I don’t get a chance to stop by CJ’s trailer often, as she’s only open mid-week, and I’m generally in S. Austin. It also can be hit or miss with trailers, as no one can be expected to be there all the time. Unless they have a team, this can make it tough to depend on them. In any case, she’s a very skilled barista, and a great talker! ;-) Her trailer is in a lawyer lot, and it’s a pretty chill place. I usually get there too late to get any scones, but I heartily recommend them, so go early if you can. I’ve had Americanos and lattes there, and her espresso is excellent. Her milk frothing microfoam skills set her apart from most. I’m only sorry I didn’t remember to review her place months ago. Please patronize! :-)

I highly recommend this trailer! I’ve tried several of the drinks n’ food stuffs and everything is really good. In particular, the Mocha is the BEST I’ve ever had and the chicken-salad sandwich is better than my mama’s. Plus, CJ(the owner/barista) is super friendly and down to earth. As other reviewers mentioned, it’s across from the ACC Rio Grande campus. This means that if you happen to go during one the ten-minutes time frames before/after class, there can sometimes be a little bit of a wait – but nothing unusual. CJ pretty much makes everything fresh and takes her time to make it a high quality product. And so, if there is any wait at all, it’s definitely worth it.

Bru is literally my favorite. I can honestly recommend everything on the menu, because I feel like I’ve tried everything on the menu. CJ is the best. It’s so clear that she’s passionate about whatever she’s making, because everything always turns out great. From cookies and scones, to sandwiches, to juice, tea, coffee, espresso, whatever she does she’s just a wizard. Go here.

The coffee looks delicious and I’m anxious to try this place but I have to say I’m a little frustrated at the hours. I looked on the website and it said 8ish-6ish and I have been by there three different times between 8am-5pm and each time they were closed. My sister and I decided to give it another try so we drive by around 4pm and they were closed again. :(I think the hours need to be a little more concrete to save potential customers a drive.

Love this coffee trailer! CJ is awesome, and makes quite tasty coffee! I’m a bit of a coffee snob… And I’ll definitely be back! :)

I was studying for my summer classes at ACC when I stumbled the trailer outside of the campus. Curious one day, I decided to have a look see, and I’ve had the greatest coffeehouse drink that’s not Starbucks related. Owner CJ’s friendly as hell and she’s amazing as the drinks she creates! I love her iced coffee and her Turkish Lemonade the most as to kill the blistering Austin humidity. ACC students, be sure to visit her after studies.

I’m writing this just based on one visit so far, so I’m hesitant to give Bru five stars for now. That being said, my one visit was great. Not only was my beverage tasty, but the owner was really friendly and helpful. Bru also accepts payment through the PayPal app(actually, how I found out about this place), which makes paying super easy. The trailer is located right across the street from ACC Rio Grande, which makes it perfect for ACC students to go and grab some high quality caffeine and/or a yummy snack before/between/after class. I’m not an ACC student and am not in the area that often, but when I am in the area again, I intend to swing by and try something different. If you’re using any sort of navigation system, do note that it might put you on the wrong side of the street. Look to the East side of Rio Grande, not the West.

I tried a small espresso Horchata and the strawberry blue cheese scone. Both were very good… the espresso was a frozen drink, that tasted like a sweet coffee with heavy cinnamon flavor~delish! I was also pleased the small drink and scone was only $ 4! Cute ambience, love the little plants/herbs by the order window.

CJ uses happy unicorn tears and elf toe jam(it provides the unique spicy flavor) in her homemade Chai. I felt magic in my tummy all afternoon after sipping on this sweet warm drink made with almond milk.

Unilocal currently states it is closed today, but it is Saturday and I just got a very yummy fresh ground cup of coffee with freshly made cream! She currently also has fresh made cranberry oatmeal cookies that are very delicious!

Needs an address and what roasters they use on their website. Two most important things? Yes.

Typically, I wait until I have tried a place several times before I review it. You know, to ensure that I didn’t have a once in a lifetime experience. However, after my first visit, I was so impressed with the quality of my drink that I haven’t been able to stop thinking about going back. Plus, this place is new and I don’t want it to disappear before I get a chance to go back at least 20 times. I definitely qualify myself as a coffee snob. Back home, I worked in a coffee shop for 3 years with exceptional standards for their service. Since moving here several years ago, I have searched Austin for a barista that properly foams milk. Unfortunately Austin hasn’t really wowed me. It’s not just an Austin thing, it’s just the way a lot of shops run to speed the process along I guess. However, there is nothing that allows me to relax more than sipping on a perfect latte or a dry cappuccino. So, I settle for places that serve cinnamon simple syrup(rare) and a great espresso roast(hit or miss). I don’t treat myself to these things often, so when I do I at least want them to justify the money spent. But you can’t have it all, right? Turns out, you can. Hit this place up immediately. I sampled a few beverages before I ordered, that were the definition of a treat. Lots of items that were featured are made in-house, including their simple syrups. From what I tasted, this CJ is exceptional at what she sets her hands to. Next time, I’ll have to try some of the bites. Moral of the story? Seek and you shall find.
