEWWASNOTDONEINHASTEASTHEOWNERJUSTSTATEDINHERCOMMENT. Regardless of the situation it is STILLUNPROFESSIONAL to call up your paying customers and call them out on a review that they did. I am sorry but there is no excuse for this behavior and posting on my review to explain yourself will not make up for the fact that you indeed were quite belligerent with me. I just want a refund and let by gones be by gones. I’ll take my business elsewhere. Thank you.

I am so glad I doscovered Lori and BronZen Airbrush tanning. I have now been sprayed twice in the comfort of my own home and have been thrilled with the results! I was really skeptical about the whole thing because I am really fair skinned but the color BronZen gave me is really pretty and natural looking(not to mention so much healthier than exposing your skin to the sun and it’s damaging rays.) It just makes you feel good to be tan! However, standing naked in front of a stranger is a nerve racking thing for me and 99% of the women that I know but Lori calmed my nerves, was very professional and friendly and made the process painless and fun. I have only tanned for special occasions but I like it so much I think I will start doing it just because! I definitely have and will continue to recommend BronZen!
